hey kenny hyd, you should make a half season awards video, with all nba and all defensive teams, and put aside with the real ones when the season ends, appreciate your work. big fan
Did he a prediction at the start of the season for all nba teams and like predict all of those types of awards/titles. If so he could just react and see how accurate he is so far and if he should change anything now. If he hasn’t then just stick with you idea
It's not weird if anyone was paying attention to the Lakers last year Ad simply lost his hunger after winning that bubble championship his first year as a Laker was his best year he was Dpoy Candidate now he's a shell of his former self its SAD and he put up numbers in a small market like Kevin Love
As a rockets fan, I followed the narrative of Harden vs Giannis around 2019, so I thought very negatively of Giannis. Thought of him as run and dunk boy and he’d never go far as he played so reckless. Yeah. Pretty far off. Now I’m a really big Giannis fan. What a cool guy.
@@nickkreker5887 Another rockets fan, I didn’t dislike Giannis, I just disregarded him as a star. I never took him seriously until he got dat ring. Respect ✊
Harden still waiting on that ring huh? Hold these nuts Harden driders Giannis is the best player in the league and has been for years and now Harden can't win even next to KD 😭😭
I had a genuinely serious take that i thought Lauri would one day become the next KD. His sophomore year he was driving, dribbling and shooting like a guard and i went crazy w/ the hype
Lol. My take with Lauri was always "I just having a feeling that the second we trade him he's going to become an all star". The Cavs are happy with him but I don't think I'm in any danger of being correct about that one.
I’ve been pretty solid with my nba takes but one of my worst ones was wanting to trade zach lavine instead of Lauri as a Bulls fan so I feel you on the lauri hype
@@bryceaugust3329 Zach Lavine has been some of my best takes. I think it stemmed from liking the young TWolves team but actually disliking Zach. I was watching for KAT. The first time I really noticed Zach it was because he was playing awful. He had 2 or 3 travels in the same game. He just started running without dribbling...so I couldn't stand him. I thought he was just a dunker and absolutely nothing else. No skill at all. But the next year he comes in and looks like a whole new player. He's doing things he wouldn't have even attempted the year before. So I immediately switched on him...I could tell he put in a ton of work in the off-season. So when we make the traded for him and a lot of Bulls fans hated the trade, I said I think we got a really solid deal. Zach is going to be really good. He wants to be great. Then came his contract extension...and it seemed like EVERYONE hated it... The media was talking shit. I said I think it turns out to be a bargain. Zach is gonna be a star. Then Booker signed a max contract and I told everyone I would rather have Zach on his contract than Booker on a max. (I wasn't saying Zach was better...just that it was close enough that the difference in money tipped the scales for me).
“Remember this-a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop.” 2 Corinthians 9:6
Im a bucks fan, and I thought trading Eric Bledsoe, George Hill, RJ Hapton and 2 first rd draft picks for Jrue Holiday was a bad deal. But, we all know what happened and I'm am happy I was wrong. He is one of my favorite players now.
After his run with the Phoenix Suns, I thought kelly oubre would make a crazy jump during his time with the warriors and be an all star level player. Still think he’s a solid piece in charlotte but I was definitely wrong😂
I think a lot us expected him to improve with the warriors, it seems for them they stunt the growth of some players (wigs, oubre) while expanding it for others. (splash bros, draymond). Still waiting to see which category Wiseman fell into.
"duncan robinson will always be better than hierro" i said that after the 2020 RS... in just a couple of years Robinson is playing ok and Hierro has already proven me wrong
Kenny I really love how far you’ve come. You went from loving and talking about basketball and now you’re talking to legends like Shaq and Chuck. Much respect to you.
0:00 WHAT"S THE WORD Y'ALL 😤😤 0:18 Nobody is Perfect For NBA Takes 0:49 A Bad Take About The Bucks 1:40 AD > Giannis Take 2:37 LaMelo Ball Take 3:20 Suns Chris Paul Trade 4:21 Jokic Become Awesome Take 5:51 Lebron Free Agency Decision Take 8:06 People Thought CP3 Was Starting To Fall Off... 8:38 Jimmy Butler Zach Lavine Trade 10:20 Zo and Caruso Takes 10:54 Klay Thompson Injury 11:33 Scottie Barnes to Raptors and Kings Take 12:36 Freddy and Ben Simmons Take It was really hard to pin each timestamp, and I would really recommend my channel where I make NBA stories, short stories, and anything NBA
@@jakecollen1776 The narrative told by the media was that Giannis flamed out, but did you watch those games? He did not fall apart. And his last game he played injured and was a MONSTER until he hurt himself again mid game and was out for the season, not a single person talked about that, go look it all up and tell me if it's his fault they lost. Plus: he had the entire Heat defense(at its peak) focusing ONLY on him, it was five against one, AD didn't had that.
