The drunken guy was looking out for him - telling the motorbike guy not to stop anywhere or funny business, and to drop him off where he needed to. hehe he knew the youtuber was running late. :p
@@raheemabdul1066not really, he had already missed his bus who knows if the drunk guy didn’t give the driver the heads up the driver might’ve not dropped him off directly to his destination
No wonder these guys were low key making fun of you when they were trying to explain you couldn't cross to Pakistan, as you litterally just witnessed the border crossing ceremony haha.
Mate I'm so glad RU-vid randomly recommended your channel to me today. Beyond refreshing to see such raw travel footage. Hopefully the algorithm is reaching more people!
They do this border ceremony EVERY DAY? And that many people show up to it every single day? Wow. What the hell lol. I just read the wikipedia article. I'm in awe.
Pakistani side is a lot less packed because of the difference in proportion in both countries population. And most of those people are infact travelers themselves, touring locally in the respective countries
I've been binge watching a plethora of YT videos for years on so many different topics. I have to say, your channel is so entertaining and interesting. Thank you so much! Well done!
This has got to be one of the most interesting videos i've ever watched. Living in America for my entire life, and never traveling out of country, I would have never guessed or expected a massive ceremony on the border between countries to exist. Do I know the reason for it? No. But the sheer rush to get in, chanting, and joy on everyone's faces makes me so happy and has opened my eyes to just how diverse the world is. The culture and traditions seen here were amazing, and I wouldn't have ever known they existed without watching this video.
It's a border closing ceremony. It's a way for us to remember that we are not entirely divided by imperial division. Do come by. It's chaotic. You'll love it.
im neither but i have to say this, the difference between india and pakistan is so massive, its like hell and heaven but pakistan is the heaven, really could see the cleanliness and respect of people as he stepped in to pakistan, holy i should visit that place someday❤
That's what happens when you compare worst of India with best of Pakistan. Rational Pakistanis themselves accept India is way better, Although yes I recognize massive problems India is in, and won't mind Pakistan going ahead but atleast don't lie upfront they're better cause they're not
Really funny to see you try and ask everyone if you can cross into Pakistan while you just watched the border closing ceremony 😂 those guys were so confused, no way to make gora see the light
The fact that you remain so calm throughout everything is awesome haha I'm born and raised in the US but my parents are from Hyderabad so I make visits every now and then and let me tell you I deff feel very out of place and uncomfortable even being indian lmao
As a black guy visiting India once, I told the locals "I'm from America, United States". "Which State" they asked. I replied, "Illinois, Chicago" They said "Ah yes, NEE-gur, bang-bang, CHICAGO!" 😂🤣
In Morocco we sit on the roof at night too. Enjoying tea and watermelon after a long day (maybe smokes) and just chat. Very nice to end your day on the rooftop
The Pakistani people are truly warm-hearted, approachable and the most friendliest race I have ever known. In the previous video I watched about a Turkish blogger who happened to be in Lahore Pakistan, literally every where the guy went, people greeted him with open-arms and extremely hospitable, offering him food and even paying for his meals ❤
Bro who knew Pakistan was so welcoming and friendly…? Big respect to everyone you met there in this video and the other ones in that wonderful country 💚
I'd trust going out at night in Lahore or Istanbul way more than like 85% of cities in US, its unfortunately the Afghan and Kashmir borders were the war happens and leaks into cities with bombings and mischievous stuff. The people are great for the most part.
@@acoolrocket Pakistani Kashmir is very safe- one of the most secure parts of the country that gets the most domestic and foreign tourists- western borders is a different situation currently
I love this channel. Please never stop! Bi-curiously living through your travels has been the highlight of my free time lately. This channel deserves all the subs in the world.
man i love your vids, on my second time watching through all the videos. Was the kick in the ass I needed to book my flight and start backpacking in the fall.
6 USD for a room. For that you used electricity, clean water, someone had to clean the room after you. So, why are you surprised when you see poverty in India. Someone from one of the richest nations in the world knocking the price of a room down from 10 USD. I'm embarrassed.
It's called haggling, if they accepted the offer it means it was an acceptable price. He's not a charity, he's travelling all the way from Ireland to Japan, he has no obligation to pay more for services than what is absolutely needed and when you're travelling in foreign lands, especially places like India, you should always be under the assumption that they are overcharging you compared to locals.
