@@diooverheaven6561they’re the main villain of a fringe sect of Islam (essentially people bring it up to make fun of a cult and how stupid their creation myths/lore are).
For a video about 50s tank design it’s unfortunate you didn’t cover the YOH tanks. Either way nice to see there’s some history to the tanks I once called fake from world of tanks.
The T110 is crazy. How did they fail on the most basic requirements... every single time? You'd think that wouod have been the first thing they hammered out.
I like how the SU-122-54 is basically exactly what the US was looking for in the T110 casemade program but also better in almost every conceivable way except needing short kings as crewmembers.
Given my limited knowledge of patent law (I am not a lawyer), Harvey's 4.5in auto-repeating rocket launcher patent looks to be for the mechanical aspects of the weapon system and not for a whole vehicle. The fire control elements were likely filed under a separate patent, if one was ever filed by Harvey; I wouldn't expect a machinery company to file electrical engineering related patents.
That would make a lot of sense actually. The guy on the Tank Encyclopedia Discord I talked to knew the guy who had the photos of the turret mockup as well as the documents stating it was intended for the M46 Patton. As for the fire control system, the funny thing is it has no other patents with it, so it seems that they may not have been able to get another firm to develop it in time.
I first became interested in the TV-8 when it popped up in the Void in Season 1 Episode 5 of "Loki". Probably a good thing that the Time Variance Authority pruned it from the timeline...
7:01 If you are wondering why the tank has 4 tracks and the inside area's tracks angle downwards, it's beccause they built the turret and then built the tank around the turret. They had to eliminate the tracks from impeding the massive support structure holding the turret. God this tank is awful..
The mid-50s through early 60s were the heyday of strange military concepts that rarely made it past the prototype stage, or even the drawing board. I think McNamara canceled most of the crazier projects in the early 60s.
That's actually a really good question. I've never seen anything about those vehicles either. Hopefully someone much more intelligent than I can provide the answer.
Just a note: For the people who have made you feel as though you needed to apologize for audio quality. I would suggest they go out and hangout around things that go boom. Enough of that and audio quality isn't a problem. The constant squealing in your ears will make you happy just to hear. I enjoyed the video love those 50s sci fi space tanks.
I suspect the repeated issues with T110 were caused by the american engineers failing to convert meters into potato units. Six times in a row. Good thing they had computers designed by Germans and able to convert units on the fly by the time they decided to do a Moon landing. Either that or there's an order to reward these men for their service to the Motherland somewhere in the soviet archives.
Im on vacation, hungover, almost arrested for stealing and vandalising goverment propery, almost kicked off the camping and this is what i watch, life is good
The Harvey looks like an attempt for someone to make money on a wonder system, dazzling the customer with wow factor, trying to hide the fact that a cheaper solution already exists. In this case an MLRS would suffice. A 20 rocket rail system would likely be only a little bigger than the 20 round belt that was proposed. It would be longer but it would be more reliable, cheaper and more easily fitted to something like a truck. Your modeling is very impressive and is always good to see.
I've been tempted to make like a battlefield-Helldivers style game about "what if the Cold War went hot in 1948-50 rather than 1980" and this just gave me some perfect tanks to use in it, lol, thanks!
@@tablesizeproductions4360 we just going balls-to-the-walls insane with this one! like those US Navy jet hover platforms, nuclear artillery shells, GIs of the future, tank-on-tank combat on the autobahn, etc, etc. plus I kinda had the idea that the whole game was built around the helldivers system of big map that the players can liberate (in this case a world map) from the commies, but the commies in this case are other players trying to free the world from capitalism
@@tablesizeproductions4360 We going balls to the walls insane with this one, with like those jet powered hover tables for the US Navy, nuclear artillery shells, parasite fighters for B-36 peacemakers, the GI of The Future, the list of batshite insane concepts just goes on! I kind of imagine it as a cross between Battlefield's combat, and Helldivers stratagem and Galactic war systems. Although in this case, the Galactic Map would be a world map, where they must liberate the earth from the clutches of Communism, with the twist being that the communists are other players trying to free the world from the shackles of capitalism!
