Similar with Germany. Starting 16 you are allowed to purchase. Beer, Wine etc Starting 18 you are allowed to purchase everything I don't know if there is strictly speaking a legal drinking age in Germany. Because i know for absolutely certain that there is pretty wide parental guidance margin. Sure, you can get in trouble with CPS. But for that to happen you would need a severe history of incidents. Additionally, statistically we only drink a lot when we're young and we have a comparativly low percentage of clinical alcoholics (as compared to our alcohol culture and other countries in Europe, we have fewer than Sweden per capita f.ex.), so we're doing something right, which is probably to drink so much before we turn 30 that we're just like "I'm good" lol

The reason is that north of Leningrad advance was controlled by Finland and Finland was an informal Ally to Germany in WW2, they didn't want to participate in taking Leningrad despite Germans demanding it. Finland's goal for WW2 was to take back old land and create a buffer zone. There was no desire to aid Germany with it's nutjob goals beyond whatever was beneficial to itself.

yes, the same for France, as long as the parents (or legal tutor) allows it, kids can drink. A lot of parent will actually give to their kids some small amount of wine, mostly for teaching purpose (i.e. when the kid get to 18 year, he is less tempted to drink too much unsupervised). I do not know how efficient this technique is, but it sounds reasonable. Although it is prohibited to give to your kid alcool until he get inebriated.

Like my dad always says: “Recycling is bad for the environment.” Can’t argue with my dad.

10:30 idk about switzerland or austria but in Germany the legal drinking age is 18 except for beer which is legal at 16

Wine and Beer are legal at 16, hard booze ("Spirituosen") at 18. But when the parents are around its ok to drink beer even at a lower age then 16, so even the 16 is debatable :) Long story short, Germans at 16 can buy unlimited amounts of beer and wine and get drunk without problem if they so desire :)

Michigan has a 10 cent deposit, so we turn in a LOT of cans.

Parents are legally allowed to give kids as young as 14 alcohol while they are present. Kids will drink anyway, it's best that they understand their limits in a safe environment instead of giving them a driver's license with 16 and 5 years later when they're already super comfortable with driving chucking booze at them.

Michigan being the best at recycling cans is probably because of Meijer because you get 10¢ per can
