This was really powerful. The biblical points you present are effortlessly so strong. And you speak to your audience like they’re competent adults capable of thinking for themselves. I pray witnesses and ex-witnesses find and watch your content; your presentation is comfortable and familiar, yet you take it to the depth and veracity many are probably starved for.

To take the 144,000 as literal would mean taking the seven congregations and the twelve trines of Israel in Revelation as literal if we are being consistent.

Not sure what happened but I thought I subscribed. Well I did now. I love your videos (very through and to the point). It's almost comical this threat mentioned (not to mention "We are not going to change it" from Tony Morris, or "Ballld face liiies" from Steven Lett) are always in their studio. I wonder how they would handle themselves if they had to go to a press conference repeating the same kind of talk.

I didn't know how or what to make of it all after leaving. I learned more in your 35 min talk than I have in years!! You know why?? Because it finally finally makes sense!!! A denomination is defined as existing within a specific country. There are 33,000+ total of these "Christian denominations" in 238 total countries. These 33,000 are subdivided into "6 major ecclesiastical-cultural mega-blocs", and ordering them by denomination size we have (I am rounding up or down slightly for convenience, using the year 2000 figures) : Independents (about 22000) Protestants (about 9000) "Marginals" (about 1600) Orthodox (781) Roman Catholics (242) Anglicans (168) So the 33,000 number is from the total of these 6 mega-blocs: 22000 + 9000 + 1600 + 781 + 242 + 168 = 33,000+ So which one of all of those Christian denominations is the true one started by Jesus? well that would depend on who you ask, ask a baptist and he will claim that his denomination/church is the right one, ask a methodist and you will get the same answer, his is the right one, all of them will claim they are the right one that Jesus started. as one can already see they all cannot be the right one as they all have at least one doctrine that is different from all of the rest or there would be some lesser number of them. Mat 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. The true church of Jesus Christ has never been prevailed against, though it has often faced sever persecution, yet it has thrived from the time it was first started, anyone who makes the claim that their church/denomination is just restoring what Jesus started are bold faced liars. to say that the true church needed restoration is tosay that it had been prevailed against and having fallen needed restoration.. It will be interesting to see what Jesus has to say about all of the denominations/churches/sects that have claimed theirs was the only true church of Jesus Christ. Personally I say none of the above, as the True church has existed down through the centuries never having been prevailed against and is made up of individual believers all over the world, no denomination or church being the true church, but believers who assemble themselves together can be found in many nominal churches.

Any witness that has been in the org. for a reasonable amount if time can see that he's lying. This is for the sake of people who are perhaps thinking about studying or those investigating the organization.

Abraham, Adam and Moses were friends of God and had direct back and forth conversations with him. Abraham, listen to your wife and the conversation over Sodom. Everything was very clear. Now we pray to God and eventually get an answer. Do the GB not see complaining about so called persecution they are fighting against God’s will? Those who take the sword trying to prevent persecution or their death (Jesus not fighting his death) according to God’s will. Jesus didn’t complain about being arrested. Those who live by the sword will die by the sword. (What are the statistics on that if taken literally?) Threatening if you persecute me God will get you. I will go to the UN and make a complaint. i really appreciate your videos. for most my early life i’ve been a witness. and i’m just waking up at age 26. it’s terrible how they vilify truth followers of christ with their misinterpretation of the word “apostasy”. It would behoove the GB to actually read the exact description of the 144,000. They are 12,000 x the 12 tribes of Israel. Single Jewish men whom have never known women. None of the current GB participants fit any of those descriptions. 🤔

It was when I read from Rutherford's own words that God's holy spirit doesn't help him as a president of WT, but rather ANGELS that communicate God's word to him. It was then I concluded that his dividing Christians into "Annointed" and "other sheep" makes the organisation a counterfeit and a scam.

400 years ago , when the English language was at its apogee (see the works of William Shakespeare and the 1611 King James translation of the Bible), the word "sanctimonious" literally meant "filled with sanctity." Today, the word "sanctimonious" is used exclusively in the ironic sense of posing as morally superior to others and this modern usage aptly suits David Splane. However, if David Splane had lived before the English language had been bastardized, what would be the appropriate adjective used to describe David Splane?

Your attempt to nullify the number of annointed brothers of Christ as being a literal 144,000 is a weak stretch of imagination. Should we ignore the 4 Living Creatures and say it was more? Or pass off the 24 elders as a symbolic number? to what end and for what purpose? The number 144,000 is mentioned in Rev 7:4 and again as a tally of 12 thousand from each of the 12 tribes but then it is mentioned as being overheard again by John in Rev 14: 1 and verse 4 again as being able to sing a perfected song like no others. These are specific with specific purpose. But let's use common sense. Their purpose is to rule as governors, as kings over small parcels of the earth, if 144 million people survived armageddon each king would only rule over 1,000 people. That's not a lot of people to rule over. If you believe that MORE are going to heaven then to what end? The meek inherit the earth, not heaven and the number of them are too many for one man to count. So it is practical that 144,000 would be more than enough to govern tens of millions, even billions later on. Often brothers on leaving the service of Jesus as a witness will rebell against the teachings that were so well respected while they were in. I cannot call it the truth, any more than any other religion, though perhaps more "Truthful" . Some revert to a default of believing in the trinity and christmas and all kinds of things they formerly detested. I don't believe I have a heavenly calling and I suspect any who claim to but I am not to judge but observe and be critical in my thinking.

I was baptised early 1970 and have preached in Arizona, California, New Mexico, Idaho, Oregon, Washington State, and I have never heard anyone tell us we need a permit. The only one's I have ever heard make that claim is the Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses, mostly in Watchtower study article's.

