Mega Swampert is gonna be demonic whenever it returns with its new buffs from gen 8 and gen 9 like flip turn and knock off, as well as just having a better stab in liquidation. Mega pert is going to be bonkers whenever it is legal in a new gen
Let's hope Swampert's hidden ability to be changed, cause, why Game Freak people were thinking on giving him Damp? He should have Swift Swim or Rain Dish instead.
*In Stone Cold Steve Austin's voice:* OH HELL YEAH!! I knew from the moment I saw Mudkip I knew he would be an amazing partner to have. So when I got Alpha Sapphire, I went in dry (no pun intended) on Mudkip unaware he would be my best buddy, Bubbles. So dry in fact that I didnt know he had a Mega until I got his stone from Steven. And to put it bluntly, Mega Swampert is absolutely unreal. The bad part was I never knew what his Mega ability was until around 2 months later when I realized I could check mid battle, and was at first disappointed when it was Swift Swim. Then it clicked. In the rain, you get a 140 speed raw tank from Swift Swim, hitting Stab Water moves also boosted from rain, off of a 150 attack stat. Rain Waterfall made Bubbles disgusting especially when paired with the perfect partner: my Primal Kyogre named Leviathina. Infinite unstoppable rain, Swift Swim, 180 special attack Origin Pulse and 150 attack Waterfall. All but Water Absorb, Storm Drain, and Desolate Land were crushed. In fact, Bubbles is so brutal, even though he doesnt even have perfect IVs, that in his Mega form, he can single handedly annihilate the Elite Four by himself. All he needs is Rock Slide, Ice Punch, Waterfall, and Earthquake. Sydney, frail. Phoebe, slow. Glacia, unthreatening. Drake, only minor inconveniences from Salamence's Intimidate. And with Steven, the only real threat is from his Aerodactyl flinching or freezing Bubbles with Ice Fang. Only Aerodactyl, Skarmory, Aggron, and Metagross have a chance of dealing damage, and with how good Bubbles' vitality is, they dont even deal half. They only deal damage because of Sturdy or outspeed. I will 100 percent be bringing Bubbles to ZA if his Mega comes back. Its been ages since I had completed Alpha Sapphire way back in 2016. Yes, Bubbles is almost 10 years old. It is too late to restart now, since the online servers and by extension me completing the dex is gone. We had a good run Bubbles. That'll do, buddy. That'll do.
i personally wish swampert had more defensive utility nowadays to match its role in early gens of competitive. If it could have slack off or shore up and maybe toxic and spikes i think it could be really cool
Totally agree he was perfect for shore up or recover, and good why not blessed with something ability related ... Regenerator, or even some Bonus immunity heal like water absorb or Earth Eater...
I am heavily surprised that it doesn't have belly drum as a move :0 Mega Swampart is heavily good on rain teams however the only issue is that it needs a whole team center around rain or it is just dead weight. It can manually set up rain and sweep that way but that is not too viable unless it is late game :0