Fallout 4 definitely referenced the AE Phase 2 for its heavy tank design (with double barrels reminiscent of a few Soviet designs), but why the design team did not render in the TV-8 as an asset I do not know.
Finally, someone who states up front that the nuclear powerplant of the TV-8 was just a variant proposal and that the initial design called for a more conventional engine. Personally I prefer to talk about the design of the TV-8 without just harping on the “Chernobyl on treads” thing, especially since there’s little evidence that the nuclear option was ever seriously considered.
Incredible History Great Vibery Some immense Misframing Edits are mostly Good It’s Amazing how much waste went into some of these projects But It had to be done in order to prove the Efficiency of these Good and Bad Concepts I Wish Fallout put more Effort into It’s s SciFi Mil stuff, especially the Armor All while making Fun of how Ridiculous 40s-50s Mil Theorycrafting got Be so Perfectly fitting
First time here and wel entertained. love to see some more original subjects instead of only the classic TV-8 and object-279. Only knew about the TV-8 before.
10:05 This tank…what in gods creation did we try to do??? It’s like we would destroyed the earth, just like Einstein and Oppenheimer feared I honestly think we’re lucky that it wasn’t made
The Harvey is actually set to feature in a Wolfenstein mod called the New Order at some point. I can confirm from testing the mod it does indeed create many a warcrime.
@@tablesizeproductions4360 Amazing. Also your memes slay me. Please make more at your own pace, I've not had a gut laugh as good as I did about the "Exclusion zone"
Thanks for talking about less known tanks that apeared in wot. Also hate me as much as you want but the T100 tanks looks cool af, specially the E4 and E3.
two things: one, the TV-8 mod is SUPER old, I saw Baron do a video on it 6 or 8 years ago Two: that fucking xenomorph of a tank looks... *unfortunate.* i betcha WoT will eventually stick it in and give it an autoloader 💀
Unfortunately, I had to create the TV-8 shown here. As of 2024, the BaronVonGames mod is still unreleased, and it seems he tries to dodge anyone asking him what happened to it. If I remember correctly, there was a falling out between him and _Beckett but I can't be certain. It's funny you mention WoT because aside from the TV-8 and the Harvey, all of the other tanks are already in WoT lol.
There is a lot of stuff in the mod that was made by a friend and I promised not to release his work. The tanks shown here could be given out to someone who wants to build their own mod, but I personally will not be making one.
Fantastic video, I hate to ask a question that's already answered, but regarding the mod used in the gameplay footage, is there any available information about it, is it completely unavailable to the public?
99% of the mod is completely unavailable to the public. Only a handful of vehicles like the Harvey repeating rocket launcher will be public but the rest likely won't be. Most are unfinished, unrefined, and unstable.
Men of war huh lol the amount of vehicles I have made using 3ds max for that game and call to arms oh man I miss that great video if you want more vehicles ported over to call to arms so it looks better due to the updated GEM engine lmk
1:11 : Fear Czechochoslovakian mashines of revenge. Buildings, bunkrs tanks, soldiers cant stop them. They will Burn your world to the crust, not knowing merci. XD
I’m gonna be honest, the TV-8 probably wouldn’t be as much a risk of blowing up, as it would be leaking fucking radiation after it’s knocked out, but these tanks in low supply environments, say like Siberia, they could have nearly limitless range out there, I am surprised nobody sees the potential now of building a nuclear powered tank is today though, nuclear technology has advanced far beyond the 60s, and many nuclear powered warships are active in the US navy, why not atleast try to design another one that isn’t just a giant round piece of garbage
World Of Tanks modelled the ARMT off of the Harvey but sadly they didn't want to make it a proper rocket tank. Interestingly, the ARMT's hull appears to be a dressed-up rendering of the hull shown in the patent. (Great eye btw!)
