Do you have low porosity? You may need to stand in the shower under the water for like 5 minutes and squeeze the hair to let the water get in. Before I learned to do that my hair was how you described. I have low po hair and had to l learn how to do that to get moisture in. I know you didn’t ask, just trying to help a sista out😊

My son hair has low porosity hair too. His would NEVER look wet. Until I changed what we did during wash day. 1. Rinse with warm water 5min + 2. Shampoo 3. Condition 4. Aztec/ clay wash & rinse 5. Condition again 6. Braid it up. Seriously these steps were a game changer he is 4 and has between APL/ MBL depending on how much we trim.

I love it! It looks good on you and can definitely be worn on a more regular basis. How long did it last?I will be trying this with a Mane Choice gel. A lot of the wet look styles I see use super drying gels like Wetline and Ecostyler that can’t be incorporated for regular use.

Hi Alisha, I'm finally trying this wet look...….I just shampooed and used the same Shea Moisture Detangler…..I have color that is still over halfway grown out, but it seems to play a big part in making it difficult to detangle. But hopefully it will turn out a beautiful success like yours!!!!! Wish me luck....This style looks adorable on you ;) !!!!! Be Blessed~

Love the look, to me your hair is not short it has alot of shrinkage but thats because its curly. I do the wet look with gel and coconut oil. Ive never tied it down so I'm going to try that this month. Also your gel I will look into that as well. I love the eco Olive oil gel. Thanks 💘

This trend is so hilarious to me because in the 80s and 90s we didn't have these natural hair products. We would leave our hair wet and put in a lot of instant conditioner... voila... today's wet-look LOL.
