I got here from the tumblr thingy, but still. The song may be horrible but the dislikes are directed to Yoshi's VGM, which I feel like is misdirected. But if the uploader is fine with it, I guess there is not problem.

The whole series has a childish, crayon-book aesthetic and the whole soundtrack sounds like it was made by babies. It was intentional; it's arguable whether they went too hard on it, but I'm not really surprised people can't learn to put 2 and 2 together

***** The best part about the original Yoshi's Island was the music. Yoshi's Island DS had pretty good music, but it wasn't as good as the original. Then this game came out, where literally every single song in the game is a remix of the same shitty song that doesn't fit in with any of the levels to begin with. I can't tell you how pissed off I am about that, it's what ruined the game for me.

@@heiselproductions_01 It's Masayoshi Ishi, he's worked in video game music since the 90s. He worked on the soundtrack to Yoshi's Island DS, Cooking Mama, Mario Party 9, and a lot more. Although I think the soundtrack as a whole is mediocre, this track is very clearly tongue-in-cheek, and I'm not sure why it gets so much hate. It's supposed to be silly!

Screw IGN. I have never trusted their reviews. The only reviewers I really trust nowadays are Nintendo Life and Gamexplain.

What did they even say? That it was too similar to Epic Yarn? I wouldn't doubt it. But hey, don't take them seriously. These are the same people who gave STICKER STAR an 8.3/10 while giving Pokemon ORAS 7.8/10 for too much water, ignoring the fact that Hoenn is a tropical island whose main feature is water. :/

They actually said it was much better than Epic Yarn (yet that got a 9/10). I don't understand, I have Wooly World right now, have gotten about halfway through the game (it's pretty long) and am loving it, certainly one of my favourite Wii U titles.

That's okay haha, it's really sad how most Nintendo games have fragmented releases as I live in the UK, and many games tend to be delayed here. We got Kirby and the Rainbow Paintbrush/ Codename STEAM months later than the US. But it doesn't change the fact Wooly World is miles ahead of those games, stay strong my US brethren the journey will be tough haha. It's not even like anyone can import the game due to the sodding region locking in place... I'd like a Pokemon X/Y situation, where everywhere gets games at the same times. It would be nice and fair, and even waiting until all the localisation is done would be fine. And I'm kinda gutted about the music not being uploaded haha, the soundtrack is absolutely amazing but pretty much impossible to find online lol. I find myself just listening to it in-game with the soundtest instead haha. But, it can't be helped really. :/
