ugh mitski’s music is just so soulful. sometimes feels like looking in a mirror. the music video also adds so many layers to the imagery of a drunk who knows there’s a problem but is almost defeatist about their situation.

@@mendwithmere It was amazing! Thank you. To hear her voice in person and see her up close is surreal. It’s really moving. She gets very emotional and you can hear it in her voice and see it in her face. Lana wears her heart on her sleeves for sure. My daughter and I both had teary eyes.

I think the line about the bug being an angel at the bottom may be referring to I believe it’s a Mexican drink that has an actual bug in it that is said to help you have a better and become even more drunk and if you eat the bug too that’s supposed to make you even more drunk… I know for sure it’s a actual drink but I’m not totally sure if that’s what shes referring to

Hello Mere, love your reviews, I'm a Morrissey fan, do you do men's lyrics? One of my favorite songs from him is "Maladjusted" if you can maybe maybe analyze it, but his whole catalogue is worth analyzing, also there's a song I love called "all the lazy dykes" never really understood it, or "late night, Maudlin Street" or "Boxers" idk so many songs, just maybe one day do a song from him? thank you, love your work ❤
