The version that plays during the Beehive brawl sequence, with (most) of the dialogue and major SFX removed. Ooooo-Maaan!!!! This would have fit snugly between "I Hate This Town" and "Break It Up" on the official score soundtrack...
I don't remember much of a fight in Hot Fuzz's pub scene. I mean, there is the short shootout with it ending in a Straw Dogs homage ala the bear trap, but not a fist fight/pool cue fight like in Shaun of the Dead & The World's End.
Not sound Content but this was actually a proper good fight, it represents how all of them behave, Andy, a raging rugby player with a thin Temper, steve, not the hardest bloke about, but wanted to defend Sam, Peter, the soft one of the group, didn’t want to fight. And Gary, can throw a punch but just wanted to finish the lint, and Oliver, well, he’s a blank in this scene.
oomf oof he’s more of a defensive fighter, he blocks and dodges more than he does attack in this scene, when he was fighting the twins he was on the offensive and he’s pretty good at it.
@@blxxdrxse3157 Yeah that's what I mean, he dodges and blocks until he tires his opponent, in which he uses a single swing to knock them down. Which is very similar to how he argues and talks to people as well.
...and I was beginning to think I was the only one who though the 20 seconds to comply/orchestral score mix was utter genius! Thanks for posting....great job!
You are a legend for posting this. Stellar work removing the SFX! Or Stella work as Gary King would say. Had it on repeat. Might have to edit a video for it using the original Silver Bullet vid and some Robocop 2014 footage...
"Johnson, What should we put in the soundtrack?" "Oh I don't know maybe the cool fucking remix of the 90s hip-hop song mixed with the score?" "NO of course not! We need to think about what they want not about what they don't want!" "Oh idk then how about a 40 sec narration?" "YES! THATS WHAT IM TAKING ABOUT! Now let's go remake star wars for the 7th time"
Awesome track, nice job editing out the dialogue. It is a shame they didn't include this remix on the soundtrack, but they probably didn't as its actually 20 Seconds to Comply (Bomb Squad remix) mixed in with track 2 - The Cross Hand from the score. Also, they might have been issues with that version of the Silver Bullet track.
The Cross Hands only has the strings elements you can hear at 1:49. Other than that it's quite different. I was hopeful that it had the full orchestral element from this track, only without the 20 secs to Comply track. If it did, it would have been easy to just take the Bomb Squad remix and super impose the Cross Hands track. Unfortunately it's not so. It's insane that they omitted the one track from the movie that everybody wants. But I think you're right, there was probably some legal bullshit they couldn't overcome. Too bad.
No it's not. I just listened to it. It's the Bomb Squad remix version, but it doesn't contain what makes this version awesome - the orchestral elements.
ahh I am very sorry then, I thought it was the same thing. Why the hell wouldn't release that with the album. Other than the fact that it was made up in post or something
Yo, is there any way to get the version of Summers Magic used in the movie? In the original scene, when Gary finishes explaining the pub crawl, and starts talking about The Beast, the song slightly changes
