0:47 and 1:03 sends literal shivers down my spine. It's just so gorgeous, her voice, the way the music swells and crescendos, the lyrics themselves. Seriously, Larian really outdid themselves with this whole game. It's a masterpiece deserving of GOTY. Those lines "Moon, sun, all remind me of your grace/Faith, care, all the love I can't repay" hit so hard. I think everyone has at least one person (or pet) they wish they'd spent more time with. That they regret not telling/showing how much they loved them when they were around. It doesn't necessarily have to be a deceased person or pet either, I think those lines could also apply to someone or an animal that you've grown distant from, or that moved away (or you moved away from). What really brings tears to my eyes though is "all the love I can't repay". Poor Alfira lost her mentor and didn't even have time to really, properly mourn her or say goodbye. Anytime a loved one is ripped away suddenly like that, it's painful. Watching a loved one slowly wither and die is also very sad, of course, but when it's sudden there's not even time to let them know how much they meant to you or to tell them the things you want to tell them. Not that I'm saying either is more or less painful, of course! Pain is relative and both types of deaths, sudden or slow, are painful in their own ways for the ones left behind. There is so much love that I feel like I can never repay, even to the living. Like my parents, I love them both so much and they have shown me so much love and kindness that I honestly don't deserve, and it feels like I will never be able to repay them for it. For all the pets I've lost, each one I have felt like I should've spent more time with them. And with this one family friend who was like a grandmother to me, I feel bad that I didn't spend more time with her before the end. I kind of knew her health was declining but... Idk. I will never be able to repay her for all the love and kindness she showed me. Same for my pets, even if I know they don't really "love" in the same way humans do. At least, not animals like rabbits or guinea pigs. Still, knowingly or not, they helped me though some rough times and provided me companionship, for which I will always be grateful for. There are others too, I'm sure, but can't think of off the top of my head and I think this comment is long enough as it is. 😅 P.S. This doesn't really have anything to do with the song but in general I always wonder how fictional characters are able to sing these really sad songs without crying (or sometimes even crying!) Especially if it's actual actors and not animated. I try to sing along but end up getting choked up and my voice gets squeaky and have to stop. Seriously it's hard to sing (let alone sing well) while crying! 😂

Found this on my second playthrough as a bard. Was blown away by the song of the harpies, then discovered this. Probably the best cut scene in the game, and one that most players won't see. Unbelievable
