Third Strike is one of my favorite fighting games cause it was one of the first ones I played, so even though I don't remember much about the game, I still remember this. I know this video took a minute to come out, but I hope you enjoyed it. Recommend some more moves in the comments.

Recommend more moves below!!! This one was a lot more lowkey than what you may have expected, had to get back into the swing of things really. Man, You have to make a video talking about Zangie's leg grab in Street Fighter V, It's simply THE WORST move I'v ever seen in a fighting game, It is extremely specific, so this move is useless against most characters, the command to activate it is very similar to one that is really good, so it only gets in the way when you will do its attack, and the recovery time is extremely slow Edit: the movement name is: Tundra Storm

Worst part about Remy being so bad in 3rd Strike is that… his design is kinda cool. He’s supposed to be this game’s version of Guile, but he’s in a game where one hit projectiles are bad, and his moves that could do real damage are so easy for the opponent to fall out of. This video doesn’t even mention how he has for the lowest stun bar in the game (tied with Akuma), or that he has the most useless taunt buff in the game, or how in 3rd Strike you pick your super at the start of the match so your opponent knows that you’re gonna try to do the worthless counter super. He’s held back by just not being finished or well thought out. I hope he comes back in SF6, cause he does genuinely fit in with the rest of the SF cast and could totally be salvaged and made cool. (Also bring back my man Q Capcom please)

@@oxerrt he does extra stun damage. the thing is, you NEVER see remy stun the opponent. not only that, his taunt is hilariously long and never safe to use. edit: extra stun damage for the next hit/combo

Blue Nocturne should have been a secret super just like Akuma's Raging Demon, you would still probably definetly NEVER use it but it could work as a mind game thing.

The next worst part is that you have to PICK blue nocturne so your opponent KNOWS you're going for the cheesy counter, so they just won't hit you on the ground when you have full super lol

Marvel 3’s dance macabre is another useless option. It’s a move Dante has that can only be done if he connects jet stream. This is already weird because…well Dante is flooded with “to do Y do X first, but cancel it” moves because of how incredibly big his move pool is. But most can be canceled into before it hits to just give you the move. And most of these moves are great. Killer bee to the hammer turns a dive kick to a brutal overhead that leads to a combo and acid rain is an alternative shot for Artemis that changes a homing shot to a 7 character length rain of lasers that forces blocks and allows for mean 50/50’s. So these lead to good options normally. Some top 10 special moves here. But Dance Macabre is just a hit grab. It does terrible damage and ends the combo there for no extensions or super ender. This is already ass but when you remember this is mahvel and Dante’s brother has a level one he combo into and out of. So it ends your combos right then and there and needs to be comboed into so it’s just awful. It has no use. But the funny thing is this bottom 10 move has an alternative. Instead of dance macabre you can go into fireworks from jet stream. Fireworks is a flurry of safe on block shotgun shots that control the whole ground, scale really well can be super canceled to million dollars which can be X factored into a new combo that will probably kill. So yeah…either look cool…or get everything you can ever want from a combo ender in the world. Tough call.

The fucked part is supreme rising rage flash just…does everything this was supposed to do but better. Like you get two stocks for EX’s, can be comboed into, anti airs, and is a hard parry. But it’s also a frame 1 invincible super and still hits hard. Like sa2 does absolutely everything blue nocturne does with none of its downsides and more upsides. And it’s on top of that an actually great super. Like not just relatively like 12 or Sean’s supers, no this bottom 3 character has two amazing supers and this garbage.

I think a really bad move is Freiza’s Warp Smash from DBFZ. It’s meant to be a reversal move, but it doesn’t track the opponent? Absolute garbage move. I’d also love to see you talk about Twelve’s X copy, since it has the same problem as DIO’s move, at the end he’s put in a long animation and takes double damage, but it’s also tied to a super. The copy effect isn’t even that good.

It's a blessing that SF3 forces you to select a super art. Because without that factor, Remy has to walk into a fight with that as an option weighing him down. Yes, I'm straight up saying, it's better for him to not have the move at all, than it being a part of his kit, and it dragging his ass down.

Have you looked at SFA3 Ryu's Metsu Shoryuken by chance? Low damage for a Level 3, but becomes a Shin Shoryuken with proper damage if you hit at the furthest possible range, which I honestly think can only be done by accident in a real match.

0:54 An example of a proper counter super is F-Kohaku's 214c in Melty Blood AACC. The superflash only happens if she actually lands the parry, and until the opponent actually strikes her, the animations play out the same as her other 214x moves.

