Imagine being a Logan Paul fan after he's been proven SO many times to be an absolute POS with legs Johnny Somali got off way too easy btw, but he'll do it again and karma will do its thing eventually
I honestly don’t know about any influencers, I only use my social media for groups about things I like and for looking at memes. I’m quite content living under my rock
i’ve heavily restricted how social figures can reach me in their pull (don’t use platforms that push these people and don’t let algorithms recommend them) - every time i hear about people like these, i lose brain cells
It’s a good idea. I employed a similiar tactic. Out of curiosity, which platforms did you put on this list? For me it’s; • Facebook • TikTok • Instagram • Twitter
My favorite thing about George Santos, is when he was called out for lieing about being a Jew his defense was "I said I was Jew-ish, not Jewish." Paraphrasing but the jist of his counter.
The most impressive thing is that he has absolutely no shame even after all his lies and deceit went public. Not an ounce of regret, shame, or even embarrassment.
@@bradblumhof6917that's what I've been noticing lately ... it's not ignorance or lack of information, it's an inability to feel shame. God, it must be nice to live a reality in which you're NEVER wrong
If you can't pay rent or a medical bill, you're in trouble. If you misinform, scam or otherwise hurt people, you become a millionaire. What a great world we're living in.
If you cant pay for commodities provided to you by society, that are considered incredible luxury in the third world, you are in trouble. If you are able to start a successful business or invest into a lucky stock, you become a millionaire. You are right, we do live in a great world full of choices.
@@HeyyyitsLissy Income tax rates go up the more you make. My federal income tax rate is 12%. Rich people ($578,000+) pay 37%. They pay more in taxes. Without them the system would collapse. You sure can't pave a road or build a school with what they get from me.
For me, the deeper and more disturbing aspect of this, is the hunger and craving for this negative hyperbole. Something is horribly wrong with a society that it would want, and even encourage, something like this in their lives. Even to the point of being 'influenced' by it. Sometimes I think that the advent of social media has exposed a disturbing flaw in a majority of the human race, triggered, manipulated and led by an extrovert and vocal few.
If you go back in time, this stuff started with shows like Donahue to shock, but they would try to set people straight at the end. Then came Jerry Springer where people were just wallowing in the negativity and conflict- no happy endings needed. Then there are staged 'group shows' where the point is people arguing and fighting- just noise, pointlessness and chaos. Shows where the rich endlessly flaunt their wealth and encourage envy. I could go on and on but in my view, all this has conditioned people to literally seek out and invite negativity into their lives, like being quietly happy is somehow boring and 'wrong'.
Is called 'othering' ...and until people stop shit like that u will never have honest debate and resolution. Trump or Pearl is not 100% bad. If you(reader) disagree, you are part of the problem.
@mbarker_lng sadly, your last sentence is extremely accurate where being "quietly happy" is now seen as boring rather than something to aspire to. You'd be surprised how many decent marriages end these days simply because their partner (typically the husband) is "boring" despite being a good parent, spouse, etc. that does everything they should that would historically be considered ideal. Most of these people come to regret it as time passes, but modern culture has convinced them that stability and responsibility is less important than excitement and chaos bc it's all we see in media (especially social media).
People crave something to hate and rally to it. Religion and race difference were the previous primary sources. Social media made a better outlet for more and plentiful things to hate.
It's the selection process. They get power by the amount of people that follow them. And the best way to get people to follow you is to abuse the system. In this case, to lie, manipulate and skirt the borders of legality without regard for morality.
For many of them, the majority of the audience is childrens. And i remember being kid. Not gona lie. If i was 10 i would probably follow some of them. Back in the day we just watched stuff like CKY or Jackass
You got it backwards. Influencers have a selection process, and the ones who rise to the top are the ones that manipulate people into giving them attention. Furthermore, you can't solve a societal problem like this by "educating everyone", but you can prosecute the people explicitly manipulating people for profits. You know, otherwise you're as good as the people defending gambling platforms abusing people with a gambling addiction.
@@ekki1993 I agree with you that if people did not render services, they should be sued into oblivion. But otherwise I have to disagree, people learning how to avoid scams is necessary or another influencer will just take the place of the previous ones.
