😅 This movie takes place in the 1910s I'd say. No fashion dolls existed then. I remember my great grandmother's creepy doll who was sitting in the glass cabinet. Her hair was white ( while it's dark on old photos ) her facial texture was cracked ( mimicking wrinkles ) and her pupil was silver ( as if she was blind or had a cataract ). Despite that she looked as if she was starring directly into your soul.

@@kactilove5543 I'll always have a special place for this film in my heart. It was baby's first horror movie, outright lie to my parents (kicking off my teenage rebellion), and "adult" movie all in one. I was 15 when I saw it and it completely blindsided me. Excellent period film, excellent ghost film. I particularly liked the sequence where Arthur has to stay at the house and he discovers Jennet's slow descent into madness. I highly recommend this film.
