Is the base game really that painful compared to HFM and using console commands? I still play base game.

Console aint that good in Vic2, its more effective to just save cheat the infamy level.

If you download the HPM dismantlement mod for HFM you get options to disable colonial railroading and for better dismantlement of nations when using the dismantle cb. I was using the HFM more stuff mod which isn't compatible with the HPM dismantlement mod. There was an option to disable colonial railroading in the HFM more stuff but its partially broken. My next upload will use the HPM dismantlement mod so I don't have that issue again.

Tuscany starts in the Austrian sphere at the start so its not as easy to get sardinia Piedmont as a puppet. You need to justify a war to take sardinia at the start but you need to rely on Austrian ai to take it, which requires austria to win the war before France is friendly with them. Then 5 years after the truce is over justify for puppet against savoy with Austrian support. France is garanteed to join so it takes even more rng for ai austria to beat ai france. You must do this war before the 1848 revolution events because austria will suck as an ally afterwards. You could also try only taking Sardinia and then colonizing land and presitge spamming to become a great power but it could take a while to get savoy out of the french sphere and savoy might still be able to railroad forming Italy if they get great power. I was using a special mini mod with HFM. Name of the sub mod should be in the description.

I got it from a website that lists sub mods. Just search up HFM more stuff and you should find it.

HFM as long as you have the dismantilement sub mod for it. In HPM it's often too easy because of the AI in hpm losing to rebels way too much.
