I've been rocking the Weekenders since the beginning of October '21, and totally agree with you. Best waterproof AND breathable shoe I have ever owned. My feet were bone dry after shoveling snow and stepping in slush, etc. here in the Pac NW.
@@Kidownzus I’ve had my Weekenders for a year and they’re still as good as when I first got them I. The sense that they haven’t lost their shape, even though they’re slightly less snug, and they’re still waterproof. They’re 100% my most worn shoe. They’ve now been through the four seasons and they’re still good as new. I would say they err on the side of being a little toasty, but they’re certainly not too hot for summer or anything.
@@luciathaotran4537 they work in that you need to tie them and they can become untied like regular sneakers. However, they won’t make the shoe tighter or looser in my opinion. The top of the shoe has almost an ankle sock-sort of feeling to your ankle and is quite snug… your feet aren’t going anywhere or getting out of the shoe without making some effort. They fit kind of like a slip on laceless sneaker. However, because they’re moderately stretchy, I’d say they would be good on a variety of foot widths without worrying about needing laces to adjust. The entry to the shoe is also pretty stretchy so you don’t need to loosen your laces to get in. I’ve been wearing them daily for my second full winter in them and only actually touch the laces when they become untied. I just slip them on and off and there’s a tab to use to pull them on as well. I highly recommend. I moved out of the country and am still figuring out how to get a second pair in white.
I just wrote these shoes at work last night working outside overnight and it rained for about 6 hours straight. I was soaked but my socks were dry as a bone. These shoes are legit.
Great review. Have never heard of this shoe but it looks really nice. And of course practical which suits me fine. Definitely going to check these out.
Great Review and thanks for the promo code. Do you know how slippery are these in black ice? Id like to know if the sole behaves as a regular show (normal adherence) or as a snow boot (acceptable traction).
They don’t have wide sizes, but the material is fairly stretchy. I don’t have wide feet so I can’t really give you more information than that unfortunately
@@ChrispyThings Thanks. I just wanted to know if they made your feet hot when you weren't out in the cold. I was thinking of getting these to wear for work during the winter instead of boots. Im inside and outside 50/50 during the day.
Was this sponsored? This brand pushing it on youtube. Most hikers know that waterproof shoes are only the optimal choice for very specific use-cases. Plus, if I wanted to look like a boomer, I'd just wear New Balance and at least the zoomers wouldn't shit on my style.
