Because Bert doesn’t like it when he can’t work himself into an interview as an analogy, an example, or with an anecdote. He also goes behind people’s backs a lot, possibly preprogramming Joe. Then again, Bobby isn’t as likeable as many might think, so it might also be the chemistry of two or all three of these options