@@tyraster8603anyways, I also believe that prices should be fair for everyone but it's also not like that he will come to Streets by giving an extra dollar to a hotel owner
Im literally binge watching your videos. Love the no Bullsht comments. Just raw, There's a lot of vloggers that always make fake comments just to impress the viewers and I totally hate that sht.
I could never do this by myself, especially somewhere where I didn't speak the language. So I'm glad to experience it vicariously through you. Now to click the subscribe button...
Also we have our culture and language, why should a foreign language be forced on a population? Would you like it if I impose Hindi on your country's population?
@@rahilmalhotra001 aww... we have here a small minded indian trying to spin things. Your colonial master used their language(naturally) as the language of rule & governance. Now that they're long gone & no more in charge, you people are free to choose. But then again you people couldn't agree on a single common language as the "national" language because it will cause a civil war, and moreover find it more convenient to just keep the status quo of continuing on with the colonial master's language. No one is imposing a foreign language on you people any more, so change if you can. But you won't, would cha ?
@@rahilmalhotra001 English js not foreign I am sick and tired of this shit There is literally a "Indian English" in Google keyboards. English is just as national language as Hindi is . "why should we learn a foreign language " is just a coping mechanism for ppl like you, Just an excuse to not actually put the effort in learning or getting better at the language I bet you prolly can't even read Hindi properly. I speak 3 languages My mother tongue Hindi and English And I have no problem with it The more languages you speak the smarter you are anyways
travel vlog I actually enjoy watching. good stuff! bring me smiles just watching the raw confusion you have dealing with the people & language barrier. keep it up man. love from Indonesia. come visit Indonesia sometimes. it's a safe country in general and people are also hospitable but still be wary though, we do have scammers lurking around but not as bad compared to other south east asian countries.
Bro I usually hate vlogs but ur channel is legit af this shit be honest sometimes brutal but when shit goes well for u we also along for the ride pretty cool man keep going!
coming from USA this guy chooses to experience aspects of India that I as a resident Indian all my life would never. I agree for 90% of the indians this is their life but there are surely much easier and convenient ways to travel. I am not complaining, it's your choice to experience and showcase this but I would also recommend that you pay the premium and experience the more convenient side of travelling across India and then document that experience too. It might be a more fulfilling experience even if the views are a bit less
@@gosh9084 which is fine, my point here is he should atleast try all the premium options and get the side of india where the experience of travel and logistics does not ruin the experience for him. It gives a more complete picture.
There is no worry about being left behind by AC buses booked ahead of time. I visited the golden temple in Amritsar and watched the closing ceremony in its border with Pakistan. It was fun.
When you enter the border to Pakistan I feel slightly more peaceful. And not worry about you. When you're in India i feel like I'm watching horror movie.
Best travel blog. Please don’t ever change the style of your footage or what you and how you film and meet people. I’ll be sure to throw you some cash when I have some to spare you got my word brother 👊
Hey Connor, if you're still in Pakistan you should go to the countryside in northern Pakistan. Also, Karachi the largest city of Pakistan. Karachi has beautiful beaches.
you know, every single person in the first 5 minutes was genuinely trying to help you. the 'drunk' guy in the beginning telling the motorcycle rider to take you straight to your destination. when you get there, another person tells the rider to go where the bus is and not waste any time in doing so.. then when you get to the bus stop, another person tells you oh that is your bus right there. it has left and they let you on. show some gratitude man...
Noticed the change & it was a sigh of relief after crossing into Pakistan from the chaotic indian side where everyone seemed trying to just rip him off.
You should have paid that confused tuktuk driver for services rendered. He barely makes any profit after fuel and maintenance expense. For your trip, he actually lost money
@@orlando198200 You should bargain in India, unless you want to be taken advantage of. Bargaining is a sign of strength no matter how much money you have. Tourists must bargain in India.
I crossed the train border between Amritsar and Lahore in 1986. It was insane. Arrived in Pakistan during Ramadan and ate some food in the day hiding behind a billboard with some rule-breaking locals. It was wild.
You are complaining that you paid too much for a hotel room in Amritsar??Dude you only paid 7 dollars for it it’s less than a burger meal in your country😂😂
Point 😂, i aint even indian but i believe this guy is just reaction more than he should. I pay 30 dollars for rides, 20/30 per meal, and more. They just go to these third world countries to feel superior thats all.
