The e-Reader is another one of those gimmicky Nintendo accessories that I thought was so cool, but when I actually got one, I was instantly over it. I suppose it might have been different if I got it when they were still releasing cards for it, but I bought mine used in 2005, after Nintendo had already given up on it for our market. I never did get any of those “Animal Crossing” cards. I still think it’s a cool idea, it just wasn’t implemented very well. I would’ve released more Pokemon cards for it (hell, I think they should revisit that idea somehow, maybe on smart phones and using QR codes) and tried some of the more interesting promotions that never left Japan.
I've never seen a GBA e-reader used before. I think the coolest thing released for it are the extra Super Mario Bros. 3 levels! Maybe it could've had extra Yoshi's Island levels too...
RetroGameCouch Would be cool, but they're on RU-vid already. It also looks like they're included in the Wii U VC release. Hm, maybe I should get that, I am curious to play the levels myself!
Hello, thanks for your video. I know there's a way to inject e-reader levels into an original Gba game without having the physical cards (which are really rare&expensive). Do you know how? I was thinking maybe with a physical e+ reader and card's scan that you can find on the net ?? I do speak about an original cartridge. I know this is possible, a guy I know is selling an genuine Super Mario Advance 4 cartridge with 32 levels inside. I'd like to know how to do it. I'd really really love to inject extra content from e-reader cards for F-Zero Gp Legend. Thanks if anyone can look around to help me.
