Yes but Paraguay has a rightful claim to all of entre rios and southern Brazil so sooner than later they will fulfill their destiny and become the holy Paraguayan empire
2:44 The problem with this war is that people in the UK and California are too bad at geography to locate either place on a map. Therefore, it's unlikely that any combat would even happen.
@@Sparx632 I can't seem to find a lot of them and I live in the UK. I do have some friends who are really good at geography but I've also heard someone say that Africa is in China and China is in Japan so they kinda need capital punishment for that.
That'd be really tough and the easiest way to spark a WW1 level of hate and arguments. As the difference between a dialect and a language is more so socio-linguistic. Going from West to East just a few examples include: -Is Galician a separate language or a dialect of Spanish (or a dialect of Portugeese) -Are the regional varieties of Italy dialects or languages? -Is Swiss/Low/High German dialects or separate languages? -Are the western slav minorities in Poland dialects or a separate languages? Is Macedonian/Pomak/Torlak separate languages or dialects of Bulgarian? This can go on and on and on...
They don't have this flag ( the one with the snakes ) any longer, it was changed at the beginning of last year, because it was very controversial ( with hints at slavery it is a colonial flag ) , they now have a black red and green one, in fact it is the flag that is used by the independentists there ( Martinique is a French overseas department ) so...in a way it is controversial too because not everybody is in favour of Martinique's independence there ..; anyway it is a " regional" flag ( the ones with the snakes used to be a regional flag too ), the official, national flag is .. the French one ... a lot of regions of France have regional flags, not only overseas, it is the same in Metropolitan France too
8:57 My only experience with this is speaking German in Germany and what happened was they handed me a bottle of Coca Cola and an ice cream. They spoke English to some of my friends who weren't very good at German though.
5:38 And that's why I think Romanistan should be a Martian nation. The flag colors are similar to the Martian flag. Even the wagon wheel is colored red, something reminiscent of Mars.
There are a few more spots to look for such as Andorra on the French-Spanish border and Liechtenstein on the Austrian-Swiss border. You have to look closely but the differences are subtle enough that you'd never be able to tell at a glance
5:50 Fun fact: this meme is wrong lol as both Mexico and Brazil chose (except mexico) to be a Empire under monarchy right after independence, before being couped to being republics
Princess Mary soon to be Queen is from Tasmania , btw those things are grain silos seen in rural towns near grain farming areas sometimes the town is just the silo lol or a billboard in the case of the "town" near my cousins
0:26 i did spot the difference in the map and also that's not the only difference Luxembourg is drawn differently when everything else is the same down to the pixel. I'm guessing you wanted to erase Luxembourg but realized its too big ey?
10:51 That's Princess Mary, the wife of Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark, who will be proclaimed king next Sunday and she'll become Queen Consort. She was born in Tasmania.
11:30 As a spanish-speaking person, I almost died when Drew said "burlándose" meant "feeling bad for..." because it literally means the opposite which is "making fun of..."
5:50 I'd say most Brazilians definitely wish they could have kept their monarch though. Slave-owning coffee farmers basically deposed the king just because he wanted to end slavery and then they proceeded to kind of run the country into the ground. During Pedro II reign, Brazil's economy was growing as fast as the US.
Denmark will get an Australian Queen in 2024 Australia has had an English King or Queen since 1788 England had a Danish King between 1016 and 1042, and between 1013 and 1014.
9:08 No like like when i used to live in catalonia i was learning catalan in my school and when i said one phrase my friends went to our teacher and said OMG HE SPEAKS CATALAN
Always gets forgotten Smallest country in the region Has the coolest flag Wasn't really independent till very recently (UN doesn't recognise Kingdom of Montenegro) 🇲🇪❤️🇸🇷
11:39 I just realized, that right there, the golden text, it's in Ukrainian. It says "Prosecutor's office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea". I now want to do more research into the origin of this meme, but the photo was clearly made in Crimea, and has text that was clearly put there before 2014.
Petition for Drew to make a series covering Ace Combat and its multiple universes: [Day 340] The .340 Weatherby Magnum rifle cartridge was introduced in 1962 by creator Roy Weatherby to fill the gap between the .300 Weatherby Magnum and the .378 Weatherby Magnum, and in response to the .338 Winchester Magnum released in 1958.
11:35 the difference is, one of those countries early embarasses themselves by trying to make Chile give them back a coastline they lost almost 200 years ago And the other one beat up Bolivia in the 30s
About the German efficiency myth: when it comes to someone developing something - a machine, a tool, etc. - there can be great work. When you put several Germans together to accomplish a task, however, things often turn belly up.
Drew, Malta is an archipelago in the central Mediterranean (in its eastern basin), some 80 km (50 mi) from southern Italy across the Malta Channel. Only the three largest islands-Malta (Malta), Gozo (Għawdex), and Comino (Kemmuna)-are inhabited. The geography of Malta is dominated by water. Malta is located in Europe, in the Mediterranean Sea, 81 kilometres south of Sicily, Italy, and nearly 300 km north (Libya) and northeast (Tunisia) of Africa. Although Malta is situated in Southern Europe, it is located farther south than Tunis, capital of Tunisia, Algiers, capital of Algeria, Tangier in Morocco and also Aleppo in Syria, and Mosul in Iraq in the Middle East. The country is approximately 316 km2 (122 sq mi) in area.
paragay never had a coastline, bolivia did Every year on March 23rd Bolivia celebrates Dia del Mar ("Day of the Sea"), a patriotic event when the country remembers the loss of its coastal Litoral Province as a result of the War of the Pacific with Chile
