I would have easily réalisés that Sonario and Mario 16 were fake. Nio way Mario plays like a botched version of Sonic slower than my grandma's computer or there waa no way there actualy were 15 previous entrées of SMB. Almost everybody who isn't an alien knows SMB and SMB3 are. Hell even a girl I know that doesn't play vidéo games at all after pac man knows what SM64. Super Mario is so d'amour that people who don't play the games know about the most popular entrées.
The Dendy was a popular console back then and for some time Steepler (the company that distributed the Dendy) was also Sega's official distributor in Russia for some time, and even after their contract expired they just switched to bootleg Sega products instead.
In Russia perhaps if they couldn't get a Famicom. It would have been more popular if it could play NES cartridges. But anybody who had the choice hetween this crap or a Famicon/NES would obviously pick the NES, the NES wasn't expansive to begin with ane the NES is just a more fun expérience.
Here's a weird New York state law: Throwing a ball at someone's head for fun is illegal. The original law was apparently meant to protect carnies, and also included provisions such as "no throwing knives at people" and "no forcing someone to dance or ride a bike for eight hours straight." "the aim of this game is to beat it till the end" So like...every other video game, Sergei? He a little confused but he got the spirit. The last thing Sergei did before he died was Last Hero, the Russian version of Survivor...quite ironic considering what happened to him. Died way too young.

What do you mean by 'carnies' and why did people throw balls at their heads for fun?
@ Carnies means carnival workers. And I assume stuff like those 'throw a ball to the target to dunk them' games, or generally people throwing the balls from booths at the workers I'd guess. Basically meaning it was a serious thing to actually attack them even with a ball if you missed or got angry
Fun fact - big N basically made this sh.t legal. When they noticed that there is a new market for their consoles (and it was already saturated by shady Taiwanese NES clones) they begrudgingly partnered with Steepler to officially sell their SNES in Russia. So we had lefit SNES consoles and NES clones. On the same shelves. Fun times.
But snes wasn't popular because unlike Sega it hadn't pirate cartridges. It had only legit. So Nintendo became a bit normal at Wii and Ds era and popular at Switch. But many Russians hate them because for them Nintendo appeared out of nowhere
@@newnintendoboyxxkid7057 nintenda never got popular with 5% market share of non pc they fight for scraps and with how everyone who even heard that name only knows them for harassing and attacking emulation and rom sites
Sergei: Vodka bad All of Eastern Europe: *And I took that personally* In the DPRK, taxes have been abolished since 1974. Tax Abolition Day is an observed holiday. In the DPRK, it is stated in the constitution that the people have the right to free, universal education. In the DPRK, healthcare and housing are also free. We are portrayed in the media as bad, but at least we don't have the weird laws that places in the US do.
Fun fact Poland before 2000 also had their own clone of NES which was called Pegasus and is now the name pegasus is associates with cheap NES console clones with 9999 in 1 game cartridge.
He doesn't branch out enough. It's nothing but bootleg after bootleg video lol. I enjoy them myself. Just giving a reason why maybe he doesn't have more.
2:47 Russian guy here You have mistaken my guy. The Dendy consoles are still common to find in local stores Oh and saying "Chinese" here means "Bootleg" becauss most bootlegs mostly come from China
They also had a cheat code book that was supposedly "tested by professionals" that had cheat codes for totally made up games like "Ninja Gaiden 4", games that weren't even on the Dendy and were on the SNES or Mega Drive (Batman Forever for example), and cheats for things that were impossible to do and would end up doing nothing but wasting your time (playing as Splinter in TMNT 2 for example).
The law about not having ice cream in your pocket made sense back when it was written. It was to help stop horse thieves. It doesn't make much sense now because we no longer use horses as a primary form of transportation. Those pirate consoles and games weren't illegal in Russia back then.
Everything about this video is amazing lmao. This man is reviewing/insulting a show that reviewed bootleg games for a bootleg console, with a host that is kind of a jerk, all the while talking more smack than I have ever heard on this channel. God bless!
