I just wanting to say u have influenced me and my friends. We started our own nba podcast after seeing all your content across all channels, including through the wire. And I’m bulls fan as well so u are truly inspiration of mine. Keep up the great work Kenny!!
@@MagnusJonesMusic If y’all want to listen to the podcast it’s called The Niner Sports Podcast. It’s on Spotify and I’m Josh if anyone wants to know which person on the pod I am.
My bold predictions going into the season were: Kevin Porter Jr becoming an all star (not looking too good) Lonzo leading the league in assist (not looking good either) Derozan being in the MVP running (not too bad) The warriors and Knicks being lottery teams (have both aged terribly) Definitely shouldn’t go into sports analysis 😂
My bold prediction was saying the Warriors would be the 1st seed and everyone was saying the Warriors would struggle till Klay would come back and look at us now even without Klay
My prediction for their start was 13-3 through the first 16 and 16-4 through 20. Suffice to say nobody agreed with me and even I turned out to be under the mark. That being said, I also predict their record will be worse once klay comes back and they’ll end as the 2-3 seed (not because of Klay, but because the schedule gets much tougher in the second half). Here’s hoping I’m still under predicting
How can you say that a player’s hype will “run out” when he was a back to back MVP? At that point, it’s not even “hype” it’s just straight up respect for greatness.
With Curry healthy and a season of him building chemistry with the team last season, I’m pretty sure everyone knew warriors was Gon do good this season.
@@Tech-cy9yo Good old Tech. The salty Nets fan who just goes to every Warriors video and hates on Steph. Chief, go outside and touch some grass. It'll do you so much good.
My bold prediction before last season was that warriors were gonna finish with the best record in the league when Klay comes back. But then he tore his Achilles so I postponed it to this season but it wasn’t as bold cuz they got better in the offseason lol lol Edit: also said they were going 70-12. That also seems likely this season 🧐🤣
Yo Alex and Lonzo are really those boys. As a raptors fan I’ve really been enjoying them as were rebuilding rn 😅 Got tickets for the week before Christmas 🔥
My bold prediction was DeMar making a comeback. He never left, but coming from San Antonio, he wasn't getting the recognition. As a raps fan, this is the DeRozan we know ❤️
My bold prediction; 76ers will trade Ben Simmons in a 3 team trade and receive 1 near all star and 2 rotational players (no all stars). They will also finish top 4 in the east regardless of trades.
@@generalwoofles6240 I can agree with that as well; I honestly think with how he acted and his mental state he could potentially do a short term retirement and potentially never come back due to his mental game being so weak.
When Zion was drafted I predicted he would become the next Greg oden due to his weight and injuries and I get proven right more and more every day. Also I predicted the bulls would immediately become contenders after their offseason moves, although I’d say that’s a less hot take, many still doubted it.
Sorry but you’re not right about the Zion part. Greg Oden never had that All Star Season like Zion did. And you can’t say he would become the next Greg Oden when we haven’t even seen him play this season. You’re jumping the gun.
My predictions at the end of the last season was the next finals would be bucks vs warriors. Not super bold but it’s cool to see the warriors doing well
@@matthewsemenoff72 idk, from my perspective back then, the bucks just won a championship and their main competition from repeating their trip to the finals are the nets. It isn’t like the nets all of a sudden stopped being injury prone so I saw no reason bucks couldn’t get back. Curry was playing phenomenal last season individually and with klay back I just thought I trusted that more than an aging Lebron and inconsistent AD. There are other teams in the west that have a great shot too this is just what I thought at the end of last season
I said the Bulls would be a top 5 team in the league, not East, league. And so far I’m pretty satisfied with how things turned out after how many people clowned me and Derozan
Hey Kenny no bold prediction but I do have a question that I would like ur opinion on. As a heat fan I was wondering where u think Tyler herro ranks among shooting guards if u only look at what everyone has done this season
My bold prediction was that Giannis would be fully unleashed after breaking the title barrier last year and that he'd win MVP and Milwaukee would repeat as champs and he'd win back to back finals MVPs
I have harden in fantasy, that harden take was scarily accurate lmao. Realistically we should’ve seen it coming though, at least with the rule changes aspect
@@reimixo morant, kyrie , pg13 , cp3 , devin Booker, donovan, curry, dame, Bradley beal , jaylen brown, luka, Fox, westbrook , derozan/lavine, thats a lot more than 10 my boy , people like to say harden is an allstar still but thats because they look in the past,as were speaking harden has a worse season than all of these guys mentioned above
@@reimixo ok cp3 might be a reach but he is still more valuable and efficient rn , harden fg sucks and he has like 10 turnovers per game ... and lets say ur right there are still like 9 guard better than him lol , just admit harden is washed up , the reason the nets are relevant is cauze kd is the best rn and kyrie makes then unstoppable
My hot take about Harden is that he is deferring the ball to KD to much, which might sound crazy but hear me out. Harden last year and every year before new that he could score the ball, (I mean he was averaging crazy numbers when he first got to Brooklyn, and all though he only finished with 25ppg last year, he averaged 10 assist, and still had a lot of those crazy games) yet whenever he and KD are on the floor together, Harden and everyone else on Brooklyn trues to force feed KD the ball, when that is unnecessary. KD doesn’t need the ball to be impactful, and he also doesn’t need many shot attempts/dribbles to average KD like numbers. The offense should be ran through Harden, and he should have the ball in his hands most times. Especially when KD isn’t on. There has been too many times this year where Harden is on, but differed to KD and KD just couldn’t score with all the defensive attention on him. The Nets are trying to make Harden a Jrue Holiday to Kd, where in reality, just let Harden score. These are the TWO greatest scores of our generation, and arguably two top five of all time in scoring. So stop just making KD score and let Harden take control when he needs to. And remember KD can work with ball dominant guards…He’s done that his whole career, however Harden doesn’t work if Harden can’t control the ball. Once Brooklyn figures that out, they’ll be the overwhelming best team in the East (kind of another hot take in itself).
