Whitney Huston got one of strongest vocals ever existed. Singing her song on auditions like this is like fighting vs Bruce Lee only because you have won fight with girl in kindergarden. You just DON'T do it. Unfortunately they don't know that xd
It's better to really know the song, set your body square, let the light hit you, close your eyes and center, then fill your lungs with precious air, tighten your diaphragm, loosen your vocal cords and hear, a fraction of a second before, When you come in and How you come in. Then let it float out there.
I really don't think it's right how any of them laugh.... yeah... when you go to these things, it is what it is... no doubt.. but it's not a good look for them.....
I felt bad for Nick Merger and I loved how Cheryl came and hugged him in the end. I hope and pray that he finds another profession and be successful in that. Overall, great compilation - thank you!
@@satinden i cant find it and i really want to hear it, tried looking it up on youtube, google and spotify but yielded no results. If you could send a link I'd be greatly appreciative.
@Jennifer Lee. Just what I was thinking when she said to Ariel that she was scary and thought they were going to have a scrap. Cheryl was convicted of beating up that toilet attendant.
I wonder if the mum realised she ruined the chances of Ant getting through when she told him Seb should join, because if Ant went as a solo act, he might have went onto Bootcamp then judges houses and then on to the live shows as he could have gone far because he did sound very good but it was bogged down with Seb doing whatever he was doing
No? Some people just don't have it in them. You can't change your vocal chords nor your natural talent. He's going to find something else he CAN do and get better at it What's ridiculous is that you believe he's in an audition to sing in a karaoke. It's a contest and the winner gets tons of money and most importantly a career with newfound fame they can profit from
It’s not heartless, they’re trying to help him. He’s not a professional singer, truly he’s not. He’s fine for karaoke but that’s about it. They don’t want him to waste his whole life chasing a dream he will never achieve. He’s still making music, I listened to the song ‘heal the hurt’ it’s very generic. I’m glad he’s having fun but it’s never gunna lead to anything.
oh ye u right, lets give him false hope and make him waste another 8 years of his life chasing a dream he would never achieve.....in singing you either got it or u dont, its nearly impossible to turn an okay-ish voice into proffesional singer when there is tons for actually good singers that struggle to make it in that business....
I think that’s bs. He had a very nice show, you’re always supposed to give someone a chance if they can sing. He can sing, the competition is about the potential of the contestant and he showed more potential than anyone I’ve seen in a while. The show is a joke
@@AirForceKrissy lol anybody can sing, its about who can sing well. Nick can't sing well. he has no range and can't hold a note. are you crazy? and no the competition isn't just about potential, it's also about who has the best voice, not who *could* have the best voice. the judges were harsh but absolutely correct.
@@nicolepotter8563 shut up. those who are getting a ticket are "lucky". but those who are chasing dreams by practicing, practicing and practicing. are the real legends. those are the ones who gets the followers.
Nicole potter / no he actually was good enough, and that's the reality. There's been people with weaker voices that have got through to the competition, they're just biased ASL
The first guy received the nicest no I have ever seen Simon provide 🤣 I thought the dreadheaded "holistic vocal coach" or whatever she was, was about to put a spell on the judges. 😂 Simons faces had me cracking up the whole time.
Ariel. I could see what she was trying to do. I think that had she of not had an attitude and had sung an actual song, she could have possibly got through. She had the vocal range to be a decent singer. Unfortunately, she was diagnosed with Schizophrenia and committed suicide back in 2019.
Her suicide was one of the saddest things I'd heard,it was heartbreaking the mental health team really let that poor lady down .& she sadly will always be remembered by that awful X- Factor audition.
@@Lengstrom - She was a total nut-job, so that makes sense. She obviously had numerous problems, and it's probably for the best that she's not traumatizing the world any longer.
That guy that that Cheryl knew wasn't as bad as the judges made it seem, there have been MUCH WORSE auditions that didn't have this cruel of judging...
I wouldn’t say cruel, it was tough love. Cheryl didn’t have the heart to say no so she just didn’t judge at all. He was having thoughts that he should quit and they simply were telling him the truth that he should. He wasn’t horrific but he wasn’t good.
Yeah but he was clearly desperate for fame because he had been trying for 8 years, almost a whole decade and the judges always hate desperate clowns, especially Simon
He is a better vocalist than Cheryl and she would feel guilty judging cos she knows it. Basically this scenario sums up the modern music industry, image over talent
I love the audition with Ant and Seb. Every time I watch it, I giggle. Though to be fair, Ant is actually a really good singer. It's like Ant has been told by his parents that he can go to his audition, but he has to take his little brother with him. Seb, is so sweet and wants his brother to be noticed. The Welsh accent makes him even more adorable.
