I have 600+ hours on this game and i can easily say that this is the best game ever made. And the thing Geralt was fighting was a higher vampire.

The song at the beginning is called lullaby of woe took a year plus for iTunes to finally put it up very cool tune!

She was a vampire and we all know vampires drink blood so geralt drank a black blood potion and let himself get bitten on purpose because that potion makes his blood like acid or poison to the vampire. And yes you can absolutely do that in game. There are so many different ways and strategies you can use, makes you feel like a real witcher.

I never read the book or played the previous two games. There's an on going plot point regarding geralt in this game which you won't be familiar at all with. If your curiosity gets the better of you and u look up the reasons why certain things are the way they are you'll end up with a massive spoiler for how the TV show will likely end. Though if game of thrones has taught us anything the journey is often more interesting than the end anyway

The game story and atmosphere is 100 times better than the Netflix show, CDPR made a masterpiece, this is what made the Witcher so famous.

The trailer is so epic because you watch it again after playing and understand oh he's pre potting up with a potion that turns his blood toxic for the vamp. And he has his metal shard mist bomb that works like talcum power or flower to reveal a enemy that is invisible like a spector or a higher vampire in this case. The fact she becomes cocky for a second after a bite is how the vamps act on the game. And then she becomes crippled and can't turn invisible anymore and is half as strong half as fast. When she bites him it's over and its the same in the game if your prepared for a fight you win.

If you want the full immersion of the game, I recommend doing any and all side missions/question mark things you'll see before continuing in the main story. If something is too hard obviously come back later, but try to do everything. There is an insane amount of things you can miss by playing the main story only or playing just a few side quests. I also should mention that probably about 3/4 of the side quests in this game have branching story lines that are beautiful.

every single detail and second of this game is amazing and it needs to be experienced in FULL, do everything, read everything, explore everything, it's such a unique experience!! I'm a huge fan of all 3 games and think they should be played as a trilogy cause story spans through all 3 of them and story of all 3 games is awesome, but I understand that some people have problems with older games. I hope you enjoy it!!

This was a pre release trailer for the main game and an epilogue of an unfinished "quest" in blood and wine expansion... I Still remember it when i encountered her in the game..

The potion he drank is black blood. That potion makes your blood toxic, and it is used ro fight vampires. When Bruxa (the vampire he fought in the trailer) bites him, she drink some blood from him. However, since geralt drank the blackblood, she lost some of her abilities like the skin resistance to swords. The moondust bomb ( the white sphere geralt threw at her) is a mixture of mostly silver and some liggt explosives to make the silver dust spread. It makes monsters weaker and it is used for invsible monsters since silver makes them weaker.

Everytime I see this trailer I feel sad for Orianna, because in their eyes the Witcher is the monster who hunt them down for coin.... Who is the monster the most humans as in IRL :(

1500 hours in game here. Had it since day 1. Beat new game plus 100 percent. I love just roaming on roach and exploring again. Just so amazing of a game

FYI: The woman is a Bruxa - an especially powerful and dangerous type of Vampire. (Remember in "Rare Creatures" Ep 1:06 Geralt told Yennefer that he'd rather use his child surprise and Bruxa Bait?) They are rated as extremely dangerous, even for Witchers.

Just trying to tell you, she is exist in game, on Blood and Wine Expansion,and her name is Orianna after you play the mission with oriana,i suggest you to watch this trailer again and you will understand why and what are she actually are ;)

The trailer is better than the whole season from the Netflix

This is a trailer for the Blood and Wine expansion. The character Geralt fights is a Bruxa, and you also find out why he specifically sought out a contract against her. She's a rare Bruxa as well. Like many higher vampires they can transform but normally Bruxa don't transform that much. They usually avoid human contact and disguise themselves as nymphs like Rusalkas. This one though was in Touissant and lived life as a woman of some renown before a certain event happens that leaves Geralt more open to accepting the contract even though higher vampires are sentient and normally Witchers avoid such jobs. Incidentally some of the tricks and tools Geralt used were aimed at keeping her from transforming. When they're in their full beast forms Bruxa are capable of flight and telepathic attacks and are among the most dangerous things Geralt had fought.

