For the past 13 years, whenever I've found myself in a musical rut, this has been my go-to source of comfort, reminding me of the incredible and inspiring talent of these guys and what music is supposed to make you feel, thank you
It's May 2020. Once this pandemic is over and things go back to "normal"... the world needs you Josh, John, Dave and Alain. Please, a TCV album and tour, your music will heal many souls.
In the JPJ finale you can hear the quintessence of music genius. The movement to the last chord is enough to put JPJ at the top of a mountain. I'm sure Josh is thinking the same, by the look in his eyes. OMG
That look that Josh gives JPJ after the piano solo is basically the epitome of how all of us feel after experiencing this masterpiece of a performance.... GAHT DAM.
Josh and Dave must have been in rock heaven getting to do that album and tour with their hero JPJ. Dave especially had big Bonzo boots to fill. He did an incredible job. I bet JPJ never thought he'd get close to those Zep heights ever again. He damn near did though.
I think on part of this album he is just a session musician. There is ongoing discussion of a second album, and by no doubt if this happens he will make his mark on that album.
that's probably a part of why he's in the band, joshua always seems to give artists that he feels r underrated or just a plain good artist a place to shine while throwing his tasty sauce all over everything.
That was fuckin amazing. And now that I know Alain Johannes, it makes it all that better. Dave leaves his body and soul on those drums, playing with one of his idols. And Josh's look of satisfaction is wonderful. How incredible.
Man, I love this song so much it reminds me some of Jethro Tull's songs as well as having that early QOTSA (Queens Of The Stone Age) feel. Not to mention, those vocals from Josh Homme's are amazing.
Been a huge fan of QOTSA forever - no disrespect to any of the drummers that have played or play with them but Josh just has a different energy when Dave is behind him. Fantastic performance.
while JPJ was playing majesticly the keys, i was crying. But not just crying for nothing. I cried because i can say now that they've created something that is so good, so intense, so creative, so beatiful to listen... Well, ROCK IS ALIVE LADIES AND GENTLEMEN. Good night and have a nice day.
Four masterpieces of rock music and goddamn badasses too! I can't handle all this perfection. They all seem so happy across playing the song. I hope they do more sometime.
So wonderfully twisted.driving.it gets wedged in my head for a week at a time.AWESOME.there is so much good about it i could blow out about it for ages.that is quality music.thanks for posting
This band is the living proof of rock greatness when muscicians from different rock ages come together and jam makes one realize that no other music genre can accomplish such talent levels I'm in awe!!!!!
Yeah, Led Zeppelin is the backbone of hard rock these days. Kind of how Kyuss is the backbone of anything Josh has done, or Nick, or anyone in Kyuss for that matter.
Wow! This is just amazing JPJ is awesome on the bass and Dave Grohl was a freak on the kit. Dave is my biggest inspiration as a musician especially as a drummer. I just got his signature stick and it feels amazing.
Absolutely, when I saw them in Auckland, his solo that he did after the intermission was one of my favourite performances from the night. Total baddassery.
At 00:34 you see the face of true musicianship. He literally makes the face of the sound of the bass. That bass took a big sh*t right in front of dave lmao😄🤙
Self indulgence?Lengthy? Possibly! Innovative!S bit scary in places?!A fantastic journey!? Incredible entertainment!? You better believe it! I was loving J.P.J's bass playing back invthe 70's with Led Zeppelin when i was a teenager too!
