Today, we're talking about the worst DLC bosses from each of the souls games by FromSoftware. This includes Dark Souls 1, Dark Souls 2, Dark Souls 3, and Bloodborne, but doesn't including Demon's Souls, Sekiro, or Elden Ring. Fingers crossed for an official Elden Ring DLC soon! I wanted to list the worst DLC boss from each game and why I thought that about them because they all have unique combat styles and other mechanics that set them apart from each other.

sanctuary guardian has a secret boss fight where you fight 2 off them in the same area of the original, i dont know what exactly you have to do to unlock it but i just assume its beating the other dlc bosses but its kinda cool, i think its a new game plus only im not sure

The run back in frigid outskirts was so awful, that it was faster for me to upload a playstation cloud save of my file before the fog wall, and should I lose, I'd re-download my uploaded save file to avoid the nonsense of that run. I recommend everyone who can to do so. You'll thank me later.

New Ember videos make me want to join sports in my school and start out not really that good at them and even rupture my spleen from the ball one time but keep working at it harder and harder until I become one of my team’s MVPs and even win one of my school’s championships so I can come back to my PC with my super fast hand reflexes I gained from being good at sports so I can click the notification I get for Ember’s new video faster

The sanctuary guardian is basically a manticore and a venom / poison tail is part of that whole deal. If you get poisoned you're best boning out. But the point is really to not get poisoned. Santuary guardian is a good fight, but competition is high in that DLC

I remember my first fight with Halflight like it was yesterday. I was cooping with a friend of mine who was eager to see me handle the DLC so he kinda held back. Reaching Halflight he wished me luck and waited outside the fog wall while my opponent was summon. Thing is, that player was afk at the time, so I butchered him like it was nothing, while the painting guardian was the biggest threat around. My friend was disappointed, his day ruined, and I confused like few times before.

I may be weird but living failures was harder for me than Maria and Ludwig. On my first playthrough Maria took me about 15 tries, Ludwig 3 and living failures more than 20 times

My only real gripe about Sanctuary Guardian is that it felt out of place compared to the others. Almost like From had an extra boss from DS1 lying around and just wanted to use it. The other three all fit the theme of the DLC and tie into the lore.

What bothers me about the Gravetender fight is that it feels like a huge wasted potential. We could have gotten a glimpse at what it might have looked like when Artorias and Sif fought side by side, instead we got possibly the most forgettable boss in the series.

I finally fought the smelter demon and the gank squad yesterday for the first time yesterday and mann did it make me want to quit dark souls 2. But i persevered. I actually had to use a soul vessel for the first time to change to an entirely different build to beat the smelter demon and it still took me over 10 tries. The gank squad was soo annoying i had to summon, but by the 20th try i was able to take them on my own. Fought fume knight and sir alonne after this for the first time as well and after feeling burnt out from the previous bosses, i felt better knowing it was just those bosses that were bad.

I'll admit that the Living Failures was horrible for me. I've handled multiple enemies fine in Bloodborne before. Killed the Shadow of Yharnam on my first attempt, but something about the Living Failures was like a wall. I actually bothered to swap runes so I could summon in Yamamura to help draw aggro. I used the same trick with Damian when dealing with Rom and all her smaller spiders. Turns out I handle multiple enemies in a boss fight less well than I used to.

Champion's Gravetender is not the champion. They are the gravetender of the champion, the 's makes it a possessive noun, it's like saying "David's mechanic", we're talking about the mechanic, not David. In the same way, the title "Champion's Gravetender" is saying that this is the gravetender of the champion, implying that this boss fight is taking place at the grave of the champion, and that the boss is the gravetender. I've never played DS2 tho I don't actually know if that's the case, but just that the grammar implies that

Ds2 boss runups are very easy to avoid(other than sir alon) all you need to do is run up to the boss fog once (preferably with full estus, for that you can use regen) quit the game before entering the fight itself and upload your save file, boom no wasted human effigies, and the boss run-up is reduced to a couple of loading screens, the length of which depend on your download speed.

Good list! Here's mine: 01. Dark Souls - Manus, Father Of The Abyss: There isn't a bad choice in the lot of DS dlc bosses, but Manus is my least favorite and I think he's a bit overrated. While he is a technical challenge and uber aggressive, aesthetically he's just a bigger version of countless enemies you've slaughtered on your way here. 02. Dark Souls 2 - Gank Squad: I am not a fan of npc opponents being turned into a boss, let alone three of them at once! I'll take reskinned Smelter Demon any day or even the unholy attempt at a duo boss that is Lud and Zallen! 03. Bloodborne - Living Failures: Not a bad boss, but considering the competition and the fact that it is yet another gank squad, it's the only choice. 04. Dark Souls 3 - Halflight, Spear Of The Church: Another npc boss! Considering I don't do pvp, this is just another generic enemy that is easy to put down, but features extra enemies to gank it up just enough to be annoying! Not difficult...but annoying!

Huh, so blue smelter IS different from the red one. I always payed just enough attention to both to notice something is off, but never to actually compare them side by side. And why I always try to skip past the red one as fast as I can, I find the blue one surprisingly fun. Could've even called it a great fight if not for obvious reuse and a terrible runback.

The blue one is - imho - WAY harder then the red one...Also his magic Attack (yeah its not fire damage anymore) is literally melting your HP away in phase 2. The difference in difficulty is pretty huge I would say.

I won't argue with the choice, but I wish people could have learned how to get through Frigid Outskirts more easily. It's really not that complex. You run as far as you can between each safe point. You will have to fight a reindeer during 3 of the runs, but if you have already learned to GIT GUD, it's one enemy. You should be able to kill it. Then you just haul ass to the safe point and you should make it before having to fight another one. 3 tough enemies and a few minutes of running. That's all it is.

Totally disagree with the Living Failures being the worst bosses in Bloodborne's DLC. For me the worst is definitely Laurence. Laurence fight is just so annoying and unfair and his design is just a fire Cleric Beast, probably the only Bloodborne boss I don't like (excluding some of the Chalice bosses).