Totally agree. I think Ant was pretty good but bringing his brother to this audition was quiet unfortunate and he turned this into a comedy show. No offence. He seems to be a pretty nice guy but he kinda ruined it for his brother.
2:58-9:37 This one got to my heart as well as Cheryl's as she knows what he had to go through And for her to see his dreams being shattered forever while she's made in big in the music world must be unbelievably emotional I would be feeling just as heart broken as Nick was if I was in his shoes in that moment in time After giving it a Bind Audition like on The Voice I would've given him a chance
It’s a very heartbreaking story but the reality is that he’s not good enough. Could he make it to the mid point of the contest? Maybe, a lot of bad singers do. They could have given him more false hope but they wanted to be honest with him. He isn’t a good singer
The judges were so harsh towards that guy Nick, who was on Pop Stars with Cheryl years ago. He wasn't that bad! His voice was decent. I think he deserved a chance to go to the next round! That was such a bummer. I felt so bad for him watching him choke back his tears!
@@saintgein when they said he was to old I thought what nonsense! I know Susan Boyle was on the other talent show but they didn’t turn her away cause of her age!?!?
I think they were being honest as he was mediocre and that is not what the x factor is about. He would have been struggling immediately against much better talent and that would not have been fair to him and possibly more damaging than the criticism at that point in time.
I think there were a lot of people with an undiagnosed or maybe even undiscovered mental illness auditioning for televised talent shows around this time in history... I would truly love a return to this EXACT format of the X factor in 2022 as I believe that the nutters will be at a premium vintage this year! It could be absolutely golden.
Wow Nick was so talented. Much more talented than other contestants. The judges shouldn’t have based his new audition on his past X Factor performances. He has such natural charisma and a powerful voice. I hope he kept going after his dreams ♥️
@@JoeBlow-ub1us I agree with you. It’s a touching story but he could make more money singing on a cruise ship than at the bingo joint if he really wants to sing without the fame. He is more talented than a lot of other contestants but majority of them suck or very average. Imo
The point is that he isn't special enough to win X-factor. He would have stranded halfway. The good thing however is that he isn't a bad singer. If he really wants to get into music, he should start a band himself. With a good song he will be able to make it. The chances of anyone winning competitions like X-factor is like winning a lottery.
@leannaburroughs5642 I definitely think he should have picked a song that would match well with his vocal range as he would have gotten a yes from the judges as Cheryl would definitely be the first to say yes because it would have sparked a fire in the guy's heart to try make it far, even if he didn't make it to the end, he would have opportunities to create music and because a great performer outside the show selling albums
Why do people with terrible voices always compare themselves better to the greatest legends like King of Pop, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey and so on. 🤣🤣🤣Delusional
WHEN SIMON SAID “ITS TIME TO STOP CHASING THAT DREAM” and saying “he never will have a good voice” is like something from a movie seriously. Its so hard, very powerful, very sad to hear. Heart Breaking. NOW ALL WE NEED IS FOR THE GUY TO COME BACK AFTER A BUNCH OF MONTAGING AND COME BACK IN AND BLOW THEM AWAY AND GET HIS DREAM! Cut to him in the future playing a huge stadium, and then the credit roles!!! SCENE
The reason why Simon said that was because of how Nick knew this was going to be his last chance to impress the judges and to get far in the main shows if he was given a second chance but I think Cheryl could have went after Nick and said that she will help him out to focus on key areas of his vocals even if it's sending him to a vocal coach to help him out thus him returning another year and totally blow the judges back trus giving him that golden opportunity, that's my opinion on that
Dreams are important. We should always strive to for fill ours dreams…but…if it’s stunting you, if you allow it to distract and disrupt other opportunities in life you have to adapt and change them.
Nick Major should have hired a music vocal coach to improve his singing and explore the alternatives to pop music. He also should have explored the public libraries on alternatives to pop music. Nick also should have explored the possibility of becoming a singer-songwriter.
i wanna know where Nick is now. his voice was GOOD and he is cute. they were way too hard on him. plus with vocal lessons, practice, time and experience he could’ve gotten even better pretty quickly because again, his voice was already good. and the whole “you look too old” thing is so 2000’s and i’m glad we’re slowly moving away from that mindset as a society. i hope Nick didn’t give up or at least knows he’s literally not bad and the judges were just being harsh. i hope he still sings for fun.
Agreed, Seb ruined what would have been a fantastic opportunity for Ant, Seb should have only come to give Ant support and encouragement and let Ant do a solo because the judges would have probably gave Ant the yeses
@@PrinceYamiUchihaCosplaywell I think Seb wanted it more than Ant to be honest. And they broke up groups before if one can sing and the other doesn’t. So could have done it here. Problem is dat Ant doesn’t sing natural, it’s made up. Beside that, doesn’t have a new sound, very boy band nothing unique. But yes: I think they should have let him go true to the next round, he deserved that with his voice and looks. His brother telling the judges: he is a good singer, and to his brother: come sing something else, show them, says enough: he would have want his brother to go to next round for sure, with or without him.
