People all say "Wow JPJ" or "OMG Dave Grohl"...I think the fact that they were willing to form a hugely successfull band with that guy from QOSTA is a huge statement to the underrated talent of Joshua Homme. Homme is the essence of rock and roll frontmanship and musical prodiginy.
Ha, Hommes and Grohl have worked together before! And Grohl is lucky those excellent musicians were willing to disregard his puddling around in Foo Fighters and remembered what a good DRUMMER he is.
Shaytán Pajiv Villaprez Cannegro The best thing that came out of Nirvana was Foo Fighters. Whilst Nirvana changed music, Foo Fighters is just technically a better band, because the guitarists can actually play. But I guess its subjective.
Someone wrote that Josh started this band, not correct. Dave introduced Josh to JPJ because he thought they would hit it off. The product of their man crush was TCV. Thank goodness.
I love the groove of this song! ...It's not Queens of the StoneAge, The Foos or Zeppelin for that matter, but this trio fucking rock! ...I really dig Josh's different approach to a lot of his riffs, lyrics and music in general, no matter what musical venture he's a part of, just appears so unique to my ears!

When I first heard of this band, I obviously knew each member had a massive amount of talent, but I didn't expect them to gel together so seamlessly and create such awesome songs.
Would like to see Alain feature in the vid a little more. Love this song. Very encouraging. Maybe there's hope for me yet, despite being a middle-aged man!
I hear more Queens than Led Zeppelin and Foo Fighters because of Josh's vocals I'm not complaining though Josh is a guitar god and his vocals are legendary.
So awesome to see amongst all the 30 sec to mars crap that good, wholesome, original rock is still alive.... I saw em in Belgium a few weeks ago, if you get even half the chance to see them, grab it ! You'll be soooo happy you did...

Because of his being so unaffected by r n r excesses, he has a respect where he can say, "I reckon friend JPJ (stop and think about that for a moment.. 1/4 of LED ZEPPELIN is his mate!)should meet my buddy Josh.. yeah.. that'd be cool.." and because DG actually IS so cool, they do it!!
I can just see how many headlines would have called it a Zeppelin revival versus a proper 3 pronged supergroup (that often sounds like QoTSA on God mode)

@ssil08420 Well said. Josh Homme is brilliant -- a great guitarist, lyricist, and vocalist. Yet, as said in his own words -- "the worst thing in a band is role envy...[every member plays an essential part]." He's also said that he wouldn't want to do a solo project because he loves collaborating with other artists... Josh Homme is the man. This band is a great collaboration of talented musicians.
How powerful is this track? I can almost hear this being on Zeppelin's IN THROUGH THE OUT DOOR album. Bonzo would be very pleased with what Dave Grohl hs done here. An absolutely amazing album. Bring on another classic soon, boys!!!