@@SnackCakes It's necessary but it's not a solution by any means. There will always be a bottom line for scammers and influencers no matter how much you try to educate everyone.
Absolute weakling for doing it in such a peaceful, placid country. I hope he tries that shit in Australia. We have a bit of a saying.. "some people act like they've never been punched in the face for something they've said".. that's youth today.
I'm not exactly following what the 'Grift' that Pearl Davis has. Beyond traffic, she's not really stealing content or hocking products to the side any different than pretty much any 'influencer' today. There are a lot of people that disagree with her, but if her content being unliked makes her a grifter, why arent we also calling out people across other political spectrum for the same behavior? Why is Davis a Grifter but Hassan Piker or Ethan Klein or Destiny are not?
You are so insightful Kira. As a past middle-aged person, I feel good that my optimism for youngsters has never been misplaced. I reckon you don't think of yourself as a "youngster", but you kind of are. Thank you for making blisteringly funny and clever content. I even watch your game channel, even though I am in no way a gamer, because your commentary is so good. Please keep making videos!
I hate the fact that anyone can say "I'm an influencer" as if that's automatically a fact, and people take it as "oh, ok - they must know what they are talking about."
It's a calculated risk, at worst. This issue and these people are not important enough for me to put much of my own time into deep dive research. If Kira we're 100% wrong, it would not affect me in the slightest. That said, I knew about both Somali and Paul before this, and his estimation of them sounds correct to me. I have also watched plenty of his other coverage on different matters and found it to be fair enough, even if I don't completely agree with every thought he has. Finally, knowing what it takes to get to the position these folks have in a general sense (quite typically involves unethical behavior), and combining that with the above gives me confidence that his characterization of those who I don't know is probably pretty accurate. As I stated elsewhere, I'm willing to bet that any further research would do little to prove any point provided herein terribly incorrect.
Piers Morgan also wrote lies about British soldiers committing war crimes in Iraq, in the British paper which angered terrorists there leading to many soldiers deaths. What did he get from this? A talk show...
I'm convinced Pearl doesn't actually believe anything she says, she just saw an opportunity for a female version of tate as viewers wouldn't be as shunned if a female is saying these things. It's a simple cash grab.
I think she suffers from a positive feedback cycle and it's been going on for so long she had become a extreme version of herself I honestly blame youtube, officer tatum and conservative black perspective also went through the same thing they used to give interesting comment and now are just insufferable and pandering in my opinion
Yes & No. Giving my two cents: I find learning about Pearl both interesting, and depressing, because she doesn’t seem to come from the same background many anti-feminist or grifters come from (socially speaking). That, and from the glimpse we get to see in her personal life and the folks surrounding her, she seems to be an outlier in her beliefs, versus the rule- most of the folks surrounding her, including her love ones, don’t really seem to believe in this stuff. But she, to some capacity, even if limited, seems to legitimately believe in it. Or looking at it another way, if the folks surrounding her are conservative, then she’s the type of conservative who puts down other conservatives for not being on her level, or not having the same views on those who are different.
100% agree - you don't have to dig too deep to find evidence she is likely a grifter who not so long ago held beliefs she now bashes other women for having, for clout. Any debate or conversation I've seen with her, she is loud and condescending, which is how people debate when they have no idea what they're talking about.
What is Piers Mrogan doing on this list? Dude is about as harmless as it gets. Most of his content is literally just showcasing what other people say or interviewing anyone who's willing to be on the show. The only way what he's doing could be seen as bad is if you have unhealthy political biases.
I wouldn’t consider Piers Morgan an “influencer”. While he will exhibit some level of influence he’s just a presenter, journalist and all round crappy human being. Funny how “journalist” and “crappy human being” are becoming more and more synonymous year after year.
When pearl first started to gain attention I kind of agreed with some her EARLY points. It used to be "men suffer too" and then it turned into "women suck". I think she got carried away with the attention which was sad to see because there aren't many advocates for Mens mental health.
That's the issue with the entire red-pill movement tbh (and Kira touched on it in his video on it): They say some true things and the talk about real issues (Men need more self-assuredness, men's issues are often overlooked or trivialized, success is self-made, etc) and they do it just enough to where you could watch a 10 minute compilation of Andrew Tate saying true, smart things, but they always bundle it up with a bunch of unnecessary bullshit. They found out the cheat code is say just enough obviously true things to turn off the "This guy's full of shit" alarm most people have.
