I remember the first time I actually was ready to clap in sync with the intro instead of being figuratively sucker-punched by it when the video loaded. ...And they picked that one time to delay it about five seconds for a random bit. I was so mad.

AKSHUALLLY, Ray Kroc bought the rights to McDonald's after years of an exploitative partnership with the McDonald brothers, the original founders, a partnership that destroyed the brothers physically and mentally and essentially ruined their lives. @@jordancooney6817 ok, but The real reason why the machine is always "broken" is because, it probably needs to be cleaned. Usually, the cleaning of the equipment is the closing shift's job, but often times this does not end up happening, and as such, the machine needs cleaning before use. Instead of saying all that, employees say "it's broke" to just save time.
I did 7 years at McDonalds. You will find that people who have worked fast food reflect on the time spent there in a similar way that ex-cons view their time in prison.

Working at Taco Bell, all the training videos came on tapes you put into a VCR-TV & EVERY SINGLE ONE started with the guitar riff from Los Lonely Boys "How Far is Heaven" as if it was the theme song of the entire company.

when I worked at mc'dee's in the second window, they didn't train me or anything, they gave me the uniform, told me my hours, and where I was. I blame it partially on the fact that my dad worked with me, so that's why they didn't train me, but idk bad on their part lol

I worked at a grocery store and I was lucky enough because the training videos wouldn't load and so we spent five hours just talking and getting to know each other and learning the basics from a more senior member. we were all thankful and probably better off for it, I still don't know what the video looked like after working there for 3.5 years xD
I just realized that the KFC "Deal" is actually a negative discount. If you ordered the 1.99 order 3 times, it would be 5.97, not 5.99. they are charging 2 cents MORE for their "deal" Not to mention that if you pay for the worse deal, you also do not get a biscuit.
