I love how Gary always tries to stay positive in horrible restaurants right up until the moment when it’s no longer possible.

The terrible reviews are as good to watch as the good ones. It’s important the good reviews are honest and sometimes the food really sucks

These buffets usually increase the range in the evenings, but what worries me is that at opening time the food was cold! Are they taking the prepared dishes out of the chillers and relying on the heated serving pans to slowly bring them to temperature - a recipe for food poisoning soup?

The squid is a contender for the Michelin rubber tyre award.

these jack of all trades restaurants with multiple kitchens always end up disappointing, better focus on less but absolutely nail the dishes.

Hi Gary, the food reminded me of some cheap all-inclusive holidays I went on when my children were young. The reality is that it's not safe to serve food that's not been reheated properly. I'm fairly sure that you were eating the previous day's leftovers. As someone else already commented, these multi-ethnic restaurants rarely serve good food - in my opinion at least

When I first watched Gary, first impressions were “just another food reviewer” But his calm and humble manner is alluring. Now he’s become my favourite person to watch, Plus he’s actually a good food critique compared to a lot of these other channels. And as always “Let’s give it a go!”

Made my experience with hospital food worth a second look!

This was so funny to watch, you still try to be positive when the food is just disgusting. That was a very expensive naan and a few small desserts but everyone now knows to avoid that place at all costs and not waste your money. Great review Gary, hope you went and got yourself and the camera man something decent after ! 😊

There is simply no excuse for selling food that is not only awful, but hot food that isn't hot. Even looking at it, I had a feeling it was going to be poor. We had a whole world buffet place in Coventry called Taybarnes. Food was about the same as you described here. Absolutely awful. Thanks for another excellent video, Gary and admiration for how calm you appeared in the face of adversity!

Im a professional restaurant assessor and have enjoyed watching the channel from day one. I can see that Gary's standards have risen since the early reviews and it resonates massively. Your standards are formed by experiences, and you compare anything you eat with the very best that you've had of that same food type, sometimes consciously, but often not. It would be interesting to see what Gary thinks of the places he visited at the start of the channel, and if he gives them the same scores after visiting a lot of places in a small timescale, including a few casual starred places.