I mean yeah but some of these contestants can be deluded into thinking they are far better singers than the famous ones at that time, especially when they compare themselves to people like Celine Déon (I think I screwed up the spelling of her last name), Mirah Carey and Whitney Houston then when they sing, it cones out horrendously
8:10 - I wish I was there. I would have told Nick the REAL TRUTH; Neither the X Factor, nor American Idol are the gate-keepers for singing superstardom. If no one knew who she was, and Jennifer Lopez came in there singing, she would have been turned down by all the judges. If Madonna came in there singing, she would have been turned down. THE DIFFERENCE IS THEY DIDN'T LET THE SAME OPINIONS FROM THE SAME PEOPLE STOP THEM. They didn't keep trying to convince the same people. "A person forced against their will is of the same opinion still." Nick needs to keep on keeping on because he does have the right voice. He just needs to audition in front of people who don't know he's been turned down already. He needs to go to New York, Los Vegas, L.A. and, or Minneapolis. I hope he doesn't give up because this is like a puzzle. You just have to figure out which turns to make to the jackpot. I'm rooting for Nick. GO Nick!
I wonder if Seb felt bad for ruining the golden opportunity that Ant could have gotten if he was a solo act, I think the judges were about to like Ant until Seb started to do whatever the hell he was doing which made the judges laugh
Dude's 24 years old acting like his life is over lmao. Bro just go take some singing lessons, you ain't a bad singer and you can be a great one with some work.
well because he was trying for years before that already. that’s what makes it different. PLUS all the judges just told him he was too old, had been trying for too long, that he should give up and that he had a bad voice and it wasn’t possible for him to improve. ofc he’s gonna feel upset and like his life is over after he was told all that. after trying for so long and not making it so many times, it’d be pretty easy for a human to believe they aren’t good enough when people tell them that.
I would totally agree with you but the only reason he's acting like that is because of the stupid uninformed shit Simon Cowell told him. Simon is clearly an expert in talent management and show business, but I feel like he doesn't know shit about music. "You just don't have it in your voice" "You don't have _it_ " ?????? lmao this is not the type of shit musicians say, it's the type of shit non-musicians say _about_ musicians.
Well I mean after being ridiculed so harshly and rather unfairly by the judges on television I’d be humiliated with my tail tucked beneath my legs. He was decent maybe not for what the show itself was looking because they can be quite overly dramatic. Nick wasn’t like one of the delusional acts a bit timid is all lack of confidence. But the judges destroyed him for the sake of entertainment I wish they didn’t
Honestly. A lot of simons readings be biased as fk. Nick had a beautiful voice, it wasn't nothing out of this world, but he had a very nice decent voice. They've let people through that have had worser voices than him, so I don't know why they were being so harsh on him. Their judgements of his singing wasnt accurate. There are singers nowadays that sound like straight shit but they still have gotten through to fame and popularity.
Ariel has always been one of my favorites. She is terrifyingly perfect. I think if she lost the additude and sung a real song she might be good. Its a shame she didnt do a serious audition.
If X Factor arrives in your city or town and your looking for a quiet day just find yourself your local mental home because all the patients are going to be out for the day auditioning for X Factor
I've been coming back here every day for the past 2 weeks just to see the first guy 😭 I don't know why but every time he gets to the part of *'.. But I believe in miracles'* I f**king lose my shit 😂😂😂
there are 3 different types of auditions.. 1 people who can truely sing but have never done it in front of people so they dont know how good they are ... 2. people who are in love with themselves and believe they are incredible no matter how bad they are.. 3. crazy people
While I respectfully disagree with Niks voice being the best ever, it's also incorrect to say he has no talent whatsoever. He has a very nice voice...it's just not The X-Factor!
Feel really bad for that Nick guy, I can not imagine how it feels to be singing n front of someone you were once on par with only for the judges to dump on him like a toilet. Props to Cheryl for standing down and moving aside waiting to give him a hug though. At least one of the judges has a heart.
Nik had a good voice. These shows are for one hit wonders. He could easily start a band.... doesn't have to be a boy band... a competition like this is for kids... not for him
I think if Cheryl Cole join X-factor she won't. win, her voice are terrible but she lucky because with help of others. Nick voice more much better. Cheryl Cole song not good, I never like it
@@safuwanfauzi5014 you might be tone deaf. I’m not a fan of her style of music but Cheryl is a great singer. Nik is bad for someone who’s been singing for 8 years
