I saved up two paychecks to take my wife to Wendy's for our anniversary and she wanted breakfast. She really hated that cheese sauce and I felt so bad that a day that was supposed to be special was ruined.

Don't know about the cheese sauce, but their breakfast potatoes make up for any shortcomings there might be with the menu. We wish they were available all day.😊

It would actually make more sense to do sliced cheese. I worked at A Wendy's a long time ago, and the sauces were mainly powder that you combined with boiling hot water (I did it with water from a clean coffee pot that we used solely for the sauce), since it is so early in the morning, odds are the sauce is fresh; I certaionly hope they wouldn't pile new in with anything left over. I imagine a swiss cheese sauce could just reinforce what many may not like about swiss, or the sauce is not of high quality. A shame, because setting up slices of cheese is so much easier than having to prep a cheese sauce.

Not normally one for cheese sauce, but Wendys breakfast quickly became a favorite after McDs stopped the Steak Egg and Cheese sandwiches (without the breakfast sauce), and the cheese sauce is pretty good too. Only went once per week when I was still working in an office, so it was kinda a highlight of my Fridays.

I love the sausage egg and Swiss croissant! I bet most of those people just don't like Swiss cheese. They're complaining that it stinks, well Swiss is a stinky, strong cheese. 🤦‍♂️

I've always liked the Swiss cheese sauce since I tried their most recent breakfast menu. I would argue that it tastes like real Swiss cheese which I gather that most Americans are not used to as most "swiss cheese" that is made in America I mild in comparison with actual Swiss Cheese. I hope Wendy's keeps it and people learn to appreciate the flavor.

I don't know what it is, but I prefer it to Swiss cheese. Swiss cheese is too much of a delicate, muted flavor. I want something sharper and more upfront. Also, do these people not realize they can just order the regular American cheese like any other breakfast sandwich?

Wendy's Baconator Combo has been my go-to breakfast on the go since I tried it when they brought back breakfast in 2020...I love it, sauce and all! Those spiced breakfast potato wedges are incredible, too...I could eat them every day!

Wendy's is notorious for using cheese sauce instead of genuine silicone rubber process cheese. I have seen process Swiss cheese slices at the grocery store so there is no good reason for this.

......I actually like the swiss sauce. I replace the honey butter on the "Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit" with the swiss sauce, and I like it a lot better.

Whether it's sauce or not it's still good! People literally make a big deal out of nothing.

I agree the the cheese sauce is disgusting whenever I order those sandwiches I tell them to leave off the swiss sauce and give me regular cheddar cheese.

Their breakfast hours stink. They open at 6:30 and the lobby not til 9

After my first experience with the “cheese” sauce I now make sure I only order regular cheese no sauce.

Maybe I was the only one, but I LOVED the old Wendy's breakfast. I went out of my way to get a sausage, egg, cheese w/lettuce, tomato and mayo on wheat sandwich. One was never enough. When they quit doing them, they lost a good breakfast customer. P.S. Am I seeing things or are the new croissants "square"?

The only fast food I eat is this croissant sausage sandwich for last couple of years. Probably, I ate more than 100. I always eat with a seasoned potato and with a dark coffee.

Here is an idea how to increase a profit by adding trimings , protein flours ( vegetable and insect one ) into budget friendly meal combos ( 1:10 meat trimings and rest flour proteins and seasoning )

After the disabled man, who had worked for Wendy's in Stanley, North Carolina for over 20 years, was fired for no reason, I vowed to Never eat at Wendys again. They food is no longer good, the employees are rude, and who wants someone who has 2 inch nails, scratching their heads, then handling my food. And don't get me started on leftover chili.

I love all the breakfast sandwiches at Wendy's. Their worst is still better than the disgusting sandwiches at BK. I actually like the sauce and go there at least once a week for a breakfast baconator and wedges

I tried it and it was so bad I threw it out.

I don't know where you live, but the Wendy's here has so few employees that the lobby remains closed, and it takes an hour to get through the drive thru. More people drive off than make it through. And the store has closed several times because of the lack of employees. Unfortunately they didn't tell the app, and we drove there for nothing.

Most of the people shouting the Swiss sauce down put Chick-fil-A , jack in the box taco and A-1 on their sandwiches...consider that.

The Swiss cheese sauce is horrible it's horrible I returned my biscuit it's good because I told them they put Manny's on ithe mayonnaise on it. They gave me a replacement with cheddar. But I do not even know why they would think about trying to use something like this. It's just horrible

Wendy's has my favorite breakfast sandwich, the classic. In 2nd place is McDonald's sausage burritos. In third is McDonald's McMuffin sandwichs. Yeah, not crazy over that sauce at Wendy's.

I have to disagree. I like the sauce on my breakfast sandwich. Also I'm not a croissant person but I love their French croissant. And I don't think it tastes like mayo. If it did I wouldn't eat it. That being said I would not like it on a hamburger. Never been disappointed at the Wendy's I go to on Queen st in Southington ct.

My Wendy's breakfast experience: Ordered Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Biscuit meal with breakfast potatoes. One time they were out of biscuits, how about a roll? The next time they had no breakfast potatoes, would I like fries with that? A third time the biscuits were from the day before yesterday. I could barely break through with my teeth they were so stale. Theoretically, Wendy's makes a good breakfast. In my experience, the actual eating is usually a disappontment.

I had a reheated in the microwave, day old sausage, egg, and cheese sauce croissant sandwich this morning and it was still better than anything McDonald’s or Burger King can put together. 😂 Although Burger King still has the superior french toast sticks.

This sauce is very tasty and delicious in the breakfast sandwiches. If you prefer plain sausage and cheese with a dry biscuit, McDonald’s surely isn’t far. Wendy’s is my go to for breakfast now….unless I’m having tacos.

It's not just wendys, Arbys has cheese that looks more like plastic than cheese. Try it and see for yourself. It does not melt right.