I did lol. AD was a dude who could play DPOY defense, catch lobs, and stretch the floor. For a bit it made sense to have AD over Giannis… But no since AD can’t shoot or play physically, hindsight is 20/20. Still, the take was wrong at the time too. Giannis been great
WaszAQawaa1wa that a bad take? Were it not for injuries, at least half of that prediction definitely could have happened. The 2021 Lakers were phenomenally built, they just were never healthy and didn't get a chance to develop chemistry.
My worst take being a celtics fan. In the 2017 draft I was sold on the Celtics drafting josh Jackson with the third pick because of his defense and that is what the Celtics have needed in the past 5 years. When the Celtics picked Tatum I was so angry and thought it was a terrible pick. Now looking back on that, obviously it was a way better pick with Tatum being one of the better players in the league and Jackson not doing so hot
My best take: I had 2019 Murray State going to the Sweet 16 because of their superstar ascendant PG who wasn't getting recognized (I'm from Memphis and Murray isn't far and a kid from my HS (Cameron Payne) played there so we knew who they were. Even though they didn't make the Sweet 16, I was right about that player. During the Murray State vs Marquette game I called my friend and told him "My god, if the Grizzlies (my local team) draft this kid, it'll be so amazing". We all know who that guy is and how he's doing now
My bad take was one that became true, but when it did I realized that I couldn't have known why I was right. The take was the the bucks would beat the nets last year, and imo this brings up a very good point that you can be right, but your take was wrong.
Kenny, at the end of the season you should do your all NBA first, second, and third team, but only with kenny for real all stars. Call it all KeNBA teams.
I still have the Snapchat of when the Cha Hornets (my city) drafted Lamelo. It was captioned “absolute pain” cause I wanted wiseman so bad and was very certain Lamelo wasn’t gonna live up to the hype. I stand very far corrected and Lamelo has become one of my favorite players to watch
Mine was that I thought Victor Oladipo would be competing for the best Shotting Guard in the league with James Harden after his Most Improved Player. My bad prediction this season was that I thought Lonnie Walker was gonna be the MIP 😂
Idk why but I thought that the sixers team from a couple of years ago would be the NBA champions. Horford was still good on the celtics the year before and was seemingly the only person who could've stopped Embiid and the Harris contract while expensive was what I thought was exactly what they needed. I thought that Fultz would become what was advertised of him when he was drafted. Turns out Horford was still the only guy that could stop Embiid.
The guys take on the kings, I thought the exact same way about them. I also thought la melo would be a bust and that the Suns wouldn’t be contenders. Funny how a lot of these tasks were common back then but age so poorly now
I used to think that Ben Simmons and Embiid had the potential to be a dynasty. Like if Hakeem and Bron played together maybe slightly toned down of course that was contingent upon Ben actually improving
i dont think any of the Ben Simmons takes are necessarily "bad" takes yet considering Ben still has tremendous potential, the dude just refuses to work rn tho. every Sixer fan has been saying if he works on his offensive game he'll be elite and he just refuses to do it
When I first started watching NBA i had a fantasy season with friends where I traded my Kevin Love for their Carlos Boozer, to this day I still hear about it
Aaron Holiday would be a 15+ PPG scorer and a good starter (sort of what Reggie Jackson has been this year) Still playing well in limited minutes for Washington, and I still believe in him, but it looks unlikely he’ll reach that level.
Hot Take for this season: Ben Simmons will be a Bull. Patrick Williams and Coby White will be involved in the trade as well as that portland pick. It will be a three-team trade, with the Bulls being the surprise third team to get Ben Simmons, giving them depth at the 4 that they so desperately need. With Ben Simmons, they add a Defensive 1st team caliber player to the lineup, plus Ben will have shooters all around him and his ability to run on the fastbreak with Zach, Lonzo, and Demar will make the Bulls easily the Championship favorite after the trade happens. PG: Lonzo, Ayo, Dotson SG: Zach, Caruso, Thomas SF: DeRozen, Brown Jr PF: Simmons, Jones Jr, Green (Javonte still gets lots of PT) C: Vooch, Bradley
I thought CP3 was gonna have a bad season and would fall out of discussion as a top pg when he was traded to OKC. I wrote him off but he really showed how wrong I was. I had faith in Ntilikina to be our second all star in NYC with Porzingis 😂
Kenny can we have your thoughts on how the Rockets deal with Wall. He wants a buyout but doesn’t want to take a pay cut. He still has a player option so there’s a chance we won’t see him play till 2023.
Some i got right: I still remember predicting Luka should have gone first in the draft because i watched him kill it in euro league with Madrid, i watched some Trae young highlights but thought he was overrated till he shut me up against the Knicks. I always knew Giannis is better than AD, i was very skeptical when he resigned his contract with the Bucks but i knew he'll win a chip but just needed time, I said Ja Morant should have gone first. Ant-Man will be a star. Those i got wrong: felt LaMelo ball was overhyped, Suggs should have gone over Scottie Barnes little did I know, jahlil Okafor will be a star, Lavine will be a bust. Current predictions, i said Nets will lose to Bucks, Ben Simmons needs a change of scenery, Lakers will struggle to make playoffs
Ones I got right Luka being a star Lamelo being a star Ones I got wrong: Knox being a 20ppg scorer Giddey not doing well this year but I was wrong already Ones I think can become true but are wrong Rn: Poku I reckon can be top 10 in the league or close to it. Bol Bol can be an absolute star. Theo could be a solid sixth man or even good starter
Can you do a video based on rumors to change aspects of some teams? Like maybe a team wants to make a logo change or a uniform change or even a relocation
I’m a huge Kansas fan and I could tell he was legit. He’d find his teammates on Oklahoma WIDE open and they’d just miss. Always had really high bbiq, good handles, and could shoot. Biggest issue was always defense due to his size. I get that people were down on him due to size.