This bruxae is Orianna in the Blood and Wine expansion. Theres a dialogue in the game that hints Geralt will come for Orianna sometime in the future aka this trailer(if you make right choices)

They had no FUCKIN clue that when they've watched this trailer...this was the ending of the B&W DLC !!! That's CD PROJEKT RED for you !!! That's Wicther for you all !!! Best game ever........a masterpiece !!!

You're in for a ride and hell of an experience I can vouch to that. I have my 300+hrs of playtime and still at the start of Blood and Wine DLC.

My favorite game of the last decade, the story telling is one of the best and I literally fell in love with the characters.(This trailer is for the DLC Blood and Wine, you can do it after the main game and Hearts of stone)

I love how witcher is portraded. He can beat most of human, but in flight with monster he can stood A chance and not like he is some sort of best worrior

“Is that one of the bosses you have to fight?” No just a regular monster in game🥲 The highers are worse😩

A few helpful hints before you jump into this world that will end up consuming your life. 1. The games are not an adaptation of the books. They are kinda like sequels to the books. The first game takes place just after the events of the last book. And I say kinda like sequels because they aren't really canon. 2. The third game takes place atleast a decade after the books, so expect a few characters (one in particular) to look a bit older. 3. EVERY QUEST IS WORTH DOING!!!! Seriously the stories in this game are amazing. So much so that every side quest, every witcher contract, every treasure hunt, is absolutely worth doing. 4. Geralt is a monster hunter, but that doesn't mean every monster needs to be killed. You'll meet a few friendly monsters who don't deserve to die. Kinda like that one that scared Jaskier in the episode with the dragon. Sometimes you'll be given the option to help them or spare them. I take it nearly every time. 5. Your choices really do affect the outcomes in the game. I hope you get one of the good endings. Good luck. P.S. Nilfgaard isn't really that bad imo.

Breaking Bad and Witcher 3 are the two greatest things I've ever been lucky enough to see or play. I don't know how well this will go in streaming though, as the fun of the game is the freedom not alway linear way to play it. Plus, you got family so it's hard to devote the hours you need to get your joy out of this.

I hope you’ve been recommended to watch The Witcher 1 and 2 trailers!! 1 is a great alternate view of Adas curse of the Striga you saw in the show. (Geralt whoops it’s ASS! Bare fisticuffs!) And 2 is just unbelievable EPIC and it gets you questioning who Letho is and what school he Could be from.

When you are going to play the game, at one point, you will hear the line: "If you acknowledge any gods, start praying, now!" At that point, you will know, this game is the best.

Everything about this game is a masterpiece. You can wander into a sidequest and find it's better writing than anything other RPGs have.

You will see that woman (vampire) again in the game....maybe... ;)

It's not just the cut scenes. The whole game's graphics are pretty on point. Don't forget to take in the scenery. The details are amazing

The "invisible biatch" is a bruxa, a subtype of vampire. As all monsters in the game, it exists both as a boss and a normal enemy - it's still one of the most annoying to kill.

Be prepared to spend 7 days worth of hours, I loaded my game back up after the show and my total time was 7 days and 17 hours lol

Save. Save often, and especially before talking to ANYONE. This game has something happening every 15 seconds, no matter what direction you walk in. It's dense and packed with people, missions, monsters, and treasure. Even small fetch quest stuff is engaging, and can come back to bite you much later in the game. And remember, no one is truly good in the world of the Witcher. They may do good things, and have good intentions, but everyone is just human. Enjoy your adventure. It's worth every second.

Word of advice, Witcher 3 will spoil many upcoming plot points in the show, as it takes place way after the books and makes several callbacks to them. I know that won't stop you, and it shouldn't, but do keep that in mind as you go in.

you know whats funny, that trailer for the DLC is actually the epilogue of it.. so its odd but works so well to describe what the game and what its about. and the quality of the cutscenes isn't that level but still a masterpiece of the generation

I advise you to do all the mission as unlike other games, The Witcher side quest have their own stories and sometimes more interesting than main quest. *And I can't wait to see your reaction when you meet Yen and Triss* 😃😃😃

Just a warning. I'm not going to say you shouldn't play Blood and Wine expansion because it's awesome, but there is a huge spoiler in it for the books if you haven't read them. And it involves some characters that have already appeared in season 1 of the Netflix series. Also the spoiler involves the ending of the book series thus far.