It’s seems most of the ‘female influencers’ that promote men’s rights are also only fans girls. Just catering to their audience to promote their bodies.
@JonahTV yep. The ironic thing is that the red pill community is as counter productive as the feminists I encountered. They all had good points in the beginning but then they take it to the extreme and you just get turned off by it.
Yeah, she went off into left field...... women shouldn't vote though. And no fault divorce should be abolished. Not a complete ban on divorce, but you shouldn't be able to destroy a family on a whim, nor should you be able to steal from your spouse.
Pearl Davis is hilarious because of how much of a duff she is for everybody in her circles. She has no thoughts of her own and only parrots what is said around her.
Grifter really is the perfect word for her bc she says things solely to get more views. Unfortunately, there are plenty of grifters like her on every social and political side.
I will never feel sorry for the people Logan Paul scammed. "Video game that earns you money, I swear, you just have to pay me 1thousand dollars first" is the most braindead textbook scam I've ever seen, and the fact people bought into it is just genuinely pathetic.
Kira, any chance we might get an update/Where are they now type video of some of your greatest hits for the New Year? Like Earth 2/Arya with the Tiny Desk? Or Dreamworld? Even one video with all of them together would be great!
Not going to lie, it just seems like you put some people on this list because you disagree with them politically or with their opinions. Jirard the charity scammer should’ve definitely been featured over someone who criticises modern feminism.
huh? I don't think that person was simply criticizing modern feminism. they instead seemed to be parroting misogynistic talking points - including anti-feminism - in order to gain clout _and profit from it._ I think they don't really believe what they say. And everyone else was actually bad. I don't know why you would seem to think KiraTV would simply "disagree" with Johnny Somali, Logan Paul, or Piers Morgan. That George Santos guy was comically corrupt regardless of their political stance. Piers Morgan doesn't have a real opinion; if a guest happens to answer in an unexpectedly positive way, he would only let them talk for like 2/3 of the way and then cut them off and repeat the question to frustrate them, and then do it all over again. He would then conclude regardless of anything that was said that could have been redeeming, because it's been decided that the guest is a bad person. It's all meant for ratings. Jirard was bad, but not as bad as say, Logan Paul. Because Jirard says that they did donate the money (which would show up in the publicly available filing later on). He's pretty scummy for threatening to sue just because he was called out, but I mean, that's still not Johnny Somali level of obnoxious.
@@Kensuke0987 You can't be misogynistic if you are a female. As for anti-feminism... most women in this world are not feminists, I hate to break your bubble. Even in the West. So what if she gains clout and profit from it? Want to know how this can be stopped? By telling left-wing snowflakes to stop being offended and ignore it. Because these people exist, and they make a fuss all about her thoughts and opinions, she gains notoriety. George Santos is no more corrupt than Hunter Biden. But he is not the son of the current POTUS. That is why one is getting a pass and the other is getting a beating.
They're grifters. Pearl is a straight unashamed grifter. So is Logan Paul. They deserve all of the ridicule they get. Pearl is particularly obvious because when you get down in to what she says it's one extreme to the other and a bit of an incoherent mess
George Santos isn't an influencer. I wouldn't even class Piers Morgan as one, he just hosts a debate show and covers topics and personalities like any other journalist. Illuminaughtii not making this list is absurd.
I almost wrote comment about Illuminaughtii and James Somerton. But then realized that those 2 only have few million followers (or rather... HAD) and while them stealing from others is bad... all the 5 people here have way worse influence around them. Somali actually harrasing people irl AND his videos pretty much spur clones that are doing the same thing now. And the 5 other people have bigger social media following and/or they have way more money involved. I'd argue that Morgan and Santos have more influence to world around them than most youtubers no matter the view/subscriber counts. Are you seriously saying that politician doesn't have any influence? Also while tv is less watched than internet streams there still are millions of eyes on those tv shows - Morgans influence isn't as direct and easy to see because he isn't selling you a product like sponsored tiktok influencers are. But if you read any book about tv and propaganda you'd realize that tv does also have influence on people. If you are in denial or need proof look for any video about Edward Bernays (the guy who is the sole reason why people now eat bacon and eggs for breakfast.... let me rephrase it... a single man had enough influence to trick a whole nation into changing their breakfast habits. Dude was also behind making smoking attractive for women). Yes both of them are horrible people and did more things wrong not just plagiarized majority of their scripts for videos - but the influence these 2 have is actually relatively pretty small. Like maybe Somali could had been swapped with one of these 2 but again: these 2 kinda stay in their own corner while Somali had influence in creating more badly behaving copycats around him. I don't see people trying to copy illuuminaughtii thus i am not that surprised that she wasn't on this list.
