When you are analysing the average positions of the players, you’re not pointing out the main problem. It’s the guy in the white shirt taking up the whole left hand side of the screen.

How Saka and Foden still start on the wings is beyond belief. Especially whilst Palmer, Gordon and Bowen all sit on the bench.

Southgate needs to stop picking favourites. If players aren’t performing they shouldn’t be starting. He also has 5 subs per game. Bellingham and Foden should be rotated at 10. Gordon and Palmer need to start on the wings. Swap Trent for Trippier. Swap Watkins for Kane if he isn’t having an impact. Half the team looks leggy and knackered. Use your squad Southgate!

The idea that "you can't drop Kane" or certain players is hurting England. Any player should be droppable. It impacts performance when players feel their spot is guaranteed. This is bad for team dynamics. Look at Guardiola or any top manager. He often rotates top players like Haaland and De Bruyne. This keeps them motivated and performing at their best. They can't just show up and slack off. England might not have depth in every position, but they have enough to apply this principle. It’s not about doubting Kane or Bellingham’s professionalism-they are top players. But the comfort of knowing you won't be dropped can make anyone complacent. Young players like Mainoo and Palmer show what happens when players are eager to impress. They perform because they know their place isn’t secure. Yesterday was a missed chance to implement this. If Kane, Bellingham, Saka, or Foden are out of form, Southgate sees it. He needs to put his ego aside, admit mistakes, and make changes. No manager gets it right every time, but the best know when to adapt. This has been Southgate's major flaw. As England enter the knockout stages, it’s riskier to make bold changes, but honesty about performance is crucial. Why keep mentioning Gordon and Palmer and forget that you have EZe ,Antony, Watkings, and Bowen on the bench. The last Euros best player for england was Sterling, but everytime it seems like excuses for Kane. The confusion comes from him dropping.Why should Foden, Bellingham and Kane be a 88 minutes player, why not make them a 60-70 minutes time players and bring in those young talents at the 65 minutes.

Maybe the coach has to accept his own philosophy and play with 5 defenders ,and 5 midfielders. Maybe they can still win it that way instead of trying experiments

Kane is our problem, if you haven’t got a willing runner up front, you are a million. If Bellingham is not on his game too, because of the Kane issue, then you have too change the structure. Mainoo, Cole, Watkins, Foden, Rice, and give Bellingham his preferred free role. You could even go to a back three, with two wing backs in Gordon and Saka. At least we would then have some creation, energy, speed and width, to provide greater chances on goal. Please show some balls, Southgate 🙏🏻🙏🏻

You can have all the creative players in the world trying to create goal scoring oportunities, if your striker is not in the box to score those chanses you shoot yourself in the foot. England needs to fix the ballance in the midfield so Kane does not have to fall back to help half the game. The Netherlands have the same problem with Depay not staying in front. They bring Weghorst in the 70th minute and full send it to score a goal. I feel like England does not have that plan B...

The truth is that if Kane and Bellingham played like that for Man City they would be dropped. Gareth has options but won’t make big decisions. Drop them both Gareth you’ve got hungrier players on the bench it’s why you have a squad. They’re great players but they’re not playing well. It happens just fix it. Almost as if Trent wasn't the problem, huh? Mainoo should start next game, he was decent BUT the most important change is something has to give with that LHS. You cannot have trippier and Foden, at least at the same time. It's the biggest problem (also how the defenders constantly slow the game down, allowing the opposition to reset comfortably)

These pundits are paid not to criticize Bellingham and I can't be convinced otherwise. Also the fella said the stats look like a 2-0 victory, but if you look at proper stat sites, the xG was ~0.8.

Gentlemen i said before the tournament that gareth was going to lose this for us by his inability to pick a balanced squad, team and lack of tactical nouse. Secondly kane, fowden, trent, trippier are all passengers at this level kane out of shape, fowden tactically inept in man city its peps brain and fowdens body, trent is third right back at best, trips hasnt got a left foot always cuts back. Summary if you cant get nine points in this group you’re not good enough as a manager or team.

Give these players to Sarina Wiegman and you’d see a winning side. Just look at how she turned the lionesses around, and I’m sure she could do the same for the men.. Southgate hasn’t got a clue and must go as soon as this tournament is over, which will probably be after the next game!!

Did Palmer get The Man of the Match Award. People might not like it But Kane has No Pace. Foden and Saka did Less in 3 Games than Palmer did in 15 mins today. Midfield is crying out for a Creativity Attacking Midfielder like Madisson who could pick out runners behind like Watkins would provide.

3. games, 3 inept performances. No intent to attack. Boring boring ball retention going nowhere other than side to side on half way line. Poor passing at times and expectations based on these games must be zero!

I said England made a huge mistake by not including Rashford. Based on form he wouldn’t have started but his ability to make runs behind defenders is absolutely crucial in international football and coming from the bench he definitely would have made a difference in these games. Foden needs rest too and Rashford would have been immense from the bench, all these other guys coming in aren’t really changing anything. But anyways, enjoy the mediocrity 😂.

You miss rashford , and mainoo actually changed the game . Gordon should be used on the left because you have no other wide option that side .

southgate wont let our fantastic young, skkilfull, players, play the modern game, wich is fast, attacking play, he makkes them play, negative,defensive and slow!! When you make your tactics n play slow, you bring players down to the same level as a lower skilled apponent
