I just purchased and used the TP 20 S . I paid $41 including shipping on EBAY. Best $ I have ever spent. PERFECTLY cooked steaks in my house Oven. I use the REVERSE SEAR method. I am not affiliated with Thermopro etc. I did not get the Case but wish I did. You can get a nice case at Harbor Freight $ 10 (wait for a sale and even less $). Buy your steaks on Sale and then put in Zip Lock freezer bags. The sale price are often 60% of the non sale. When you want a steak just move the steak to the refridgerater. Takes 1-2 days to slowly thaw.
I just got one for Christmas too from my oldest boy and as soon as this polar vortex get's the heck out of here I'm going to try it. looking like next Saturday which is my birthday is going to be close to 60 degrees so it's going to get it's first try out.
Sorry. I understand the frustration. Mine has been going strong since I got it. Not trying to be insulting, buthave you checked the battery orientation? I've messed that up before is why I bring that up.
I set mine to well done and it was raw inside when the alarm went off. The temp is way off on the BBQ compared to what the BBQ gauge says too. You think I got one jacked up right from the box?
