PART TWO - on my dedicated Theremin RU-vid Channel here • THEREMINE DREAM II by ...
The main synths here are budget Behringer ModelD, Neutron & Brains. Sequenced by 960 Sequential Controller & Hikari Analog Sequencer respectively. The ratcheting is supplied by a mix of 2HP clocks and Ornament & Crimes Hemispheres (which also quantizes the sequences) - the ratchet bursts coming from CV provided by turning up steps rows 2 and 3 of the 960 sequential . All effects, namely ping pong delay and space reverb are provided by the lowly NTS1 (claravox has her's turned off).

Wow. Mesmerising and fascinating performance Gary. That Claravox is a really beautiful looking instrument and sounds great. The timbre of that oscillator is beautiful and compliments the semi-modular well. Genius use of CV outs ! Gestural control of filters and VCA must feel really wonderful to perform ! Love it. 🎶👏👏👍

Glad you enjoyed it Ken - yes the possibilities of CV into modular from the Theremin are endless, but rather than 'just' use it as a controller I want to explore the simultaneous aspects, theremin sound while changing aspects of modular ... also reverse CV'ing where the increase in volume of the theremin reduces elements on the modular, something more ambient in the works.

Is that a new Theremin, for some reason I always thought you had the Etherwave. This is wonderful - cool to be able to control the filter of the Model D at the same time too, very expressive

Many thanks Seb - yes I got my Claravox last week, managed to get a full exchange on the Etherwave for it. Will be doing more dual use (theremin while also controlling external gear at same time - here filter on ModelD and VCA on Neutron from each antennae)

Thanks Peter - the behringer gear is pretty budget friendly, and you can get theremins with similar capability for a $100 or so (check out OpenTheremin v4) ... learning it is another matter!

@@GaryHayes I have both a Theremini and a Claravox, just not the modular synth bank nor the practical knowledge of how to use it (yet). Concentrating on controlling my pitch on the clara currently :)

@@peterwhitehouse Sounds good Peter - both ends of the Moog theremin universe :) - you don't need a bank of synths of course the budget Berhinger ModelD can be had for $250 used and sequenced by a basic keystep keyboard, then just cables from your Clara to it to experiement.
