thank you for the walk around. I'm hoping to put that system on my 74 460. your truck is awesome under the hood. lots of upgrades that look well installed.
That's a pretty dang nice truck! Nice B.B. 460 ON 44in Hawgs! You don't need a shiny paint job! So you cant be afraid to scratch up! That truck is just a nice mudder set up!! Even though I am a Chevy man. I also like a nice Ford when I see one!
Chevy all the way, but like you, I recognize a good ford... and I am kinda partial to a few of them. I'm wondering how bad a 460 in a 4 speed bronco with a 4.11 rear end is gonna guzzle gas. Thinking this or a holley sniper to fuel it
Great video! Does this fuel injection system stop it from stinking up like fuel so much. Im thinking of doing a fuel injection system and adding cats to my '55 ford with a 460 swap. I love my car but damn does it stink
i am build a 460 for 1977 f350 i liked your porting video i got to get same heads as i have a 1969 engine and compression will be to high according to my thinking and the Mad porter i bought his stuff yet to look at it butt will be porting the snot out of it .but i bought a fi-tech on ebay no hand-held tuner i rather tune with a pc Question is did you hook it to a pc /laptop or just handheld thing .worst case ill gut the bs ecu and run a megasquirt /microsquirt ecu might as well do that if i want a turbo just for sillyness [fun] because the unit i got will not allow turboing now i remember [wile typing] so i was told anyhow .Do you like the Fi-tech still ? i read mixed crap them .i got it crap so it will be great etherway .thanks for radiator tips
ok so color me dumb, carbs I can handle ignition systems I can handle, but ive got a 429 cj with dv3e heads, intake, headers, and a comp mutha thumpr cam, was curious about this system and only reasoning is I haven't dropped the money into a carb for it yet, is the hassle of it all worth it and does it function as reliable off road and on road equally? im looking into the 6al and msd conversion already and probably go with an hei setup, just asking guys, cause I don't know jack when talking this indepth on sensors and wiring....
Doesnt look like the sensor is in the coolant flow in the engine, you want it in the block where the temp is better read. If right after the thermostat it will give the computer an inaccurate reading.
can you shed some light on mpg increase if any, i have found nowhere where anyone post fuel mileage gains. example i have a 84 f-250 4bbl 460 automatic 2 wd.. with the factory motorcraft made by holley i get maybe 10.5 mpg. now for me to spend a grand or more for better drivability and starting i can buy 3 holley 4160's new in the box. but it's still carbs..
nice old ford i have had many including broncos.. i love the 460 engine. my 84 was a one owner stored 20 years in a basement with less than 35,000 miles when i git it now at 58, 000 only has 5 number odometer that idiot's these days can't read paint and interior near perfect. new fuel tank, and sender from sitting put rebuild kit in carb but as you know they have their quirks. 3.73 limited rear..thanks
