Exactly. This is a huge reason why I went with the Series S over the other options, and it's only the icing on the cake considering the price.

@@rythmater I'm the first one to enjoy these emulators but please don't assign the fact we have these emulator to Phill. It isn't an active decision that we have all these apps (since they get deleted from the store in a day when the go up)

@@atomickidI think we should give them credit for making this available and for not caring about emulators being ran through dev mode. They’re very lenient relative to their competitors, and they know people are buying dev mode for emulation. It’s not exactly unreasonable to give MS credit for making this hugely available in the first place when they didn’t have to.

Pretty sure the normal dolphin devs have nothing to do with this. It's a completely separate fork from the main dolphin branch.

They can't get controls right and no one answers about this on the forum. They are wizards at everything but understanding how gamecube analog triggers work cause there are multiple games where trigger functions don't work at all, for example from russia with love and defender, and they don't even understand it themselves. Try it when following THEIR instructions, the one answer they gave me on the forums one time about it. Try hold down the left trigger to aim in FRWT then shoot. Good luck! Or try holding down RT to accelerate in defender. If you depress the trigger fully it will not work, the ship comes to a dead stop. It only works within the analog range of the controller but it's not even a game that responds to analog speed control. So you need to disable the analog emulation in controller setup and assign the triggers to LB and RB only then it will work. Deadzone also has something to do with it but I can't work it out personally and I can't get a single response about it. This affects absolutely every game in the library that uses the triggers as buttons, i.e., not for analog control. EVERY game. This has happened for me over the course of 5 completely different systems in over a decade and multiple different OS and over 10 different controllers, from xbox wired, to one bluetooth, to 8bitdo, to Gulikit and many more. If you follow the developer's instructions of assigning your LT and RT to both LT and RT triggers AND the LB and RB in dolphin, which is supposed to emulated both the analog movement and the actual button press when you depress the triggers, it just doesn't work properly. PERIOD. The only workaround I can find is to not assign the analog part and only assign the button part to games that don't use the analog function of the trigger, and only assign the analog part for games that DO use analog. I have only been trying to tell them this for YEARS and they can't seem to get it, so wizards at some things, not so much at others.

Unless you consider the SteamDeck a console.

I just tried Dolphin since last year and I was surprised for the level of performance it has for Gamecube games. Compared to other older emulators for other consoles, it's a very well done project.

Xbox streaming uses 1.5mb per second max though.😂🥴

The switch instalment is a completely game that is enhanced version of u with its expansion, which is a lot better game than wii. Also those non hd assets standout in wii at certain points when rendered at higher resolution. So the switch instalment looks a quite a bit better.

@@true_gamer39 I would highly recommend using a 128GB USB 3.0, it makes the process of setting up games easier just remember to format the stick to NTFS and change a few security properties

You do have to decide on which you want, whether it's on retail or dev mode . Eta prime is just doing the retail mode version cause mvg did a video on how to install it in the dev mode side. It's really up too you, you just gotta remember that every time Xbox updates, you'll lose the emulators you do have to also back up your saves to your usb so you won't lose progress each time you have to download the emulators again. On Dev mode you don't have to worry about any of this.

@@SeriousKeto correct, once installed in dev mode you can only use dolphin on dev mode however you can have dolphin on both sides retail and dev mode, however it'll only confuse you if you're not familiar with how the file structuring goes it can be quite confusing till you get the hang of it... What I will say is, if you do decide to install on dev mode, you do have a better compatibility range, then retail mode. Retail mode does have great compatibility however my previous comment is an indication of why retail mode can be a bit of a hassle and there extra precaution to take to not lose any data everytime we get a new update on the retail side of things.

@@SeriousKeto no problem bro, I know these can get quite confusing for some so where always here to help🙏🤗 Ill add in here if you do want better speeds or a way to properly manage everything I would suggest an SSD bank I have a 1tb m.2 SSD inside a SSD bank connected to the Xbox and gives me easy access to add in games and go back and forth with. However if you don't like the aesthetic, a 512gb or 1tb SD card to USB 3.0 reader is much faster then a regular USB 3.0 devices.
