Vera Nothdurft. Hi Vera. I have been watching this channel for a couple of years now and I'd be happy to tell you what I know. Viktor is not a vet; he is the heart and soul of his own rescue (although he seems very familiar with medical fluency and terminology). He used to rescue dogs in Turkey; he's back in Spain for a few years now. He takes animals that have been victims of extreme cruelty or that just have extreme medical needs that the owners won't treat/can't afford to treat or that regular vets say are hopeless cases or too difficult to treat. Sometimes the animals aren't owned, but are harmed and left to die in the fields or even to wander around in the small towns. Anyway, the white house is just that - a *white* house where the dogs that have been fully medically treated live in an actual home environment until they are adopted. Nancy had a broken back, she now walks and plays. Dickens is the furry, gray dog in the wheelchair; he was paralyzed and full of maggots. After he recovered to the fullest extent, he was adopted by a family, but they were grandstanding for publicity and "didn't have time" for him and returned him. Dickens was very attached to the child in the family and was heartbroken when he was returned, so that's what I meant in my original comment about him regaining his mental health. Such are the dogs and cats in his care. Viktor uses a vet hospital called Valencia Sur to treat all of these animals; the hospital has many, many doctors in the various specialties and sometimes they fly in doctors from other countries. Recently, there was a specialist from Italy! Viktor provides MANY, MANY updates on each animal and we see their progress firsthand. Then, when they are adopted, he makes videos of the trips he or his brother makes to take them to their new homes. The essence of this channel is the fundraising it provides for each animal. RU-vid demonitizes the videos that are graphic, which is why Viktor set up the Patreon page a number of months ago for people to donate a small monthly amount to replace the funds lost from RU-vid. I have seen innumerable cats and dogs (and even a rabbit) one after another after another after another that Viktor has saved; he's restored the health of each one and found them wonderful homes! He works tirelessly in this effort, harder than I've ever seen anyone work and I was heavily involved as a volunteer in a Humane Society here in the US, so I've seen some dedicated people. I am completely devoted to this channel and to his cause. I have seen all these things with my own eyes, cried tears of sadness and joy and felt gratitude beyond words in my own heart. Every animal's life is extremely important to me and I stand steadfast in the belief that each deserves EVERY possible chance to live a full life. If you also believe this, I encourage you to stay with this channel and keep watching, because you will also find friendship, camaraderie, and mutual support within the wonderful, tight knit community that return here each and every day. I know this is a long answer to your question, but there was no "short" way to immerse you in the wonders that happen here! :-)