The paradox of the cartridges for this console was that you couldn't trust the illustrations because you think you're buying Mario and in practice you're getting some kind of snake game or something like that
The charms of illegal media, but then people thought it was original, those were the times when cracks were something normal and no one even knew it was crack
In general, touching on the subject of Dendy magazines. In the beginning "Video Ace Dendy" started pretty well, until the firm Dendy and its advertising department took under their wing after which the former team was dissatisfied to say the least and left, founding their magazine under the name "Great Dragon" (Великий Дракон), and the former was renamed after this program "Dendy New Reality", and also renewed the editors. "New Reality" died in 1996, at which time the "Great Dragon" lived on until 2003. Привет
I live in Georgia and it is not required in all of Georgia that you own a rake..just one city Acworth. See in 1982 the nearby city of Kennesaw, Ga passed a law declaring all citizens had to own a gun. In Acworth the rake law was passed in jest, to point out the absurdity of Kennesaw's gun law. The law in Acworth that says all of their citizens must own rakes is still on the books as far as I'm aware, but it is not enforced nor ever was.
and this show was paid by chinese overlords, every time he says something "nintendo" an unknown unpopular brand, compared to dendy brand, nintendo themselves give money to chinise pirates for advertisement on their show and for distribution in their rick and morty stores nintendo refused to sell their stuff when they had a chance so they gifted the entire CIS market to pirates
Sadly in my dads childhood it was those soviet russian times and he was playing it he thought it was original the whole time. In this day he still thinks that the dendy is tottaly original💀
My mom was a Ukranian. When her dad bought Dendy to her she was like "What is this?" and now, when we live in Ukraine still, I like nintendo and my mom now knows that her console was bootleg and she is kinda sad abt that.
That's just how the captions read for the translation. I bet in the Russian language he sounds just fine. When they translated it, n they did so as straight forward as possible just to be safe.
and the humor is funnier since there are no "offensive" topic. as long as there are no teats or swearing it's all for kids translating it directly would offend people kids who think of the children
Love your content man haven’t watched in a far min. But tho tbh out of all the respect I can give cause I been there bro you gained some weight 😭 or I’m tripping idk
no first you save for a year, then you stay in line the only free shit is that you steal from your workplace. that's why all store workers always were so incredibly fat in a starving country
In downtown Atlanta Georgia it is illegal to tie a giraffe to a light post. I assume this was a law made of some sort of joke because I can't imagine you're asking tied to light post was ever that much of a problem in downtown Atlanta 😂
@BK Beatty usually so but I can't imagine how big an issue Atlanta had with giraffes being tied to light posts. I grew up in Atlanta and while it can be a wild place I've never seen a giraffe outside if the zoo & maybe once at the circus.
Dendy is also the name of Russia’s equivalent of Ganesh. Which is who’s on the ad/logo, yep! Russia had its own pantheon of deities that were their equivalents of Hindu Gods.
Man, this TV show was such a mess. Half an hour long ad for games, that none of ppl making this show knew anything) Plus some of the games were (obviously now) bootleg roms with sprite swaps. Ah, I kinda miss those simpler times)
First off the sugar is in the tea we have a ton of Waffle houses! In Atlanta there are at least 37 with an additional 16 in Marietta (which is considered by many to be greater metro Atlanta) In the town I live in in south Georgia we have 3 and only have a population of 33,399 people 😂
1:37 in Poland back in the day there was something similar but I forget the name I didn't grow up in the 90s or other years or something similar because I born only in 2009
The most insane thing that this bootleg console was legal in this region. You see, for the sale of something you need some papers that says "this is product is mine and i kick your ass if you stole it". Japan and USA dont have any plans to sell it in ussr, and when the empire was dead this papers for this region was completed by russian company. Few years after on the shelf of same shop were lying bootleg Dandy, and official Snes and Game boy😊 But if Nes was legal from the start, it never be so popular in Russia. Because price was to high for average family.
