I’m gonna start bringing a high-power neodymium magnet wherever I go if this is gonna be the case so that way when I’m arguing with the cashier, I can just leave my little magnet in front of their device by being a boom give me a real employee
@GDUBLU_Fan they would keep things the same price, you see that in the car market now where prices went up due to supply issues, then once they came back down in cost from issues resolving they kept prices high. Tire industry is the same, most just pocket the profit for the bottom line. Won't help anyone but owners
@@RU-vidrUser002are you stupid? If this becomes the norm, they CAN'T get one. It's better to keep your mouth shut and make everyone think you're an idiot than to actually prove it
@@Hhifixthat would make sense if it wasn't the Republicans who are the ones getting these laws passed. Don't get me wrong the Dems don't actually care to stop it, but it always makes me laugh so hard when you guys just blindly blame everything on the party you don't like. Neither of them work for you and it's crazy that so many people act like you. Tell me you use mainstream media without telling me 😂
As a minimum paid employee it's a very scary thought. I hope the government does step in, before the unemployment rate skyrockets Edited: my first 1k like.🎉
oh no they won’t the government doesn’t care about any of us they think of us as nothing more than sheep waiting for them to take our wool so that we can freeze in the cold the wool in the metaphor is money
@Mike_Hawk1 Normally, you would be right, they would do nothing, HOWEVER, government dissatisfaction and homelessness would be so ridiculously high that even the most corrupt governments would be forced to do something.
@@Mike_Hawk1they will step in. The amount of political extremism this will create will be insane. They have ro or they will loose power. They will do some kind of universal income, so you wont have a job, but you wil get some scraps.
@@Arak_Drakonizit would be very difficult to sue them because they live in different counties with different jurisdiction’s but they could find a way to get them.
Russian virtual cashier laughing as he lives in Moscow, so the US cannot arrest him or else Russia will declare war on the US for trying to arrest the virtual cashier physically: 😂😂😂😂🇷🇺🇷🇺🇷🇺🇷🇺
@@weewoo695 for companies that would do this. Like wallmart or smth the robbery will not even leave a scratch in their budget. they would rather deal with the missing items then a bad press from an employee dying heroicly trying to save a pack of beer from being stolen.
As a physical cashier in the Netherlands, we get paid decently well luckily, above minimum wage even. We get some benefits such as discounts on gym membership, discounts in the stores of course, and students get study help during exams. If course it would be fun to get paid more, but as of now I can't complain
Where I grew up and went to university, as well as where I live now, most cashiers make above minimum wage... *and they're almost always hiring.* I absolutely could be mistaken, but from what I've seen this is more of a problem for places where local government and people who _insist_ on living in big, popular cities *make* it a problem. But I prefer living in flyover country, so my bias is likely influencing my conclusion.
Wow You Live In The Netherlands! It's A Pretty Place, But The Taxes Are So High, And You Also Make Minimum Wage. Why Don't You Try Learning Something Online? It's 2024, You Can Learn Stuff Like Coding For Completly Free And You Can Get A Job
Virtual cashiers: I work remotely, but I still get paid pennies. Yay. Normal cashiers: Im depressed and have no life.😢 Edit: I forgot to address that it symbolized American cashiers. Sorry.
I know, but at the same time, he has to deal with SpongeBob and Patrick as their neighbors everyday and to me, he either needs some time off or Mr krabs lets squidward take over the Krusty crab
As a Walmart stocker, i guaranfuckingtee you that remote stocking is never going to happen. There's far to much bs that a robot would be too limited in dealing with.
I was a cashier at a olace where you had 8 hour shifts. Nowhere to sit, one thirty minute break and a 15, one of the bosses would get mad if you walked around and he saw even one customer near the tills. I developed an issue with my knees to the point it hurt to stand and may have stunted my growth.
That is some scary sh*t right there! What's lacking with this idea is the customer/staff interaction, having that person there in the flesh, so to speak. Self checkout stations are fine for some (which have their pros and cons!) but need a staff member on-site when there's an issue. This maybe called progress, I personally do not!
I just recently found out about a robot that commited sweet side in South Korea. Yes, not joking. And due to guidelines, I can't say that "s" word here.
Unemployment is one thing, but you know the companies aren't going to pass the savings onto the customers. Prices will continue to skyrocket as quality of goods and services continue to go down 😕
Luckily I don’t need to worry since I work in the very Deep South of Texas, but I’ll have to worry for my kids in the future, if I can even fucking afford kids in the future
If I go to order a coffee and some dude starts talking to me through a screen I'm going to turn around and get out. At that point I'm just going to make it myself
if i had a nickel for every time I saw a spongebob character in this comment section, i would have two nickels. That isn't much but it's weird it happened twice.
this isn't scary, it's depressing and fucked up. this is what capitalism brings us, innovation, they call it. really its a race to the bottom with wages, and we will never be able to compete with countries that have currencies orders of magnitude less value than US dollars. between this type of stuff, manufacturing already declining, and AI, the job situation might get a lot worse in the near future
That's the neat part: You don't. No but seriously, I hope that Whatever happens, it bettr not make my life hell. Honestly, I don't think I wanna go to colege anymore.
Most workers in my country are minimum wage workers, and in a third world country, our minimum wage in US$ is under a dollar an hour. $3 an hour sounds like a dream
Finna have another depression with this one 🗣️🔥💯 all jokes aside though this is actually terrifying. I wouldn’t want to go to the store and talk to a robot 😭
As someone from New Jersey the only state left that prohibits pumping you're own gas. I always wondered why people fight to change this. I don't want to pump my gas if I don't have to. The point being any money saved by the company by firing gas attendants will go right in their pocket. You will essentially be working for them and you will not save a penny on you're gas. That's what all these self serve kiosks do
As someone living in India if I got a job as a virtual cashier $5 an hour it would still be an awesome offer cause by working 8 hours a day and 20 days a month you can earn ₹68,000 which is more than what you can earn here even with a masters degree.
Can confirm... I'm a customer service representative...aka, cashier that has to do all kinds of things. I'm paid more than the state minimum, but still treated like shit. My manager has refused to help me resolve this problem with a coworker who continues to be rude and disrespectful to me.
You know why this works? 3$ an hour in my country. India. It's like 240 rupees. It's too much in India for an hour. Some people make that much only in a day.