Bold take for the rest of this season: John wall gets traded to the knicks in a kemba deal and the knicks become a top 5 seed, and lose in the 2nd round
bc he loves basketball so much that he decided to be able to watch and talk about it for a living. Great for him to pursue a career based on his natural interests.
Last season when it started I said bucks in 6 . One of my main reasons for saying that was depth , I saw devinchenzo ( sorry if I spelled that wrong ) as a very vital role player and I saw their defense was going to be enough to get the bag . My only concern was Brooklyn in the off season but man I’m not going to lie when I saw kyrie And harden go down something in my body knew that when I started the season by saying bucks in 6 … my dream was becoming a reality … And I’m so fucking happy for giannis
Wizards will come within 2 games of making the Finals. They’re honestly the 2nd deepest team next to the Warriors and they still don’t have Thomas Bryant and Rui Hachimura back yet.
@@Claviceptic it’s true though. And I wasn’t trying to say it in a rude way, I was saying in a joking tone but everyone knows the wizards aren’t making it to the ECF
My hot take was that I was very high on the bulls going into this season. I was tryna tell my friends that they would be a problem in the east but nobody wanted to listen. I loved the combination of lonzo and Zach in the backcourt and demar derozen is a super underrated star. Still though I didn’t expect them to be as good as they have been. New hot take: bulls are coming out of the east and are gonna upset a lot of big teams in the playoffs
Honestly with giannis I see sorta a similar route with him and Kareem. They'll both with one championship with the bucks and then he'll win a bunch more with one other team because he's loyal
Bold prediction: warriors don't make the playoffs and steph asks for a trade"..👀🤣 Reality: Warriors are 18-2 and they are whoppin every teams ass and chef curry is serving it to em on a golden plate.
I said Steph would take over the league and officially be the face of the NBA. This was a couple of months after the finals and everyone called me delusional saying Giannis and KD will be the two best players and that no one will talk about Steph. Now if you look at the numbers, rating, and stats. Steph is clear of everyone right now 🤷🏽♂️
@@BrianSmith1993 Without a doubt. Better Shooter, Better Passer, Better Play maker, Impacts the Game more, More Explosive scorer, and is surprisingly playing better defensive… How in the hell could you put KD above Steph.
@@firstnamelastname-ko3ge KD is a 7 foot Steph Curry with better defense. Curry will always lack on the defensive end and dunking the ball lol but on a serious note KD is his only weakness. You can stop Curry or get under his skin with a lockdown defender and make him have a bad shooting night but nobody can stop KD . Man's is a cheat code of all cheat codes imo.
@@firstnamelastname-ko3ge I want to see Curry in the playoffs without KD and then we shall see if Curry can deliver when it matters and hopefully against a HEALTHY opposing team.
my hot take is that the suns will stay the 1 seed and be what the jazz were aiming for; an all nba 1 2 punch a, viable third option, and a good all around supporting cast
4:30 I don't even know about that, on PG there are players like Trae or Lamelo, on SG Lavine and Beal I'd currently pick over Harden for the allstar team.
i was low key thinking the same about the warriors. ik klay would come back at some point but i didnt see a lot of improvements from a roster that scraped into the play in other than 2 not super ready rookies. gp||| being a mvp was not expected
My hot take for the season was that Michael Porter Jr. wouldn't win MIP, and he wouldn't be anywhere near the conversation, and that turned out to be true for now. But im pretty sure its gonna stay the same. My reasoning was that someone who people expect to improve wont win the award over someone who comes out of nowhere and improves drastically. Also I didnt really see MPJ improving that much over last season (but I didnt see that massive regression in stats either)
Hot take 20 games in: Ben Simmons gets traded for John Wall. Simmons’ numbers actually improve, while Wall has a full bounceback year as a second option and helps lead the Sixers to the Finals alongside Embiid.