After goin to 3 ECF in 4 years I was for sure that the celtics would have made a finals run or be running the east like the pistons did in the early 2000s. Let's all take a good laugh while I go cry in the corner 😂
Here’s a hot take. Klay won’t have the impact people think he will when he gets back. What made him so amazing was his ability to move without the ball. Coming off of two torn acl’s he wont be able to do that as well as before Edit: *acl and Achilles
I wouldn't be surprised if he's not the all Star he was before the injury, but even then, just with him being on the court may help the team as the players know what he could do, so they'll gaurd him, leaving a little room for curry to do his thing better.
His defense might be what takes a hit the most. Because with Curry and Dray on the floor he's still gonna get easy open looks. And he's probably been practicing his shot even more since he couldn't do much else for a big part of the rehab 🤷🏽♂️ he's one of my favorites though so maybe I'm super optimistic lol
"Who in this draft class is this years Jokic?" May I remind you of a certain turkish center who's game and talent resembles a lot of Jokic in Alperen Sengun
This is a genuine blast to the past I could see a ton of these takes being viable BACK THEN, and it’s crazy how things have changed. Still sad af about the klay one tho
I thought jahlil Okafor would be an Allstar I thought fultz would bounce back and be an Allstar after his rookie year. I thought lamelo would be trash. I also thought lebron would have transitioned fully to a point guard after 2020 and ad would be the clear cut best player on the team and lebron would be a 20p 10a 6r player
As a Heat fan my favorite bad takes were from Sixers fans saying that the Jimmy Butler contract would age terribly and that the Heat would go nowhere with him while the Sixers would be competing for the finals
My bad takes I thought the bucks would win 2015 champ I thought the bucks would win 2016 champ I thought the bucks would win 2017 champ I thought the bucks would win 2018 champ I thought the bucks would win 2019 champ I thought the bucks would win 2020 champ
My bold prediction rn is that 1. When klay comes back, warriors will go on a losing streak(small one) and the fans will be buzzing to trade him, but then klay will have a massive game(40+ points) and it will put warriors back to winning ways. 2. Raptors will make it the second round of eastern conference playoffs.
Every time a player joins Lebron's team, with the exception of Kyrie who was already at Cleveland and AD at the bubble, has had their worse season with Lebron (Derrick Rose, Deron Williams, Melo, Kevin Love, etc) It isn't because these players are bad. It's because everyone becomes worse under the Lebron system. Look at his teammates stats before and after joining Lebron's either in Cleveland or LA. MOST of them had worse stats after joining Lebron's team 💯
Kenny u should do a video look at who won trades long term for example the Zach levine jimmy butler trade…..or look at the PG trade to the OKC thunder see wat they have now as a result of those trade and look who won…. Or the spurs trading derozan for khawi
In my 2k19 career Dennis Smith Jr eventually went to the Pistons and became a multiple time all star. He always averaged 19-25 and for over a decade the Pistons were always in the playoffs with a bunch of 50+ win seasons.
the crazy thing abt klay is that he hasn’t played since i was heading into my freshman year of highschool… i’m now headed into 2nd semester of junior year
I'm an OKC fan and an Australian so when they took Josh Giddey at pick 6 I was very happy, but at the same time I thought that we could've got something better, or if we really wanted him we should've traded down. But so far I am very happy with the pick and how Giddey has played. I have faith in Sam Presti.
I don't know about my Bad takes But I have 1 that I was right about from a previous season and a bold one for this one, Back when we came back to the bubble in Orlando I thought that the Lakers were taking it easy when we were losing and they were and turned it to Eleven when the play-offs started and I think it's the same thing now they want to take it easy and keep an alright record and then turn it on towards the end when Everyone is Healthy and get number 18
I was skeptical when he resigned his contract but i said he'll go crazy in one playoffs and win the chip, people 😂 now I'm laughing back at them😀 i feel he'll finish with 3 chips when he retires
Pls make video about hawks. They struggling rn cuz of covid and lackluster supporting performance around trae. Trae been playing at mvp levels but can’t be in the convo cuz the team. Kinda like bron this year.
Hey Kenny I'm a big fan My Bold prediction was that Kris Dunn was going to be a top 10 pg in the league Or at least a top 5 best defensive guard in the league
i gotta go with jarrett allens contract when i called it a massive overpay for a team drafting a center aswell as garland going to be a bust, so got a double bad take cuz cleveland
