I don't live in down town Tacoma, but the aroma of Tacoma is a thing of the past. I used to travel through Tacoma back in the 1970s and that was when it really stunk. There are some industrial activities down on the tide flats that smell bad, but for the most part it is just your normal city smells. In fact most of the time there is a light breeze off the sound that helps get rid of any smells.

It's not just the highways with the trash. Neighborhood street corners are no better and it's year-round. Dump your old furniture/toys/appliances on the curb and there it sits, slowly disintegrating.

The "popping" sound effect is the MOST annoying thing in this video!!!!!

Worst thing about Tacoma is trying to cross the Narrows bridge during an ice storm.
