An outlaw who has been gone from home for 20 years returns to find out who killed his son. Director: Philip Ford Writer: M. Coates Webster Stars: Allan Lane, Black Jack, Eddy Waller
Black Jack was a Morgan stallion owned by Allan Lane. The breed is known for its handsome looks and intelligence. Rocky and Black Jack made a fantastic team.
The guy looking for the money 43:05 was Robert Wilkie who later became one of the westerns' all-time bad 'bad guys!' Robert Blake who as a kid Bobby Blake and 'Little Beaver' in the Red Ryder westerns said Wilkie was about the only person on the set who was nice to him.
A rare Rocky Lane western where there wasn't a female in the cast. Son #2 was played by Rand Brooks who had a prominent role as Scarletts suitor in 'Gone With The Wind.' He also played the sidekick in several Hopalong Cassidy westerns.
Did anybody else catch the gun hitting the camera at the 57:58 mark in the video when Rocky Lane and the the guy playing Lonnigon were fighting and Rocky threw the gun.
He did not want credit for it. Then it was a bit. I thought I recognized Me Ed voice but couldn't remember from where. Been a long time since I had seen a movie.
Funny how in all his movies, he uses the same stunts. First he ropes him off the horse. Then he jumps on them from off the bolder. And of course he dives on the other cowboy, while at a full gallop...
This is a fun flick. Easy to spot the bad guys and the hero wears a white hat! Is a bit surprising that there's not a female character in this movie; not even a bit part. (Nugget could've had a wife or the deceased Tom, or wounded Jimmy, a girlfriend.) Always suspicious of an all-male (or all female) cast...
