Incredible perfomance. Mike Scott is a truly underrated artist imo. He's an incredible songwriter. Tracks like Fishermans Blues, And A Bang on the ear, This Man is in Love, and my favourite Old England is Dying. He's also done some great covers like Dylan's Girl From The North Country and Nobody 'Cept You, and Van Morrison's classic Sweet Thing.
A lot of bands claimed, or were proclaimed, to be "alternate music". These lads should be the definition of alternate. Most of the other bands in that category were pantywaists in comparison.
Mike Scott kicks Dylan's arse as a songwriter and musician, IMO. But I hate to break it to you, but the 'light in my head' is about slipping into a coma on his deathbed. And the 'you in my arms' is his dead wife. But you knew that, yeah? Still happy??

I`m a huge fan, I`ve seen them on every tour and I remember seeing them play these songs on The Tube at the time. For me Fisherman`s Blues is one of the truly great songs. Thanks `Roy Grove` for posting this.

@@sifterdrifter9839 incidentally Queen and The Waterboys are two my favorite bands. Both were acused by so called experts being too selfindugent( WTF does it even mean) For me both unique and versatile bands covering many genres so they are never boring and vocalists with passionate voices and when you hear them first time you are hooked forever.
