GREAT singer. Playing tough guitar parts and singing at the same time is something very few people can do. Very few. Josh does it and does it well. Tougher yet to do 'live' with high P.A. levels and hear yourself and stay in tune. It's not as perfect as the studio stuff where he can hear himself better, but amazing performance for 'live'.
I have also heard that from the drummer. Also he has posted a tcv hint on social media or website recently with the last 6 months dont remember where I seen it. It was a pic of the vultures head (red and white)
Hard to believe that this is a little punk rock kid from Virginia who got to be in the biggest band on the planet for a minute, then he went on to form his own successful band, and then he got to play with a Beatle and a member of Zeppelin. Crazy, huh.

The drum sound at this show is one of the best I've ever heard in my life. You can hear how hard he's hitting, my jaw was between my knees during the entire set. Great live band.
I was in the front row during the entire concert. Easily on my all time top 3 concerts! The pure joy of watching superstars having a great time entertaining us mere mortals is still very fresh in my memory 12 years on.
You can tell this is a band of titans, cause there's so much going on in each song, a neverending jam session between legends. Such a fun band to listen to and learn from.
Janneke Goossens Very good music selection. But, that store is outsourced, so I don't put much stock into that, they don't even have XL hoodies. They may have tunes in the vault already. I wish the FF tour was over already. FF last album seems weak. But, I am skeptical, hope I am wrong. TCV Do it!
Totally underrated project!! I knew it existed years ago, but just recently started listening to it. They really need to get together and do another album!!
@@rodriguezelfeliz4623 hahaha I can tell you don’t know what you’re talking about. They change PITCH and TONE with foot peddles. They don’t play BASS with their feet. Lol
@@dontask6863 "A pedalboard (also called a pedal keyboard, pedal clavier, or, with electronic instruments, a bass pedalboard[1]) is a keyboard played with the feet that is usually used to produce the low-pitched bass line of a piece of music. A pedalboard has long, narrow lever-style keys laid out in the same semitone scalar pattern as a manual keyboard, with longer keys for C, D, E, F, G, A and B, and shorter, higher keys for C♯, D♯, F♯, G♯ and A♯. Training in pedal technique is part of standard organ pedagogy in church music and art music". JPJ knows this technique because the first instrument he learned to play was the organ, as his father was an organ player.
@@smwrbd god yes. are you still listening TCV? By the time I haven't found anyone. anyways, Josh's voice is priceless, dude, but that's ok if you don't like it
Just wen u thought its safe to get behind ya drums again grohl shows us all whos the best rock drummer since john henry bonham ! Just a beast back there !
@@JuniorFarquarthis list is laughable. The only person worthy is Ginger Baker. Mitch Mitchell?? Jon Theodore?? Neither of them are ranked but RINGO is?? And you put Buddy Rich, famous ROCK drummer lol. Cmon dude
21:00 dude, that Josh + Dave voice synch on "fire" sounds AMAZING. Rewinded it at least 5 times. Dave has such a recognizable unique voice, and so does Josh. Just hit the spot
Gabriel Ruiz Dave Grohl played drums for Nirvana yes, He also fronts Foo Fighters and wrote and recorded the whole first album for th Foo by Himself, and is the Drummer for TCV, as well as an occasional drummer for more Bands than I can list here.
@@vinyldiary6664 Dave never really played anything super out there in Nirvana. He was very stripped back if you compare his drumming in Nirvana to his stuff with Tenacious D/QotSA/TCV.
@@MrMotte62 He's not actually part of the band, he's a touring musician. And afaik it's a request not to have him on camera, due to contractual reasons or personal preferences, can't remember.
@@Blinkubus you just made all of that up lol. Alain wasn’t in the band for the recording of the album but they all considered him as a a part of the band once the tour started. If they do a second album he will be a part of it. Alain engineered the album and never asked to not be on camera for these made up contractual reasons
This concert was the first one, I got pushed away from my friend, and ended at the side (midway, so I could see everything) of the 2nd pit. She later told me she (somehow) ended up front (of that pit). But besides that, this was great, and so much better, than on video. I loved it all. (Well beside getting lost from my friend.)
I remember standing right in front of JPJ. We were a group of 6 guys. Been there about an hour and a half before the show. By 0:54 there was no group. Everything exploded up front! What a show!
I remember when I bought this album, I thought love queens of the stone age so this should be awesome, nightmare what a waste of money, was actually going to throw it out the car in anger,it got taken out my sounds machine and placed at the bottom of my in car pile, shit I thought. Now me and my sons went to see Queens in Glasgow and enjoyed the gig and as we do we blast the latest album of the band a week after the gig, and then I thought driving along one day, lets try that piece of shit crooked vultures gambit. It is March 2015 and it still in the player,a fantastic collection of extremely awesome musicians, give it a whirl again,I so so love Gunman.
@@franciscomeza3408 no Josh uses a vocal effect. So you’re hearing a combination of Josh’s voice, a pitched down live track of Josh’s voice, AND Alain on that song
What on earth is JPJ playing on No One Loves Me? It looks like a 5 string slidey bass with one of those doohickeys that Matt Bellamy's got on his guitars
Well, this was a great execution of musicianship.......complex and melodic ... shame the "other" guitarist didn't get covered....he was talented and brought the best out of Josh.
If only y’all knew what amps josh was using… we are talking two of the most unreliable amplifiers ever made😂 they sound so good when they want to work tho
