@@joshs3265 not true, Brendan basically got theo screwed out of 350k and there is definitely some ill will there. They went from being together constantly to theo basically disowning him. Brendan does that whole "he's my best friend we talk every day" bullshit with everyone who he has a falling out with. He's a constant liar and as disingenuous as they come.

I got introduced to Theo through Tfatk. Did he discover him? What does discovery mean traditionally in showbiz? Recognizing talent early and giving them a push. Theo was broke and lost and not sure if he was gonna make it when he first appeared on Tfatk

The only reason I found out about tfatk is because an episode popped up in my recommended with Theo as the guest and I watched it only because of Theo. Saying they discovered him or were the reason he got a following is some of the dumbest shit I’ve seen in a while. 😂

Whats comical is no one works with him (mainly branding reasons) but they still engage with him when the camera is off. But again, paint your narratives however is fitting to what you want to believe when all you are is a spectator and a potential consumer/cash flow.

Yes, but he did do stand-up comedy, interviews and online skits afterwards. Joe Rogan is who put Theo Von onto a bigger audience, not Brandon. Brandon Schaub owes his whole career outside of MMA to Rogan and Theo Von.

What makes Theo so special is that yes, he’s obviously very funny, but his jokes are so precise and fine tuned that it’s genuinely incredible. That joke was specifically crafted for Brendan Shaub and nobody else. You’ve (unintentionally) seen him pop up over the years and thought “there’s just something goofy looking about him” without ever pinpointing it, and then someday down the road you hear Theo Von say that it looks like he was attacked by a swarm of bees and the epiphany hits you. Dude is a navy seal sniper of comedy. 😂

@@MagnusGalactusOG He was freaked out by Bill Burr giving him shit also, if you watch most podcasts with comics they are constantly tearing the shit out of each other, because that's literally part and parcel in the world of comics. They get their material from ripping everything down and seeing what things look like afterwards. Weird how Theo has lived in that world for so long but is put off by something completely common place in that profession.
For me personally whenever Brendan starts talking I feel that same uncomfortable/nervous feeling as I did watching Gaylord Focker from Meet The Parents. It always seems like he’s trying to talk his way through a lie and there’s this weird nervousness I feel while watching his awkwardness increasing because he can’t find the exit to the next subject. It’s like a drunk man trying to find the door knob in a pitch black room. I simply can’t watch him.

Theo benefited brendans career FAR more than the other way around. To associate with Brendan after hes been revealed to, cheat on his wife, steal jokes, in general suck as a comedian is just career suicide. The most important thing is Theo doesnt owe brendan, Brendan owes Theo
This and 2 lazy are 2 of the best podcasts. Theo is on his own journey. He wishes best for all but hes continuing to evolve past the tiger belly insanity sadness Brandon and the rogan sphere. His content is openminded broad and he has some of the best guests. Bernie and trumo in one week. Hes insightful and thoughtful of his material and impact..
