These guys are spoiled..... There was once a time that the USGA set up the Open course so that EVEN par (or very close to it) would win the US Open. I remember +2 winning one year.
Seems like no one wants to say the greens are shit and poorly maintained. They're hard because they stopped doing their job a couple of days early. Don't believe me, how do you make hard fast greens.....stop maintaining them.
That video was very very misleading I believe. The course is not at open conditions when he played, the stimpmeter was probably running around 9-10 compared to the 13.5 they’re running right now for the open. Makes people believe Horvat belongs on the tour.
