Notes: Skills Breakdown 1. Free Consultation How you can help for free? Teach clients about their problems, why they should care, and understand what matters to them. 2. Sales Closing calls and selling via messaging (apply this to your copywriting) 3. Client Management Anticipate the future needs of your clients (If your clients ask you something, ask yourself why they needed to bring this up, why couldn't you cover this beforehand?) 4. Understand Business Models Expand the ways you can build businesses and make money 5. Personal Branding The associations people make with you. When you go wrong - You make content about yourself. Framing you as the focus (the main character or hero), rather than the audience. Instead align with your readers/audience's goals, needs and wants. This includes: 1. Catagory association 2. Best in the category or focus on something specific within the category 1. Use your expertise + experience as context to provide an example, to drive a point that matters to the reader. 2. You're not important (don't frame the content focused on you). You're here to help the reader/audience Final Lesson: Mentors are the fastest way to outgrow those you look up to. Writing is only one part of the skills you need to be successful and effective. You can be both an exceptional writer and earn a lot of money, it just takes time to develop those skills. Hope this helped!
These new videos are amazing. Love this style where you just sit and educate. Feels a lot like what Hormozi has been doing for the last 2 months and I love it.
Dude… this genuinely couldn’t have come at a better time. I kept thinking “I have to improve my writing”. But, I think my writing is pretty decent. What I should be focusing on is hopping on more sales calls, or getting a sales 9-5 and just learn how to market myself. Thanks Nicolas!!
"It's a new skill and I didn't like the fact that I was bad at it." That's me when it comes to trying anythig new. Great video. I'm in PGA and granted, this is repeat info, but I like the way you presented it. I think the the branding info ws new, and I really got something out of that.
thank you for yet another gem-packed video. I am an account manager - and it never crossed my mind to apply my skills to writing. This just blew my mind and made me see things from a whole new angle. I cannot thank you enough for all the value you provide.
Getting better at writing is only one part of the puzzle 🧩 Getting better at pitching the service effectively is the main thing. Learning of these (Writing + Sales + Offer Creation + Funnel Building) will make you valuable! Always waiting for these long-form videos. Thanks, Cole 🙌
That first conversation you shared with your boss - it feels so mindset shifting for me right now - I can't explain - I feel like I am seeing reality as it is. Thank you Cole.
Great content! These new videos are the best you've ever produced-honest and straightforward. However, when you claim that your products are #1 on the internet, where does this data come from? Every creator believes their products are number one, but if everyone is in first place in their category, then no one truly is, as only one can hold the top spot. I’m curious whether the statistic is accurate or just a matter of self-promotion.
Hey Cole, Greetings from Canada, congrats on the move to Arizona, envy you for that. Really enjoying your content. Right now You, Ali Abdal and Alex Hormozi are my favorite talking heads. You guys are all talking about entrepreneurial skills which is something I really want to learn about. Right now, I’m just absorbing it all in, not sure which high value skill I want to monetize right now. I finished Ship30 not to long ago, really enjoyed it and for sure changed the way I see content creation. Really liking how you said you want to help us, the viewers reach our goals and how you want to answer all my questions, trust me I have a bunch. It would be really cool if you took a page from the Hormozi playbook and provided insane value and made a video explaining the PGA framework in a more barebones, skeleton way. Like explain from A-Z the steps but without giving away too much of course. I say this because I’m interested in it, but I can’t find much content about what’s in it, And I wanted some free value before taking the plunge. Anyways thanks for the content, love seeing new videos, keep at it.
hey nicholas! i love your youtube content :) been following you on twitter but your videos are much better in terms of value. a suggestion to improve them might be color grading or getting better lighting on your videos. hope that's helpful :)
Hi Nicolas, just wondering, do you need to use your phone a lot for work as an online copywriter, or can I do everything on a laptop? I'm talking contacting clients, upfront cost deals etc. (I want to minimise my phone usage as much as possible especially for work) Please let me know. Cheers! Love from England
@@nicolascole77 so even cold outreach doesn't require a phone? Are you saying I don't need a phone at all for copywiting? And I can do everything just with a laptop?
Although I am not a dangerously profitable writer I am in fact a deadly dangerous writer. These are in fact two different sKill sets. Do you need a reading list?
