Are these popular EDC tweezers defective? They are a great design, but it seems like I'm not the only one that received a pair that would not grip anything. Instead of sending them back I decided to fix them. It is not too difficult and now they work extremely well.

The scourge of every barber is little hair splinters. They’re impossible to ignore and a good pair of tweezers is critical. Similarly, I found the Swiss army tweezers to work better than even more expensive tweezers but they’re sooo small. Anyway, thanks for the video and tips. I’m gonna grab a dozen pairs of these tweezers to hand out to barber buddies and keep on hand.

This is amazing! After seeing the horrible reviews on Amazon I got curios and found this video. Great job and cheers!

totally disagree. Mine are pointed, they are older, and they work great at picking the slightest splinter/sliver , wood or metal out. its the points that make it great.

What I was trying to explain was mine were not pointed when I received them, they had a blunt nose because the tips were rolled under. Because of that, they had such a tiny contact point that it was impossible to pick something up. I made them sharp, extremely sharp actually and now they work perfectly. You're right, it is the points that make them great.

@@projectswithrich22 Do yours have serrations on the inside of the jaw tips? Mine are like 10-15 years old. edit: tried to locate your email, to send pics of mine under a microscope. To see if they are even close to the originals. I had thought about buying a bunch as a gift to my son and others .. if you want you can hit me at my name @gmail I'll send you a couple of photos of them. And BTW you are right, mine are not rounded over from shearing. There are machining marks, not sure how they were cut.
