I can understand though why kids in the Young Generation have no idea who he is. But that said there's probably a lot of people that don't know who a lot of really good rappers are. He was/is sooo talented lyrically, never got enough credit, and I imagine his "Pimp My Ride" career kind've put him in the "washed-out or sell-out category" so, while I'm sure it secured him a significant bag, I believe that it took away a lot of his musical cred. Another good example that I like to share with people (largely because most people just have no idea and never would unless they are serious heads and do serious, deep researching) is the group "Audio Push". I'm pretty sure everyone knows this song, but maybe they don't and I only do because of my age when it came out, I was somewhere late in my high school career, but "Audio Push" is the group behind the travesty called "Stanky Leg". However, DO NOT judge them based on that song alone; everyone at least look up the songs, "Come As You Are" and "Shine". They have a ton of great records, none of which are anything like that trash "Stanky Leg".