Santos has been a social media influencer for a while now. If you want you can even buy a cameo 😂 You calling Piers Morgan a normal journalist is disgusting. This showcases how far journalism as whole has degraded for you to think that. Journalism IS NOT monetization of human suffering.
Being an influencer isn't limited to how many people copy what they're doing, and stealing content is probably the tamest thing illuminaughtii is accused of doing. Johnny Somali had a tiny following and he was hardly the first person to annoy people in public for views. There are far more popular/influential pranksters and "first amendment auditors" than him. Somali was IP2-tier in terms of relevance. You also contradicted yourself by defending Santos' appearance on the list. Who copies him? He's one of hundreds of congresspeople and he only made the news for lying. Your standard for who is an influencer is either wrong or you're selectively applying it just to justify who Kira picked. Illuminaughtii had hundreds of thousands of views on daily videos. How many people watched a George Santos speech - total throughout his life? A hundred thousand tops? It's silly to argue he was influential at all. I'm not arguing that Piers isn't influential, I'm saying he isn't a negative influence. Controversial people and subjects should be discussed in the open. I don't know who Kira thinks was harmed by watching Piers Morgan debates. Maybe it's a U.K. attitude where they are stricter on what is allowed to be said. @@samamies88
Believe or not, things had been, can be, and in some places, will continue to be, worse than it is now. With that said, things can also always become better with time depending on the approach taken.
They always existed, it’s just much easier to have a platform nowadays. These people were the “town coot” a few decades ago, the internet just provided them with a way to find other crazy people.
Some like Paul and Somali I agree fully. For others like Morgan showing some (more?) clips of him actually acting as you describe would help tbh. You're one of the best creators on here so hope it doesn't come off like I'm shitting on you or anything
honestly Somali should check out other Asian countries like Vietnam or Thailand, wonder what they gonna do with him...him being a nuisance in a country that doesnt have as many eyes on it as Japan....

the scariest part is when you start to see the effect of these psychotic grifters on the people around you, whether someone who you care about has gone down a dark and hateful rabbithole or one of your best friends has been hurt by someone using hateful and disgusting philosophies from these people as a justification for their horrible behavior, the brainrot of the 2020s is fucking sick.

I used to believe what he said, but now it seems every conspiracy theories is fair game, from 5G to deep state, stolen elections, Russia, vaccines, WEF, replacement theory, everything. That Johnny Somali one really pissed me off. Being from the UK and Having visited Japan the people were very polite and respectful, this would really damage their view of foreigners
That is a great shout. Kira's own words: "Where talentless and tasteless individuals are given major platforms to spread their gospel of glorified garbage." but somehow Piker doesn't count? He's been at it for years.
With regards to Pearl, at least she is living her own argument true. She argues that we are inferior to men and have no original thoughts, and she has no original thoughts and purely seek external validation from men who don't have our best interests in mind. I still wonder what her underlying reason to be so cruel to other women is. Did her mother hurt her or something?
It’s just someone exploiting the incel community. They truly are pathetic. They make me sad. They just need a makeover and some excercize, but they’re between 15 and 24 and they’ve already devoted themselves to a life of loneliness.
