@disneypretzels Yeah, that looked hideous. You're not going to taste anything but cinnamon, and you're going to feel the gritty texture, too. Plus, cinnamon and strawberries? I'm open-minded when it comes to food, but I don't care for the combination myself.
@@MyHealthyDish no. Please explain to me why you think it's more convenient about cutting up strawberries!? the night before any fruit prep is so easy. As pastry chef in my eyes your making things harder for yourself.
I could never get behind the whole overnight oats thing. I tried, but I just couldn't get over the texture and "raw" taste. I much prefer quick oats or Malt O Meal, they only take like a max 3 min to cook and taste vastly better imo 💜
most people in the comments are not understanding that this type of preparation isnt for everyone and there's a reason for doing it this way, if it doesn't work for you then simply don't do it! it's not my first pick bc of the texture but i've done this for when i know i'll be rushing the next day or when I'm just bored honestly, thanks for the tip to separate them all :) will be finding a container like this!
It's not uneccessary I don't war breakfast before work so I take it to work but I can only eat like 5 hours after packing my lunch and 5 hours is enough time for it to get soggy even if you added the toppings in the morning
@@carree645 don't have to be so brash and rude. at least she puts effort in making a video, editing it, and thought it would benefit others. and you're here just talking down on someone.
that looks so good.. this is like my craving all the time. Dont know what it is but ever since decades ago when I had yogurt granola and fruit I just cant get enough same with oats
I still need to try this, but first I need these meal prep containers 😂 Being a housewife, I have the time to make food but not the motivation so I try to make food that I can have for leftovers throughout the week but I really want to start meal prepping! Your videos make it seem so simple!
I love overnight oats. It looks like there’s a few people trying to roast you, I really like your content. So I don’t get why they’re doing it. I think you’re sweet.
I literally just made overnight oats by throwing everything in there like I normally do😅 I don’t mind the soggy toppings becuz I generally just mash my banana into it and add some berries and nut butter so it’s okay if they’re soft💀 I’ll have some nice porridge when I need to leave my house at 6 tmr morning😍🥰🥰
The point of overnight oats is to allow it to ferment a little bit to make it more digestable. There’s something called bircher müsli or swiss oatmeal and it is regarded as a healing food.
Plus it's cold and in winter I want warm. Put oats in bowl with boiling water in the morning, cover with pot lid or plate so oats steam cook in around 10 minutes, adding Greek yoghurt and berries or/and half avocado. Nice warm breakfast or snack during winter 😊 you're welcome
I do the overnight part in a pan, then pan is ready to heat on the stove in the AM. Then they are cooked well quicky. Add fruit & nuts and anything else you like.
I didn't know so many people hated overnight oats! I couldn't stand the texture of warm oatmeal my whole life until I tried cold oats. They soak up the liquid but are still slightly chewy 🥰 changed my life haha
Uhh u know u can just make the oats in a separate container in the fridge and cut the berries in the morning and add the nuts it’s not very complicated tbh
Those glass compartment containers are awesome. I use the bigger part for my salad and the smaller portion for my protein and/or side/fats, dressing etc. And everything stays fresh.
I almost always use frozen berries on mine. I like the extra bit of "juice" they leave on top, and then I can put roasted seeds on top, which never goes soggy for me. Or maybe put the seeds in a container next to the one with the overnight oats, which I find is making this easier to put in my bag.
You should try blending your oats while they are dry. It's so much better that way it makes the oats more creamy in the morning it's almost like cake batter when you do it that way. I tried it and will never go back to not blending my oats! All you have to do is throw them in a food processor or blender (while they are still dry is the easiest way) and blend them till they are chopped up and do the rest like normal.