Gods word tells us to be in subjection to superior authority's. If you need a permit then you need a permit or you are taking a stand against the arrangement of God. They can preach all they want. They are not being persecuted.

Hi Eric, What’s your interpretation of the lords supper account in Luke where Jesus specifically tells his apostles they would be part of his kingdom judging the 12 tribes of Israel?

Interesting. If the 144000 are not literal, why does the book of Revelations name in detail the specific tribes allotting 12000 members for each tribe? 12 represents completeness, like 12 apostles and 12 gates, 12 foundations, and 12 baskets left over after Jesus's miracle. The scriptures name Israel to rule as Kingdom priests, and Paul speaks of Jews being specific to the fulfillment of Jah's initial promise to them as a people culminating in their full restoration as a special people toward the end of days as described in Revelations. Yes, Gentiles are grafted in according to the book of Galatians, but their role is perhaps different in the function of the body of Christ as members grafted in on the branch of a tree. Rational thinking would demand that we realize that a Kingdom needs subjects to be ruled over, so it would seem curious to believe every Christian and Jew serves as Kingdom rulers...Over whom exactly? No sinner or worldly nation will survive the plagues, bowls, and trumpets, nor will they be found after judgment. Unless the resurrected who died before Christ serve as Kingdom subjects, who will be judged by their deeds according to the scriptures, perhaps they will serve as subjects in God's upcoming Kingdom. 144000 seems to be both numerological and literal to me, considering the context of gates in new Jerusalem and the names of the tribes written on the gates. What needs to be noted is that the new covenant and the Abrahamic covenant offers life, a relationship with God and land, while the Davidic covenant, fulfilled by Jesus, may indicate that the Jews may rule alongside him as co-rulers. Just a thought.

Was disfellowshipped because my husband told the Elders I was going to dismiss the governing body, taking over myself, then resurrecting the dead. I was then abused by the organization My husband was taken from me, my home stolen, all income and savings stolen. An attorney told me all actions we taken against me to destroy my family.

After having received the Holy Spirit at pentecost Luke tells us in Act 2:39 « For the promise is to you and your children, and to all those who are far away, as many as the Lord our God shall call to Himself." We understand you and your descendants. This is certainly much more than 144 000 !

Eric, Jesus’ disciples asked Jesus to teach them how to pray. Are we to think that they didn’t know how to address God? Their request came because of Jesus’ statements about what and what not to pray for. Praying for food and clothing is something Jehovah already knows we need. Their request could have been worded, “OK, Jesus, what do you think we should pray for?”, or, “What are the most important things to pray for.” Jehovah’s sanctification was the first thing that Jesus taught us to pray for. Jehovah being concerned about his name being sanctified does not mean he will forget about our salvation, it means his sanctification is the foundation for our everlasting salvation.

....And the entire chapter 13 in the book of Romans must not apply to the GB. Why is he whining about govt authorities? Are we as Christians not told to be a shining examples to the world by submitting to the authorities? Knowing God has allowed these authorities to exist, are we bringing honor to God by following God's principles. Read all of chapter 13 and notice the GB is not doing any of it.

I appreciate Eric. Always backs up what he says with the bible. He uses reasoning, not opinions. Perhaps David could come to one of our bible studies and see for himself who the actual apostate is, when defining the term directly from the bible.

I spoke with my uncle that has not attended a WT meeting since 2018 but still has WT leanings. He said that the changes implemented in the GB update#2 are good and that this is probably, "how it always should have been." I then asked him how then can WT forget the actions of God to correct Israel's misgivings with the likes of Nebuchadnessar, then Cyrus, and ultimately even Rome as prophesied by Jesus, "Den of Shredders!- Not one stone shall be left upon a stone"? Good things come from Jehovah, bad things come from Satan. I'd say that is up in the air.

Imho, I believe this a two fold broadcast: 1. To appeal to the nations, as the religion is trying to rebrand itself to procure Gov’t funding removed from their charitable status, along w/ trying to stop the bleeding of losing current members & 2. “IF” Norway feels these changes are good enough to reclaim their status, the Governing Body will champion Jehovah as once again blessing their efforts, & no gov’t can stand its theocratic purpose.

Even when the green light is given to reinstate a person who met someone else at that time and had an awful time in a marriage situation (encouraged to continue in the marriage with gaslighting techniques from a few even though the previous wife had left after 18 months of marriage) the reinstatement itself is not a nice process as people just sit there instead of welcoming the person back. Although they avidly make an effort to come to see you when you don't carry on attending after a short time from the wonderful reinstatement experience at the kingdom hall. What annoys me is that we always believed that our voluntary contributions were the only funding that the organisation received. Nobody was told that the government gave any funding towards the organisation. (Unless the elders knew). I am disgusted as it now makes sense that those who I think know this will cover up their own family indiscretions etc. There were decent witnesses and I had some good friends but the organisation relying on government handouts is disgusting..

I know this guy has a big problem with The Trinity (as evidenced by his pretty long series of videos), but it's worth taking some time to try and explain exactly how it harms God and his relationship to us. Here this guy (don't know his name) states that it harms the Father/Son relationship, but to me that simply sounds not much different to the hollow pronouncements handed down by the GB. It seems to me that the Father/Son relationship is at best regarded metaphorically because we also have countless Earthly Father/Son relationships that come to mind and thus misrepresent the unique divine nature there. It's a pretty limited metaphor. As far as I can see, the concept of The Trinity does no harm to God and Christianity, and people should be allowed to hold it or ignore it as they wish. The only problem I see is that some people find it _personally_ hard to digest because they think everything should be simple..
