Loose dresses don't have to be ugly. Any dress can be ugly if it's an ugly dress. Loose dresses that fall nicely are never out. There are all sorts of styles of them. Your comment made me think of all kinds of cultural and geographic factors that might contribute to what kind of clothing people perceive as attractive/appropriate. Lorette: -1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon brought to a boil as a tea cooled to whatever temperature you prefer and consumed daily- A soup mug suits this well. No dieting required. I discovered this accidentally while bringing my long term sugar down. My internist had failed for 9 months to get the long term blood sugar down. I got on the examination room scale one January and started the cinnamon tea. My goal had nothing to do with weight loss. However, since my buttons started buttoning better, I got back on the same scale in April. I had dropped 30 pounds while hardly noticing. My internist freaked out. My blood sugar was back to fine. My internet says 1 pound of weight loss a week is safer. I stopped taking Rx and now control lab values with herbal teas -- for 8 years. Teas have all kinds of trace vitamins and trace minerals. Belly fat is usually insulin resistance. It took me 5 years to wean myself off flour and starchy vegetables. Those are just like eating candy bars. Eating any kind of yogurt goes straight to belly fat, but Greek yogurt is my ice cream & cheese cake substitute. If you continue eating what you are eating, that fat is going to spread. Your arms and legs for now are using up calories. You don't vary trunk movements much, so those cells hold as much as they can. Then the sugar saturated blood and urine. Gums start bleeding out sugar the body can't hold. Eventually, dialysis becomes an issue and toes dying. I prefer to keep my toes.

I finally gave up and just started wearing clothes that fit me, feel comfortable and looks good on my body. I really like tops cut waterfall style because they cinch and show off your breasts but hides mid-section well. For special occasion, I gravitate towards dresses with an umpire waist for the same effect. One day, My boyfriend suggested a high waist skirt with a bandeau and I actually loved the look. A-line skirts & dresses flatters every body types. Most importantly, Don’t be afraid to try clothes on, mix and match, and have fun.

I disagree with much of what you said. Slim fitted capri pants with a heel can be very flattering. A large print blouse needs to be paired well and styled correctly but is also very flattering. Take the bold print blouse, pair it with slim cut capris and a stiletto around 2.5”, belt the blouse and add a duster or trench/blazer. The “shapeless” dress you chose was wrinkled and not styled correctly.

Can we stop this whole conversation about women always must look younger and need to be afraid of aging? It’s dumb, especially in a time where it’s trendy now to dress like it’s 1994 lol. There’s nothing wrong with capri pants, shapeless dresses or bold prints. A lot of this is dependent on your body type and personality/style. I want to be beautiful to me and me only, and I don't care what others want. No one else lives in my skin 24/7, so why should I care if others like what they see? I hate capri pants. Especially because of my body type. My legs are fuller and starting to develop fluid retention. So I prefer shorts or dress pants or a longer skirt/dress. Oh, and I always shrink visually in the only pair of capri pants I own. As for the wide fluid dresses... I guess it depends. I don't like the shorter ones. I see women wearing those and I often end up seeing their underwear. But if they are abour knee length or longer, they can look cute. Preferably in a model that hints at where the waist is. Pockets are always welcome. For me, I just add white sneakers and I'm out the door. Prints are sneaky. So many loud prints out there. If the rest is one colour and you add a print... you can make it work. But chose wisely. Some prints just end up hiding in your closet.

I don't wear a lot of accessories, so the loud prints give my outfit some personality. Subtle or absent patterns look really dull on me. I could buy jewelry to spice it up, but I don't particularly like wearing it, so loud florals it is.

Or just wear what makes you happy!💖

People should wear what they like and that THEY feel comfortable in and like…not dress to make someone else happy …why do people care what others wear…you say wearing something makes a person look older…i say that talking smack about what others wear makes you look snobbish. People are much more than what they look like on the outside.

I like how you can be lighthearted about a video that doesn't align with your choices in clothing, without getting all up in arms and rude like so many people in these comments. That's a sign of confidence and goodwill!

How fortunate for me that I was not trying to impress you or anyone else. I don't much care how it makes me look, I care how I feel. Guess what? I AM OLD! It isnt a sin.

What's the comment on the white lace blouse, good or not? I love it. It seems short enough and not a tunic.

Bad advice..it depends on the size and height of the person wearing the clothing. Some people can carry off wearing these outfits. Not everyone looks good in the same clothes

No one looks good in capri pants. Not one body shape pulls it off.

This is all very silly. Wear what you like. Don't be afraid to simply be yourself. It's attractive. .

I bought two shapeless dresses. They were comfortable, but in pictures I looked older and heavier. You are so right.