She doesn't argue the women are inferior to men just that there are things that men are better at and thay we are not equal so shouldn't be treated as such
Pearl is my favorite because she parrots things but when anyone (Ethan Klien comes to mind) asks her to elaborate or prove something, she gets flustered.. She's used to people jsut agreeing or reaacting to what she's saying because she doesn't fully understand it
If she did it for fame and money shes definitely smarter then she comes across... There's similar woman like her, its dangerous because its not all garbage, they speak to you, if i werent hyper aware i wouldve been influenced by them... Imagine if your a guy being brainwashed by red pill content 🤢

Not seeing why Piers Morgan is on this and how he's somehow bigger asshole influencer than either of the Paul brothers or plenty of other youtube "supplement" peddlers out there. What political news/talk show isn't making money out of covering controversial stuff? From what I've seen of the guy he's actually willing to bring on more radical elements and challenge their views and that helps brings more awareness on what subjects he covers. He's not out there actively harassing or harming people.
I mean pretty decent factual, evidences come out in 2023 proving that he had engaged in extensive phone hacking over the last few decades to get what he got. Now he’s moved onto platforming some of the most disgusting people in the world, including some people on this list.

Interesting facts about pearl davis: Her mother is a giant woman boss, she is the exact woman Pearl talk against, except she never addresses it. Check out her subscriber vs engagement ratio, she has so many subscribers and followers, but barely any engagement compared to those numbers... interesting, isn't it?
Pearly Things is controversial, but at least she cites studies to defend her answers. About the 16 year old comment. How creepy it is depends on your location. Especially if the country's age of consent is 16. Plus, there is truth to it. Younger women are more attractive due to youth. You start true aging around 16. A trade secret that i know, is that certain cosmetic industries put 12 year olds as their models in magazines and billboards. Make up and photoshop just makes them look more mature. Im not advocating for anyone to date 16 year olds. But she's entitled to free speech, and she defended herself well in that Vice panel along with Sydney Watson, in fact, it was so counter to what Vice wanted that they disabled to comments, when i can back to it. Im trying to objective about her, but people just see the bad things about what she says, basically the devil effect. But Pearl has her arguments about why she isn't feminist. That doesnt make her a vile person, I don't understand why those Pro-feminists who hate her just don't debate her.
Is it weird that I'm more disgusted by the youtubers than I am about Santos? After all, New York and other north eastern states are pretty infamous for corruption and crime, whereas the youtubers are just normal people who have not a single shred of self respect.
Pierce Morgan is a fake conservative. He often has the most ridiculous takes on new topics. Always a sign that his "views" are not based on any coherent set of principles.
$1400 fine and possible deportation for yelling obscenities at random strangers? Sounds fair to me. I mean I'm not advocating for the guy but are you seriously implying he should have faced serious jail time for the crime of acting like a d-bag? You're really overselling it.
I really wish Johnny Somali would stop what he’s doing. He’s making black people look horrible in a country where too many locals carry negative exclusionary views on other races.
You put the right person front and center. Edit: in the thumbnail anyway. I think Piers Morgans are a dime-a-dozen in the various media outlets. I think Logan Paul sticks out as the biggest PoS of the lot.
@@mufasafalldown8401 that's a good first step. Best thing about Piers is that he very anti mainstream media, anti woke bs, he very much goes against the grain. I dont agree with everything he says but at least he opens up topics to debates.
Pearl Davis looks to exploit controversy. The more responses the more money from sponsors. It’s rather brilliant idea if your not concerned about losing your integrity. Pearl doesn’t have to believe the things she says. Not when your just looking to sell it. It’s only for the money. It would be funny if it wasn’t so sad that so many think she believes in what she says. Gullible people. She is making money off of them. Crazy world.😊
Piers Morgan could have won this award every year for the last 20. Its amazing that all those people's phones got hacked but the editor of the paper was "totally in the dark" about the fact his gossip journos kept turning up with highly personal stories about celebrities with no sources at all. He earned millions for that complete oversight.
In the beginning, Pearl was so mild. I liked some of the things she said. After a certain point it was.... holy shit lady, you're fucked. Never understood how people still paid attention to Paul. Piers, I like in a certain way. He has guests on that you have NO idea existed, so you're exposed to the craziness they represent. So you know what kind of extremist views exist so you can properly defend against them. I don't watch Piers mostly, though. I won't watch interviews if I despise the guest. He's definitely a tabloid reporter who occasioinally makes sane comments and conclusions.
3 of these were worth their spots. 2 of them were meh in terms of how bad they are versus others who got exposed this year in my opinion. They just seemed more against the creator's personal beliefs than the WORST of the worst.
