New York City definitely has apartments that are weird and quirky. They are also more expensive than what you’d pay in rent anywhere else in the country. That being said, nothing is more fun than seeing these apartments up close and imagining what life inside would be like! Would you live in one of these?

My last apartment in NYC was 1500 a month, 20 years ago,. Just for fun I checked it again and it's now 4665 bucks. That would be great if the apartment actually grew up into a giant house.

My last rental apartment was a one bedroom in a third floor walk up in Brooklyn 30 years ago (two train stops to Coney Island), and I only paid $500/month before I moved. That was up from the previous $410. You must have been at least close to Manhattan.

I've been in bed, sick, for the past 2 days. I'm going to watch this and binge watch as many videos from Cash that I haven't seen, and I'm guessing that there'll be a lot. Thanks Cash for distracting me with these videos that get me dreaming of moving away, after I become wealthy from the lottery that is. I'm too old and disabled to work full time now; I've been working steadily since 1977 with a brief maternity leave, up until 2009 when I became disabled with a rare, progressive disease. These videos bring me joy and laughter and disbelief too 😅 but I'm hooked!

1st Apt- Dude, I love the private roof deck! So cool! 2nd Apt- I love the view of all the tres and all the exposed brick. I’m a sucker for exposed brick. 3rd Apt- I’m sure it’ll look dope when it’s renovated. I love the size of the unit, downstairs, and backyard space. 4th Apt- it’s so unique! IlI love the view and roof deck on this one as well. Not a fan of the sink sizes in this though. 5th Apt-My grandparents had the gold shower slide with the mirror in their house lol. The fireplace looks kinda odd. Maybe it’s just me. I love how bright it is though. 6th Apt-Again, another sick view! I love how vibrant and spacious everything looks in this one. Beautiful counter space. 7th Apt-View is clutch again! Especially the master bedroom view. Not totally sure why this is the same price as the other though. 8th Apt-I love the “illegal” backyard yo 😂. I’m not big on studios, but I actually like the size of this one. Whichever building had a gym in it is where I’d wanna live (per usual that’s my biggest draw 😂). Loved this video! Thanks Cash! You’ll have to give us an update on your the pregnancy and your wife is doing man!

So the apartment before you got the toured one, the fireplace... actually seemed to stick into the other room, which suggests that the bedroom wasn't actually there before. Watch for the corner before he looks at the rest of the bedroom. The one thing i'm still not liking, the fact that all the microwaves are for tall people. There is one where i'm at, and i have to use a 3 tier step ladder in order to clean it, well, okey 2 tier works, but to get to the upper cabinets, 3 tier. Yes, i'm short, maybe average height back in the 1600's? 5ft.

I wish I knew where that 1 bedroom apartment was other than "in Manhattan." Manhattan is a big borough with lots of very different neighborhoods. The really nice apartments Charles had were in East Harlem. True to form, it seems like the nicest apartments are in the scariest neighborhoods.

@figmo397. My son & his gf just moved from East Harlem to Kips Bay (way more “residential” area ...plus he can afford it now😆🤩) The old apt was in an OK area- not the best, but not the worst by any means. Thing is : that EH apt was A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E! Super modern, washer/dryer IN unit, & RELATIVELY affordable👍 (No doorman or elevator like Kips Bay apt thou🤣😂😭)

Finally some apartments in New York City with en suite laundry. The first 2 apartment were nice and had some character - brick walls, roof deck with scary steep stairs. I could make either of them work, just the prices. Sadly though, in most large cities rents just keep go higher and higher.

Why not just go to a laundromat? You could even pay the staff there to do your laundry for you for a couple of dollars.
@pisces3121

with the combo machine....make sure you use fabric softener to stop the wrinkles. Or immediately take them out and hang for the last little bit of dampness. A pain..but way less painful than dragging the laundry to the mat!

@terryv Год назад
If your LG combo washer/dryer is giving you damp, wrinkled clothes, you’re packing too big a load into it. If you limit your load (about a 7-hour wash/dry cycle) to two complete sets of clothes, they’ll come out dry and wrinkle-free.

Hi Cash another great video. Its cool seeing around New York. I know a lot of the wee flats were once bigger flats. Could you show one in the original size or how they are split up. The roof decks are awesome but the stairs in the first flat. You would only slip once and that would the end of the story.

I don't understand the people that don't redo the staircases. And radiated heat I will always say is so ancient why do people pay for it?