There's a way worse counter super. Allow me to introduce you to BlazBlue Terumi 's Venomous Bite. Now, unlike Blue Nocturne, its stealthy with super flash on a successful counter and if it's activated, it's guaranteed to hit. HOWEVER, the move is incredibly inconsistent at actually activating, often merely blocking attacks without activating or getting hit normally. And if you miss, you get stuck in an animation for like two years. It's essentially a super taunt. Note that the same game has Hakumen, whose counter super works on you tenderly stroking your wife's cheek in another country. Somehow, Terumi players still use it every match.

While we're on the topic of SF3, Twelve's worst super is SA3 - X.C.O.P.Y. -Costs a full bar of meter, and only has one stock. -Highest bar of meter possible for Twelve, giving his EX moves limited use (which, mind you, are one of the only good parts about his kit). -Can't use the enemy's supers or EX moves while transformed. -While in the de-transformation state, Twelve takes ridiculously increased damage. Only good part about it is that you get to play someone else other than Twelve.

freeman on garou not only looks aesthetically similar to remy but also has a counter hit super that actually makes sense, its animation its literally just his walk cycle. I think daimon on kof 13 also has something similar.

Maybe there could be a separate series on bad supers/special moves... Here's a suggestion: puff up, super smash bros. Brawl to ultimate. And/or, the jigglypuff final smash. This shit will barely hit anything, and then do pretty pitiful damage (for a final smash) if it does. Even standing in the middle of the stage doesn't help shit. The ONLY way you're getting use out of this is if you're fighting god damn LITTLE MAC, and they jump off stage to try to avoid it.

As a Jigglypuff main I feel obligated to defend this move, for example if you use it from underneath the stage it is literally almost always a guaranteed kill, and you're not supposed to use it in the middle of the stage, it's designed to be used on the edge of the stage

@@bubalackgaming8892 Who is actually going to think of using it under the stage? And how many chances do you get to even get there in the first place? Jigglypuff is pretty slow while moving, with the only upside being the fact that jigglypuff has the best air mobility. The only real chance you can get to use this final smash and ACTUALLY get safely under the stage is if you are at a VERY low percent and get knocked away due to jigglypuff being one of the lightest characters. And even then, if used under the stage, many characters can easily just jump off the stage and have enough air mobility to dodge. Or alternatively, use the ledge invincibility frames at the right time. Also also, you'd need to actually get to the middle of the bottom of the stage in order to use it anywhere near effectively. It's just insanely situational, and if you're just playing with hazards off or something, some stages don't even HAVE A bottom. Plus, Jigglypuff has a higher chance to literally DIE than get under the stage, there's barely any real way to properly execute this final smash. This entirely ruins the point of final smashes, as they are meany to be powerful moves to be unleashed and finish off an opponent quickly. Or some other cases, they can help you finish off an opponent or help you in some way like peach and daisy. But puff up? It'll barely do anything. I can see how it's useful for ledgegaurding, however I feel that many characters INCLUDING jigglypuff have better options (for example, a spike.) I do respect trying to defend your main tho, I'd probably do the same thing.

@@genericusername3334 Actually, you'd be surprised how little the amount of characters that can avoid it from below the stage is. The only ones I can think of off the top of my head that can avoid it are Villager, Isabelle, K.Rool, and possibly Sora but it takes a bit of effort for him to avoid it. Other than that, very few characters that get hit by it in this situation can actually survive it in the first place, mainly just heavyweights. For almost every single other character in the game it's a guaranteed kill. Sure, most of the time you might lose a stock doing it, but even then by the time you have your final smash you should already have a stock lead, so using it in this way can help you keep that lead because of how easy it is to kill with it.

I think I know a move worse than DIO’s die move. Nemesis’s fatal mutation from umvc3. It’s a grab so the range is shit but unlike other grabs in umvc3 THE STARTUP HAS NO I-FRAMES. so basically you have to go up to your opponent (which is hard with nemesis since he is slow as my grandma going down the stairs) then do the input and hope your opponent just stands there because if they do an attack, the move gets canceled, if they jump it whiffs. Very shit move.

Fei Long's Ultra 2 on USF4 also has the same issue, it's a counter super that has a super flash before it becomes active. I haven't seen a lot of high level Fei Long gameplay and because the Steam community for SF4 is actual ass and nobody plays anyone besides shotos I can't know for sure if the move is as bad as Blue Nocturne, but I imagine it kinda is. Edit: Cammy Ultra 2 also has this problem, and it's arguably an even worse ultra since it only works with direct hits. Fireballs and grabs beat it out.

Just another reason why Remy sucks and why SF3 is overrated. This character is nothing but a stooge that tries to take himself too seriously, and the fact that he replaces Guile in a roster that is was already terrible from the previous SF3 iterations just makes it even worse, and now we see why the gameplay in SF3 is also flawed, because of the super flash.
