Funny thing is, I was having this problem last night when I was trying to fall asleep with my earbuds in my ears. Definitely a good solution. The lack of volume isn't even a problem because no one wants earphones blasting when they're trying to sleep.
I've been using my sleep phones for two years now and I love them. My doctor suggested them when I couldn't sleep because of anxiety. Whenever im not feeling well I put them on and fall asleep to asmr videos. They're fantastic.
I love my sleepphones. I'm a VERY light sleeper & these have allowed me to get a lot more sleep than I would if I didn't use them. These with a white noise app (or the sleep fan app) is perfect.
Life hack: if you want to sleep on a pillow with headphones on, use a travel pillow on its side. You can put one ear cup in the neck gap of the pillow.
I definitely need those. I need music in order to sleep. I rarely can without music. I have enough of earbuds hurting my ears or giving me ear infections...
I stapled my little headphones in place by the very edge of the plastic encasement felt through the fleecy fabric, so they can't shift. Sleeping with this on is not difficult and tends to deter unwanted chatting it public. The band can be a little warm during summer. Fits loosely. Can be adjusted so one side can hear the outside world fully. Could be inserted into any other tube style fabric headband without sewing skills. I got it in a pretty lavender.
got a set of these. love em. I find noise cancelling Bose better on aircraft but for quiet areas or maybe catching a quick snooze or nap or working nights and wanting to drown out the noise of the day when you're home and trying to sleep, they're brilliant. I use them across my eyes to block the light no idea if that's right but it works.
About stabbing your ear canals with earbuds, Shure's earbuds are designed to fit the ear in a way in order to let you comfortably rest your head on a pillow. And the noise isolation is a must for a plane, plus the audio quality...
I've had these for a couple years, people thought it was a silly wish list item. They're great! Sound quality is mediocre at best but no doubt you can sleep great with them. Thing that ticks me off is the silly upcharge to add Bluetooth.
+TheOddTomato Literally bought these a fee days ago, just for ASMR. I love my Astro A40's to bits, but fuck they're clunky. Hopefully these bad boys offer fill that void
I've had two pairs of Sleepphones. Both worked great until my dog got a hold of them. I plan on buying another pair soon. Very comfortable and I actually thought the sound level was just fine for sleeping.
pro tip, I have 1 pair for in bed and one for in my motorcycle helmet, they work absolutely perfect for that even with sunglasses! no more hurting and shifting ear buds
I like to listen to podcasts before I fall asleep, so if the sound quality is good enough for voice, that would be awesome for me. From the other hand it costs $40, which is way too much for this kind of stuff.
I use this product almost everyday, I work during night, and sleep between morning and afternoon. My family watch tv while I am sleeping, and that make restless unconsciously. I put them on with very low relax sound. It act as noise cancellation for me, and the good thing they never get off my head while I am sleeping. Hint: Since you wear glasses, make sure to take them off. Otherwise, your ears and your head where the ends of your glasses' arms will be irritated.
Finally! It's good to know i'm not the only one who notices this problem. All we need now are sound proof bathrooms, so that way no sound can escape. That way no one can hear you poop. It's embarrassing both inside and out of the bathroom.
If i remember you had a solution for this problem already. A earphone which is placed near the ear opening and it guides the sound waves as electric pulse some sort of.
That's so cool he's sending people on a trip. Way better for fans than shipping them a tv or something. Good on you Lou! PS Jack help me go to Iceland, my passport is still empty and I'll forge you guys some bottle openers that may or may not work.
I think the sleep shepherd found on kickstarter trumps that thing by far. It doesn't play music, but it makes you fall asleep by hacking your brain activity and keeps you asleep for the night. wakes you up and you are spot on, not that droopy mess in the morning. I f any of you have problems falling asleep, staying asleep, getting up or if you are simply interested in some sleep quality tracking, check out the sleep shephert, I love that thing! :)
YES. I have been looking for comfortable headphones to wear to sleep for years. Everything ive tried hurts after a while or fall out and tangle around your body
I genuinely want these to be good. I listen to different sleep aids and definitely earbuds in the ear are a problem. Especially if you use the weird rubber tip ones because they can create like... an air pressure issue. Neat concept.
This is LITERALLY my favorite thing. And I'm a huge nerd. I have gadgets. This is my favorite gadget. I have work related anxiety and listen to audiobooks to fall asleep - otherwise I loop all night about whatever I didn't get done during the day. Pro tip: math or statistics audiobooks are the best for sleeping. Note: the Bluetooth ones are better. The cable is annoying beyond the nap zone. I have both. I'm actually not sure I could sleep without them now. Sad but true.
People already look like crap when they go to the airport. No idea why. It's embarrassing. Just because you have to sit still for several hours doesn't mean you should wear your pajamas.
Pratyush Srivastava Other people are there and don't appreciate the slovenly appearance or the inconsiderate bare feet, especially when paired with the usual questionable hygiene. People have to sit at work for several hours a day, doesn't mean they should look like slobs while doing it. When you are seeing the world the world is also seeing you. People need to get it together.
I'd love to go to Iceland with you Lew! The reasons behind why i'd like to go is simple! I have passion for technology, a love for traveling, and you're one of my Favorite youtubers! I'd love to see what goes on behind the scenes !
I honestly might buy these, both for the fact that you can comfortably listen well resting your head. But the fact that it can be used as a eye mask is great :). I have trouble sleeping if there is any light in the room.
I've been watching your channel for about a year now, love your reviews/unboxings. This is the first item I've bought though. Exactly what I've been looking for. Need my zen music while I close my eyes and head to bed but the damn Apple earphones poke the crap out of me. Would love to go on that trip you brother but I know the odds are slim! Congrats on your success with this channel.
I've thought about picking these up before, since I like to go to sleep listening to an audio book, and I need an eye cover, good to know they aren't too loud also, thanks for reviewing these!
PSA: If you are interested in getting this to fall asleep to music, please buy a bluetooth version so you don't strangle yourself to death with the headphone cord at night.
Why don't anyone make a thick pillow with a hole in the middle, for your headphone/ear to go to? I usually just use those donut shaped neck pillow, but most of the times, they're not thick enough. 2 stacked together worked great, but it's a pain carrying 2 of those pillows. A thicker one would be great.....
Hey @Unbox Therapy, I got and had the VModa ZN and also the RHA T10. Both you can wear and sleep with! and great sound also. I prefer the VMODA ZN more than the RHA
well, i created this 10 years back with 50mm headphone drivers from a cheapo headphone(with front frames) and bikers ear muffs. cut out the ear cover from the bottom and inserted the drivers then sewed it back together( thats why i had to include the frame) they STOLE my idea!
