I bought my hp specter about 3 months ago and boy do I have to say I love it. I hardly use anything else for school and relaxing. the audio crisp and premium the display always aweing me when I first log in. also I love the battery life. I use this laptop every day and charger it about once every two days. the keys are amazing the weight is nice the only thing I wish that was different was if the hp logo on the back lite up!

I have an HP Omen and I'm jealous of this thing

Can people stop doing stupid comparisons? THIS LAPTOP IS NOT AIMED AT GAMERS! It is for business people and scientists running all day around the world! They don't need high-end CPU, they don't need dedicated GPUs. They don't need 16 GB or RAM. They need mobility, light-weightness, and snappy workflows, which an i7 will provide, even if it is not the best one out there. They make it shiny and glossy, because they compete against Apple, which is shiny and glossy. They compete against Apple because that is the most used system in the world of Business and Science (on conferences that is). I personally know a professor who had to buy a macbook just for those times he goes to conferences in the States so he wouldn't be so "outside" at the meetings. Otherwise he uses windows. And the price? You need to realize what you pay for! You pay for some next-gen engineering; that is a full blown laptop that is 10 mm thick! And if you don't care, then just wait half a year until it comes down in price. New tech is always over priced. Deal with it! I've got an HP Pavilion G6 core-i5, I've been using it for 5 years now; still sharp and works great. I absolutely love it; I keep having a problem with the fan though it's very loud, I got a brand new one and still it's loud and battery problems. plus it's very heavy, I'm a university student and I kind of need a laptop for classes, any suggestions on something light, good for students, good memory, long battery life, quiet and no less than core-i5. most importantly an HP windows 7.
